Bug Hunters: Game 4

Douglas Rector 2 has entered the room.
Darsh Belmont: Okay, checking on pizza. Be back in a hurry.
DreaMwrite1: hi guys
Darsh Belmont: Darn, another 5 minutes or so.
DreaMwrite1: Another person will be joining us today. He might be joining in later on in the campaign.
m1N1j4Y has entered the room.
DreaMwrite1: As we last left our heroes the group had just returned to their base at Area 51 after a very long, but successful mission...
DreaMwrite1: As Commander Green questions Daemon and Douglas, Darsh walks off into the hangar with his mech.
DreaMwrite1: This is the last the group sees him for the next few days at least. Douglas, Daemon, and Mike wake up in their room to the alarm clock...
DreaMwrite1: Darsh is still no where to be seen...
DreaMwrite1: Its been four days or so since they had returned from their recon mission...
DreaMwrite1: ((Begin))
Darsh Belmont: ((Let's see, Mike is an NPC, Daemon is not here, I'm elsewhere, so that basically means Douglas begin))
Douglas Rector 2: *shuts off alarm*
Douglas Rector 2: *yawns*
Douglas Rector 2: *gets dressed and heads to the mess hall*
DreaMwrite1: Mike and Daemon also get ready.
DreaMwrite1: "I wonder whatever happened to Darsh..." says Mike curiously.
DreaMwrite1: After getting ready you all get up and start walking toward the mess hall.
DreaMwrite1: After getting breakfast the three of you are called into the breifing room over the intercom...
DreaMwrite1: ((Lets just say the game is paused until Daemon gets here))
Darsh Belmont: ((So what is his story anyway?))
DreaMwrite1: ((Oh he has some kind of training thing for a first person shooter game.))
DreaMwrite1: ((For his gaming guild))
Darsh Belmont: ((So how much longer before he shows up?))
DreaMwrite1: ((Half hour at the latest.))
Douglas Rector 2: (okay, I'll just sit here and watch Alias then :-) )
DreaMwrite1 has left the room.
Douglas Rector 2: =-O
Darsh Belmont: What is so surprising?
Douglas Rector 2: our illustrious GM disseparated
m1N1j4Y: Dun dun dun..... (the plot thickens)f
DreaMwrite1
has entered the room.
DreaMwrite1: ((One of you be sure to save the log of this game.))
Darsh Belmont: But of course.
DreaMwrite1: ((Dang I hate it when that happens :-( ))
Darsh Belmont: ((Don't worry, I'm sure it will still happen a few more times. :-P ))
Douglas Rector 2: done
Darsh Belmont: ((Alias is over?))
Douglas Rector 2: no, I logegd the chat
Douglas Rector 2: Alias goes off at 10:00 :p
Darsh Belmont: ((That's what I thought. And you just barely logged the chat? Wow, I was way ahead of you.))
DreaMwrite1: As you all walk into the briefing room you see the Commander standing there, rank pins sitting on the table in front of him along with some pieces of paper.
DreaMwrite1: The scientist you had seen before who had explained what was known about the bugs is also there, standing next to the Commander.
Darsh Belmont: ((But Daemon is not here yet))
DreaMwrite1: ((I'll explain it to him later then.))
DreaMwrite1: "It has been decided that since the four of you have gone through an experience similar to basic training here on the compound and are using 'aircraft' in the loosest term owned by the Air Force it has been decided...
DreaMwrite1: To give the four of you assigned ranks...
DreaMwrite1: The Commander then gets up and puts pins with rank insignia on the collar of each of the pilot's shirts.
DreaMwrite1: You all notice that Douglas is the only one who gets the higher rank of 1st Lieutenant while the others get the rank of 2nd Lieutenant...
DreaMwrite1: ((These ranks are understood by the characters that have all gone through a training regimen that included recognizing ranks.))
DreaMwrite1: ((They know that these two ranks are for new Air Force officers aswell.))
DreaMwrite1: The Commander then steps back. "From now on when in the field, Douglas will be the squad leader."
DreaMwrite1: The commander then clears his throut. "Now onto more pressing business."
DreaMwrite1: "Your mission is to get a disk in a secret labratory under a casino in Las Vegas. This disk contains very important data concerning out current situation."
DreaMwrite1: The lights go off as slides begin to be shown behind the Commander. The first slide shows the location of the lab within the city.
Douglas Rector 2: (afk for a moment)
DreaMwrite1: "As you can tell the lab is very close to the higher concentrations of bugs so stealth will be of the utmost importance."
DreaMwrite1: "Not even the suits will be able to handle a mass of army ants.
DreaMwrite1: He then motions and the slide changes to a side view of a building showing many layers beneath it.
DreaMwrite1: "You will have to go through many levels of automated security systems. It is suggested that you either try to hurry past them or shut them off by entering the security room here." he points to a room on the schematic.
DreaMwrite1: The location of the lab within the city as well as the building schematics have already been uploading into the mechs' computers.
Douglas Rector 2: (nifty :-) )
DreaMwrite1: "The lab will be at the very bottem of the building and Douglas will know how to get the disk from the computer system there."
DreaMwrite1: "Are there any questions?" says the Commander calmly.
DreaMwrite1: He looks over at Darsh, knowing he has one.
Darsh Belmont: "Yes, if we are to shut off the security systems, am I to take it that the security codes have been uploaded as well?"
Darsh Belmont: ((:-D))
Darsh Belmont: "And when will we leave on this mission?"
DreaMwrite1: "Yes the security codes have also been downloaded you should have no difficulty getting into the base."
Darsh Belmont: ((*waits for the second answer*))
DreaMwrite1: "You will be leaving right away. Report to the hangar post haste." says the scientist before the Commander can speak.
Douglas Rector 2: *hopes Lt. Belmont won't spaz out again*
Darsh Belmont: *eyes the scientist* "That reminds me, have you learned anything new about the Cimex that may come in handy?"
DreaMwrite1: "Yes, sir!" says Mike as he salutes and marches out the door to the hangar.
Darsh Belmont: "I take it you have already been doing your experiments"
DreaMwrite1: ((I never quite got the "Sir, yes, sir!" thing that the military sometimes does. Now that is redundant.))
DreaMwrite1: "There are no experiments, Darsh." says the man in the lab coat simply.
Douglas Rector 2: ( the first sir is to acknoweledge that you recieved the order, the second to punctuate your compliance)
DreaMwrite1: "Dismissed."
Darsh Belmont: *taps finger* "Very well, that still doesn't answer if you have learned anything that may come in handy."
Douglas Rector 2: *salutes and hads off to the hangar*
DreaMwrite1: They both act like they didn't hear you, Darsh.
Darsh Belmont: *stands up* "Very well." *salutes, but it is clearly reluctant. Then heads off*
DreaMwrite1: The four of you head off to the hangar, Daemon unusually quiet.
DreaMwrite1: "I can't wait to have another crack at those bugs."
Darsh Belmont: *wonders how they intend for us to get there this time*
DaemonEgo has entered the room.
DaemonEgo: (Ahhh I"m ammused....where are my ladies at?)
DaemonEgo: *looks around for the crowd of addoring women to tell him where he is*
Douglas Rector 2: "well team, let's suit up and review the mission paramaters"
Darsh Belmont: *still wondering if they were stupid enough to crate up our suits and put them on a plane again*
DreaMwrite1: As you all walk into the hangar you hear one of the mechanics saying "How the hell do you keep on getting in here?" and "Ahhh get them off me get them off me!"
DreaMwrite1: Do you open the door?
Douglas Rector 2: what door?
DreaMwrite1: Into the hangar that is.
DaemonEgo: *gest a flustered look in his eyes* "I didn't mean it!"
Darsh Belmont: ((*wonders how these women are mysteriously living around the base at all times*
DreaMwrite1: ((The base has a city sector for civilian refugees. I mentioned that already...))
DreaMwrite1: Women start flying out from the hangar after Daemon.
Douglas Rector 2: ( :-D )
Douglas Rector 2: ( you asked for it :-P )
DreaMwrite1: The get squished in the doorway.
Darsh Belmont: ((I need to find that part. I think I'm just getting more and more forgetful))
DreaMwrite1: "Its Daemon!" one of the girls scream. They thrust themselves through the door and crowd around Daemon.
DreaMwrite1: Mike takes the opportunity and runs into the hangar.
Darsh Belmont: *walks into the hangar once the girls rush Daemon, since the coast should be clear*
Douglas Rector 2: *creeps aroudn and tries to get into the hangar door*
DaemonEgo: *puts one hand to his head as if he has a headache*
DreaMwrite1: Daemon you have women pushing autograph books, scraps of paper, peices of clothing, etc at your face to sign.
DaemonEgo: *signs the peices of clothing, ignores the scraps of paper, and signs the really good looking autograph books first*
DreaMwrite1: The three pilots leave Daemon behind, walking into the hangar.
Douglas Rector 2: "man, they really need to step up security in this place"
DreaMwrite1: You see mechanics preparing the mecha for operation. Repairs on the dents and gashes on Douglas' mech are completed now.
DaemonEgo: *takes a bunch of peices of paper and signs them all at once never letting go, then when he has a large pile he tosses them all into teh air over the women and runs off*
Darsh Belmont: ((I thought you were signing papers :-P))
DreaMwrite1: The girls tackle you to the ground, Daemon. They begin ripping your clothes apart.
Douglas Rector 2: "now then..." *admires the repair job on the Valcionne J"
DreaMwrite1: The sleeve to the left side of your shirt. peices of the chest, the knees of one leg.
DaemonEgo: "Girls if you hurt me I won't be able to do anymore movies!"
DreaMwrite1: You see that your mechs have all been installed with parachutes on their backs.
DreaMwrite1: Daemon's voice is squelched by the screaming of a lot of teenage girls and a few old guys...
DaemonEgo: oh oh oh god nOOOOOOoO
DaemonEgo: OW OW OW
DaemonEgo: (God I"m going to cry over that one!)
DaemonEgo: "I left an autographed picture of myself with only boxers on at the diner at the other side of town, the first one to get it can have it!"
DreaMwrite1: Douglas, Darsh, and Mike hear Daemon screaming in the background over the screaming girls.
DaemonEgo: *starts to sound panicked*
Douglas Rector 2: "just ignore him and he will go away"
Douglas Rector 2: "but then again, he's holding up the mission" *sigh*
DaemonEgo: (Why does everyone hateee meee... :P )
Darsh Belmont: "Yes, sir" *looks at Douglas and smiles*
DreaMwrite1: ((There is no town though there is a civilian district where they should be.))
DaemonEgo: (that would be what I ment...change it to fit whatever knowledge I have of teh place..which is nill personaly but character... :P )
Douglas Rector 2: *heads over and yanks Daemon out of the pile before they notice that he's gone and drags him over to his mecha as fast as possible*
DreaMwrite1: When your uniform has been properly torn to shreds the girls (and a few guys) run off.
DreaMwrite1: Daemon now looks like he just survived a bug attack.
DaemonEgo: *muttesr as he's dragged away, a wild look in his eyes* "I liked fighting that mech a lot better....those girls have no mercy..."
Douglas Rector 2: "mechanic, could you acquire a new uniform for the lieutenant here?"
DaemonEgo: "Faceal reconstructive surgery is almost an option..."
DreaMwrite1: "Yes, I'll get one sent to the plane before it lifts off."
DreaMwrite1: The four of you notice two F-16 fighters armed to the teeth with missles taxi in next to the large cargo plane, similiar to the one you had ridden in before.
DaemonEgo: "Thanks...." *is extremely addled but manages to pull some scraps together to cover himself*
DreaMwrite1: ((Luckly they didn't take your rank pin.))
DaemonEgo: (it's a small price to pay if the men didn't get ahold of me)
Douglas Rector 2: "when the bug invasion has been repelled and everything's back to normal I'm sure you'll be able to buy back your clothes and hair on e-bay"
Douglas Rector 2: ( :-D )
DreaMwrite1: *Will all mech pilots enter the cargo plane in their mechs now* you hear a voice say over the intercom.
Darsh Belmont: *gets into the EGL-0 without hesitation*
DaemonEgo: "Yes....can I get some pants first?"
DaemonEgo: *looks around still holding his scraps of clothes together*
Douglas Rector 2: "they're on the cargo plane"
Douglas Rector 2: "put 'em on when we're aboard"
DaemonEgo: "Oh thank goodness" *runs off awarkdly*
DreaMwrite1: A soldier carrying another uniform for Daemon hands it to him. "Commander said ya can dress in the plane."
Douglas Rector 2: *suits up and heads to the plane*
DaemonEgo: (see aformentioned statement)
DaemonEgo: *scrambles to put clothes on*
Darsh Belmont: *heads into the plane*
DreaMwrite1: ((Do ya bring your mecha there Daemon?))
Douglas Rector 2: "I see London I see France, I se Daemon's underpants"
DreaMwrite1: Mike enters his mecha and walks aboard the plane.
DaemonEgo: (I dunno..)
DreaMwrite1: "Don't forget your mechs you two." yells the pilot to Darsh and Daemon.
DaemonEgo: *throws on pants and then remembers to go grab his Mecha*
Darsh Belmont: ((I already said I entered my mecha))
Darsh Belmont: ((So the pilot wasn't paying attention))
DreaMwrite1: ((Missed that sorry))
Darsh Belmont: ((Not a problem))
DreaMwrite1: "Now get out of there and sit down. We got a long trip."
DaemonEgo: "I need..unbreakable pants...this has happened way to often....they'll be back soon...we need to go quickly!" *eyes go really wide and Daemon runs with his mecha back onto the plane*
Douglas Rector 2: *sits the Valcionne J down in a lotus position and powers down*
DreaMwrite1: When everyone gets on board the plane begins to take off with the two F-16s flying at its side.
DaemonEgo: *puts on the rest of his clothes in the moving plane*
Darsh Belmont: *positions the arms of the mecha to be able to brace him. This way even though he is not in the mecha, he will be close to it*
DreaMwrite1: Mike exits the mecha and sits down.
DreaMwrite1: "Your a weird guy, Darsh..."
Darsh Belmont: "Perhaps. But everyone is wierd is some way or another."
Douglas Rector 2: *sits quietly in shut off mecha, pondering the mission*
DaemonEgo: "Blah...you people are normal, there was a lady I was acting with in one of my movies, I swear she was insane...."
Darsh Belmont: ((Hey, I was told that if we are in the mecha, it drains energy. Moving or not))
DreaMwrite1: ((Yep he is right Douglas ya got to get out.))
Douglas Rector 2: (news to me)
Darsh Belmont: ((Ya, DreaMwrite1 likes springing news like that in mid-game))
Douglas Rector 2: (well that's just silly)
DreaMwrite1: ((Heh relax now I dont do it that often...))
Darsh Belmont: ((Notes to Douglas in case he didn't already know, if you use your mecha over half potential, its considered a combat situation. This way it won't be a surprise later))
DreaMwrite1: You hear the pilot say over the intercom. "Our estimated time of arrival is in two hours. You will be dropped off on the outskirts of the city.
DaemonEgo: (we all know what this thingy we're after looks like?)
Darsh Belmont: ((The base? We were showed on a nice slide show))
Douglas Rector 2: (it would be in our computers once we're on the ground)
Darsh Belmont: ((Hmm...that wasn't exactly proper english))
DreaMwrite1: ((And its on their computer systems on the mech.))
DreaMwrite1: The flight is silent for the first hour and a half.
Darsh Belmont: *sits there trying to figure out what is going on. Begins to forms some really wild conclusions*
Douglas Rector 2: (well actually it's extremely loud, but at least we're not getting attacked :-D )
DaemonEgo: "no thumps....that's good"
DreaMwrite1: You hear gunfire from outside the ship.
DreaMwrite1: "No cause for alarm there are only a few of them out there."
Darsh Belmont: "Douglas, I'm going to get into my mecha and find out what is going on over the radio!"
DreaMwrite1: you hear the pilot say over the intercom.
Darsh Belmont: ((Oops...forget that))
DreaMwrite1: "Looks like that won't be necessary."
DreaMwrite1: "Sure am glad they brought some defences this time aroud." says Mike as he lays back in his char.
DreaMwrite1: chair
DreaMwrite1: After that there are no other problems for the rest of the flight. Soon enough you all hear the pilot over the intercom say. "Enter your mecha we will be dropping you off over the city in a few minutes."
DreaMwrite1: "I hope you all remember how you use the parachuts..."
DaemonEgo: "This should...suck....." *gets over and starts his mecha up*
Darsh Belmont: *gets into the mecha*
DreaMwrite1: Mike gets up and enters his mech.
DaemonEgo: *enters mecha when it's ready, because if I don't spell it out DreaM will think my charactesr reatarded and have him standing there staring at it ;-) *
DreaMwrite1: ((Yep))
DreaMwrite1: Daemon, Darsh, and Mike begin entering their mecha and starting up the systems.
DreaMwrite1: Mike adjusts his parachute and hangs onto the cord.
DreaMwrite1: "Ready guys?" he says over the radio.
DaemonEgo: (If I'm in the mecha then I'ma say "Sure! I guess..no mad women here right?")
Darsh Belmont: *doesn't respond*
DreaMwrite1: "Yep only mad bugs."
DreaMwrite1: Douglas gets into his mecha also.
DreaMwrite1: "Everyone ready?" you hear the pilot yell.
DaemonEgo: "They don't take my clothes untill I'm dead though.."
DreaMwrite1: Over the radio.
Douglas Rector 2: "open up the pod bay doors HAL"
DreaMwrite1: "We will be breaking off our radios when you leave. Just use a flare or something outside the city to get our attention. We will pick ya up."
Douglas Rector 2: "roger"
DreaMwrite1: The hatch opens up and you all go flying out of the cargo bay.
Douglas Rector 2: *deploys parachute upon reaching correct altitude*
DreaMwrite1: The team lands close to where they were on the last mission.
DaemonEgo: *Waits untill the right time and then opens the parachute* (oh..I guess we're smart enough to do that then.. :P )
DreaMwrite1: Everyone deploys their parachutes, landing safely to the ground.
DreaMwrite1: The city is as barren and war torn as it was when you left it.
DaemonEgo: "Wonder if that pin has more people in it."
DreaMwrite1: "Either way we got to focus on our mission at hand. Of course I'm also not the squad leader, so its up to him."
Darsh Belmont: *disconnects the straps of the parachute after landing, then starts to make way towards the destination*
Douglas Rector 2: *looks in the computer to see where the building we want is*
DreaMwrite1: Mike also disconnects his parachute.
DaemonEgo: *takes the ugly baggage off and follows the others, keeping an eye on his radar to see if it acts weird again*
DreaMwrite1: The map of the city pops up over your computer screen, the position of the four of you and the location of the lab is marked on it.
Darsh Belmont: *uses the schematic as well as his knowledge of the layout of the land to help navigate. Not going too fast to make sure the others are following*
Darsh Belmont: ((Pause!))
Douglas Rector 2: "okay men, our objective is in that direction. Be as low-key as possible" *jettisons the parachute and heads in the lab's direction*
Darsh Belmont: ((I said pause! :-D He got disconnected))
DreaMwrite1 has left the room.
Douglas Rector 2: (we posted simulataneously)
DreaMwrite1 has entered the room.
Darsh Belmont: ((Just kidding, didn't bother me none. You just have to repost it))
DreaMwrite1: ((At least reconnection is faster than before))
Douglas Rector 2: (recombobulated now?)
Darsh Belmont: ((What's the last thing you saw?))
DreaMwrite1: ((After Darsh disconnected his parachute.))
Darsh Belmont: ((Well, you posted after that. So I'll just start from there))
DreaMwrite1: ((ok))
Darsh Belmont: *uses the schematic as well as his knowledge of the layout of the land to help navigate. Not going too fast to make sure the others are following*
Darsh Belmont: Douglas Rector 2: "okay men, our objective is in that direction. Be as low-key as possible" *jettisons the parachute and heads in the lab's direction*
Douglas Rector 2: "okay men, our objective is in that direction. Be as low-key as possible" *jettisons the parachute and heads in the lab's direction*
Darsh Belmont: ((Tried to save you the trouble. Sorry))
DreaMwrite1: ((Heh ok gotcha.))
DreaMwrite1: "Roger."
DreaMwrite1: Mike follows after Douglas.
DaemonEgo: (already said I was gonna follow the leader :P )
DreaMwrite1: The squad heads toward the marking on the map until a bug enters their line of sight.
Darsh Belmont: *tries to find a place to hide*
Douglas Rector 2: *ducks behind the nearest building*
DreaMwrite1: The four pilots dart behind a building as the army ant passes by.
DreaMwrite1: It doesn't appear to have noticed you.
DreaMwrite1: The group continues to hide behind the building as the bug soon goes out of range of their radar.
DaemonEgo: *puts one hand to his head in a reflexive whew motion*
Douglas Rector 2: *peeks aroudn the building to see if there's any more*
Darsh Belmont: *while hiding, tries to study the map towards the base to try and find the best out of sight route*
DreaMwrite1: "Sir, I'm detecting heavy concentrations of bugs ahead of us."
DreaMwrite1: "They seem to be focusing around our destination..."
DreaMwrite1: "I'm also detecting a rather large object within the mass of them..."
DaemonEgo: *mutters to himself* "Of course they are...." *fingers his three holoprojections orbs and gets ready to start one up*
Darsh Belmont: *whipsered aloud, but still over the radio* "Deep in bug territory. Could this be the same mission he was on?"
Douglas Rector 2: "we better get out of here then. stay on the hidden side of the buildings" *sneaks along out of sight of the street*
Darsh Belmont: *continues to examine the route to the base trying to see if there may be a better course*
DreaMwrite1: ((Does this mean you arn't going toward the casino with the underground lab now or are sneaking around toward it to avoid getting spotted?))
Douglas Rector 2: (I don't know if we can get to the casino directly from here)
Douglas Rector 2: (if there are bugs in the road we can't take a direct route anyway, so we'll have to go around the bugs first)
DreaMwrite1: ((Better inform the others about that then...))
DreaMwrite1: "What are your orders, Douglas?"
Douglas Rector 2: "stay hidden and keep moving"
Darsh Belmont: ((Did I find any good side routes as of yet?))
DaemonEgo: "Can we get a look at this object they've got with them? maybe it's something important they're guarding..."
Douglas Rector 2: "maybe, but I'd wager it's another robot like the one they had last time"
Darsh Belmont: "Douglas, I think I found the best route to the underground base."
DaemonEgo: "Prolly....but I dunno bout that robot we fought, that whole thing was just odd..."
DreaMwrite1: "My scanners are out of range to figure out what it is but it is bigger than an army ant and moving...
Douglas Rector 2: "which way Lt. Belmont?"
DaemonEgo: "Hold on..lemme set up my scanners and I'll take a look.."
Darsh Belmont: "Follow me" *starts in the direction moving slowly and keeping an eye on the scanner for any bugs*
Darsh Belmont: *goes very cautiously before crossing any major roads*
Douglas Rector 2: *pokes out between two buildings to see if he can get across the street to Darsh without being seen and follows*
Darsh Belmont: *will duck down to one knee and peeks around the corner and so forth*
Darsh Belmont: *then goes as quickly as he can across*
DreaMwrite1: A little sphere begins to orbit around Daemon.
Darsh Belmont: *while on route, over the radio* "Tell me Douglas, what kind of risks are you willing to take to complete this mission?"
Darsh Belmont: *waits to make sure the others are able to follow as he goes*
DreaMwrite1: The group takes the "long way" to the building, avoiding contact with the bugs this way.
DaemonEgo: "You can bet the minute we start making noise they'll decend on us anyway..."
Douglas Rector 2: "we're supposed to be as surreptitious as possible on this one, so as long as we don't have to blow anything up we should be fine"
Darsh Belmont: *from the way he moves, even in his mecha, it seems like he has had experience moving in this way*
DreaMwrite1: As the group gets closer they begin to hear a loud stomping sound.
DreaMwrite1: "Umm, Douglas. My scanners have figured out what that large object is..."
DaemonEgo: *gets very quite inside his mecha*
Douglas Rector 2: "what is it?"
Darsh Belmont: *will stay motionless when the sound gets close, hoping it will leave*
DreaMwrite1: The group sees a gigantic head peak out from the corner of the street, luckly looking in the opposite direction of the team.
DreaMwrite1: It then backs up.
DreaMwrite1: "Its a bug, sir. A very very big bug."
DaemonEgo: (did we recognize that one? ....)
DreaMwrite1: ((You guys have no clue what the hell that was.))
Douglas Rector 2: "let's try not to learn any more about it shall we?"
DreaMwrite1: The bug's head was similiar to a beetle's with what looked to be a very thick exoskeleton. It had large mandibles and large horns.
DreaMwrite1: The horns by themselves are the size of Darsh's EGL-0.
DreaMwrite1: "Hmm I'd have to agree with Douglas on this one..."
DaemonEgo: "Arg...temptation to shot it...I never had to sneak in my movies.."
DreaMwrite1: Mike sounds a little bit shaky.
Douglas Rector 2: "in your movies you only had to fight computer generated monsters, these things are much much worse"
DreaMwrite1: "I think the best idea for this situation, Daemon, is to not start a fight with that thing."
DaemonEgo: "It'd finish me quickly, those women wouldn't...I'd take my chances with it thanks..." *grumbles but follows the others elsewhere..*
Darsh Belmont: *uses sensors to see if it is still around (not to mention listening to hear if I can still hear it moving)*
Darsh Belmont: "They're guarding the building we need to get to closely. See if any of you can find another way in from the schematics of the base"
Darsh Belmont: *studies the layout of the base to see if there are any types of back doors (term used loosely)*
Douglas Rector 2: *checks as well*
DaemonEgo: "Worst to worst maybe if we all get to good posistions and hit that main bug at once...."
DreaMwrite1: "Daemon that thing could swallow you whole..."
DaemonEgo: "If we have to fight our way through it, what better then concentrating on it alone? It's just a option..."
Douglas Rector 2: "seeing how badly we did against something a fraction its size, avoidance is the best policy"
Darsh Belmont: "The point of this mission is to get the disk, not defeat the bugs. Douglas, this is the part where you will have to make those hard command decisions. I have an idea, but I don't know how much you will like it."
Douglas Rector 2: "I can't hate your idea unless you tell me"
Darsh Belmont: "I've looked over the layout of the base and can't find any other way in. And the bugs seem to be guarding it very well. It will be nearly impossible to get in without all of us getting into a fight. Unless..."
DaemonEgo: "Spit it out, this is not the place to pussy foot.."
Darsh Belmont: "...unless one of us serve as a distraction. I could launch an early assualt getting their attention. I would then try to divert them. The rest of you could hopefully sneak in while they are distracted."
Douglas Rector 2: "you think you can take that behemoth on your own?"
Darsh Belmont: "I don't intend to kill it. Just get its attention and run. Its a gamble, but it seems like the best way to be able to accomplish our mission."
DaemonEgo: "He's not saying to take it..just distract it away. I might be able to help him if you think you'll need it."
Darsh Belmont: "That is unless anyone else has any better ideas."
DreaMwrite1: ((Heh everyone wants to fight the big bug. Rock, paper, scissors?))
Darsh Belmont: ((Hey, if someone else wants it, they can have it :-P))
DaemonEgo: (in rpgs games what do you do? buff yourself and attack the biggest thing in site untill you win!)
Douglas Rector 2: "do you have any explosive armaments on that thing Belmont?"
DaemonEgo: (did any of them look like they had wings of sorts?)
DreaMwrite1: ((You can only see the other bugs on radar. You have only gotten a visual of the large one.))
Darsh Belmont: "Well, to be honest...you have seen all the weapons I have on this thing. At least the ones I have found thus far."
Douglas Rector 2: "any way you could draw their attention without actually being seen?
DaemonEgo: "I think I can do the hit and runs really well if you guys give me a few to set up, or I could try to set up a blank hologram for you to use."
Darsh Belmont: "Not that I know of. I can fire my rifle at some fairly decent ranges...but they will figure out where I am attacking from soon enough."
Douglas Rector 2: "we'll need your holography to help us get into the building unseen. Even if Darsh can draw their attention they'r enot likely to all abandon their posts"
DaemonEgo: *nods* "Whatever I can do, though I'll leave a spot set aside for you Darsh. In case you need it, it won't be big but I hope it'll help."
Douglas Rector 2: "looks like we're going with your plan Darsh"
Douglas Rector 2: "let's get into position"
Darsh Belmont: "Wait a minute....Daemon, you said you can create holograms. How big and how long?"
DaemonEgo: "About the size of a car, three spot locations, but it's froma mini mecha that my suit generates."
Darsh Belmont: "Damn...that won't work then for what I was thinking. All right, seems like the plan stands as is then."
Darsh Belmont: *examines the radar and tries to find the least guarded entrance*
Darsh Belmont: "Okay, the back seems the least guarded. There are still six there. And then there is the big one patrolling the entire perimeter. I'll wait for it to reach the front before starting my distraction."
Darsh Belmont: "Try to make sure you are ready to go."
DaemonEgo: "Where are you going to hit it from?"
Darsh Belmont: *you can hear him mumble* "I just hope this works"
DreaMwrite1: "Its a long shot, but I'm ready." says Mike in a steady voice.
DreaMwrite1: "What do you say to all of this squad leader?"
Douglas Rector 2: "get ready we'll go in after they begin to chase Darsh"
DreaMwrite1: "Roger that."
Darsh Belmont: "I will be attacking from the left side of the back. If this works, that will draw them towards me and away from you. If they don't seem to budge, I may need to do a fly over."
DreaMwrite1: "I sure hope this works..."
DreaMwrite1: To Be Continued.
DaemonEgo: Lol..
DreaMwrite1: Heh good as time as any.
DaemonEgo: Alright
DaemonEgo: yep
DreaMwrite1: save that someone.
DreaMwrite1: please
DaemonEgo: I had a nice big plan set up too
Douglas Rector 2: okay
Darsh Belmont: Saved
DreaMwrite1: And send it on over.
DaemonEgo: get us a map up too DreaM :P
DaemonEgo: just a quick pos one
DreaMwrite1: Will give ya some time to think on that Daemon.
DreaMwrite1: I will.
DreaMwrite1: Another reason I ended it there.
DreaMwrite1: Well that was a good game everyone.
DreaMwrite1: Giving ranks seemed to really help with organization too.
Darsh Belmont: Yes, no military game should be without ranks. Learned that a long time ago.
DreaMwrite1: Heh
DaemonEgo: the sky is falling!
DreaMwrite1: yep you guys all did great and thought out the whole situation.
DaemonEgo: seirouesly wtf..
DaemonEgo: next time we go balls out and kill it
Douglas Rector 2: when does the new guy get to join?
DreaMwrite1: lol
DreaMwrite1: Not sure.
Douglas Rector 2: heh, you forget how we nearly got creamed by that enemy mech
DreaMwrite1: Might be next week.
Douglas Rector 2: and that bug is alot bigger than that mech
DreaMwrite1: At least Douglas did.
DreaMwrite1: ;-)
DaemonEgo: pf that's because DreaM was like 'my prize mecha can't get hit! lets edit the rolls!'
Douglas Rector 2: I took the most damage, but non was even putting a scratch on it
DaemonEgo: otherwise he would have ended up with holes stright through him
DreaMwrite1: How many of you guys thought that big dude on radar was a mech?
Douglas Rector 2: ^no-one
DreaMwrite1: Just curious.
DaemonEgo: I had no idea what it was
DreaMwrite1: I don't edit rolls.
Douglas Rector 2: I didn't know what it was, I figured it could be a mecha, some sort of bug queen, or even a mobile hive or soemthing
Darsh Belmont: I never heard you mention the bug on radar until we saw it.
DreaMwrite1: He just had lvl 3(or more) Extra Attacks.
DaemonEgo: no you just add bouneses to dodges ^_^
DreaMwrite1: So he could keep on making attacks and Douglas could only make one defensive action.
Douglas Rector 2: he mentioned that the large force of bugs on radar was accompanied by something extremely large
DreaMwrite1: Bug queen?
DaemonEgo: kilt check
Darsh Belmont: I somehow missed that entire part Douglas Rector 2.
DreaMwrite1: Heh ya really think I'd introduce something big like that in the fourth game?
Douglas Rector 2: you introduced an invincible mecha in game 1 :p
DreaMwrite1: Well ya.
DreaMwrite1: He wasn't invincable he just had a whole lot of armor.
DreaMwrite1: So his armor could handle more than a US Battleship.
Douglas Rector 2: that was invulnerable to our weapons, and rgenerated
DreaMwrite1: With only being a fraction of the size.
DreaMwrite1: Ok so a US Battleship that can regenerate any hit it takes.
DreaMwrite1: Course nothing is invincable. You just got to know what its weakness is.
DaemonEgo: pft...if my shots had hit at all..
DaemonEgo: stupid energy shots wouldn't connect..
Douglas Rector 2: so yes, I think you might introduce something like that, not to fight, but just to show what we;re up against
DreaMwrite1: You did dent it a little Daemon.
Douglas Rector 2: just like Darsh thinks that if a dog takes a dump it's hiding a bomb
DaemonEgo: that was my fist
DreaMwrite1: And he got shity rolls remember? So he didnt dodge that much.
DreaMwrite1: Hell he rolled a 12
DaemonEgo: becase my shots weren't connecting
Douglas Rector 2: :-D
DreaMwrite1: Your shots werent connecting Daemon cause ya got crappy rolls I believe...
DreaMwrite1: Anyways how many times did he hit you with his attacks Daemon?
DaemonEgo: none :P
Douglas Rector 2: both he and the enemy mecha were rolling crappy that day, I was rolling crappy defense rolls too
DreaMwrite1: If I was modifying the rolls he would have hit ya.
DaemonEgo: and my rolls were fine on my end
Darsh Belmont: None because he was picking on Douglas with a 2 :-P
DaemonEgo: I kept getting under my cv, but none of them hit at all :P
DreaMwrite1: Well I'm just saying don't say I'm cheating cause I'm not. That isn't fun for either of us.
DaemonEgo: LIESSSSS :D
DreaMwrite1: Your sounding like Justin.
DaemonEgo: LIES LIES LIES LIES LIES LIES LIES LIES
DaemonEgo: :D
DaemonEgo: Now shush, I'm whining
Douglas Rector 2: You're a silly nub and you're railroading us!
Douglas Rector 2: :-D
DaemonEgo: hahahahah
DreaMwrite1: now my feelings are hurt :'(
Douglas Rector 2: well that's what he would say if he was really acting like Meow :-)
DaemonEgo: oh get over it
DreaMwrite1: Already am.
DreaMwrite1: Just not giving you guys any experience points for this session.
DaemonEgo: lol we got exp points? :P
DaemonEgo: oh well
DaemonEgo: I'm off for the night
DaemonEgo: I have work in the morning yay
Douglas Rector 2: okie dokie
Darsh Belmont: Farewell DaemonEgo.
DreaMwrite1: ;-)
DaemonEgo: more boring class
DaemonEgo: laters peoples
DreaMwrite1: bye
DaemonEgo has left the room.
DreaMwrite1: You can talk now if ya want m1N1j4Y
DreaMwrite1: What is that suppose to mean anyways?
Darsh Belmont: He's away right now.
Darsh Belmont: MiniJay.
Darsh Belmont: Or so I would think.
DreaMwrite1: oh
DreaMwrite1: So what did ya guys think of today's game?
Douglas Rector 2: thou shalt not acknowledge the L337 speech!
Darsh Belmont: I think....I think....I think I'm going to get creamed next game and my plan won't work.
DreaMwrite1: Always the optimist I see ;-)
Darsh Belmont: What does L337 mean anyway? I never was able to translate that one.
Douglas Rector 2: heh, I suspect we'll be able to get in okay, but getting out will be another matter
Douglas Rector 2: Leet, which is warez for elite
DreaMwrite1: Too bad Daemon can't fly and who knows about Mike's Angel of Vengance.
Darsh Belmont: Mike crashed last time along with Daemon. But yes, I had thought about maybe trying to fly over them.
DreaMwrite1: ya
m1N1j4Y: im back now..
DreaMwrite1
: Welcome back.
m1N1j4Y: that was refreshing ^_^
m1N1j4Y
: thanks
m1N1j4Y
: now whats this im seeing about flying?
Darsh Belmont
: Some mecha can fly, some cannot.
DreaMwrite1: Oh Douglas was just commenting on how they would get out of the building and I commented on flight.
m1N1j4Y: my mecha can fly ^_^
DreaMwrite1
: The mecha that Douglas and Darsh have can fly also.
Darsh Belmont: And mine has nice and pretty wings to show it.
DreaMwrite1: Darsh's has giant bat/bird wing combo and Douglas has jet engines or something?
m1N1j4Y: ahh but mine is sweet lookin ;-)
Douglas Rector 2: look like a blue jay perchance?
m1N1j4Y: nope
Douglas Rector 2
: hehe
m1N1j4Y: heres a description i put in my sheet
m1N1j4Y
: uhh... if it will fit
DreaMwrite1
: I believe its a kind of jet/mech hybrid like robotech that he has.
m1N1j4Y: The CRM-42, SnakeBite, is a mecha about the size of the ones seen in Blue Gender. However it looks at though it were made intirely out of vines.
Douglas Rector 2
: beware, DreaMwrite loves to wreck the party's rides
m1N1j4Y: When it transforms into Jet mode, it looks as if the vines grow into a new shape. However, these "vines" are a solid black color and kind of squishy to the touch.
m1N1j4Y
: very comfortable ^_^
DreaMwrite1
: I think cables, wires, and cords would better describe that...
DreaMwrite1: Should be interesting to see it in action thats for sure.
Darsh Belmont: Well, to save time later, I'll show the description of my mecha for m1N1j4Y's sake.
DreaMwrite1: k
m1N1j4Y: k
Darsh Belmont
: The EGL-0 is a mecha that is fairly humanoid in shape, much like the Egyptian gods of legend, but there are some notable differences. Its body is a bright golden color. On its back are two sets of wings (four wings total).
Darsh Belmont: One set resembles feathered wings while the other set more closely resembles bat wings. The feathered set is closer to the middle of the back and often conceals the bat ones.
DreaMwrite1: Well guys I got to get going.
DreaMwrite1: I'll see ya all later.
Douglas Rector 2: okay
DreaMwrite1: Goodnight
Darsh Belmont: Its fingers are long and skinny, but don't seem to interfere with its ability to grab anything. Each hand only has three fingers and a thumb. The most notable feature about this mecha is its lack of a face
DreaMwrite1 has left the room.
Darsh Belmont: Where the face would normally be is simply a flat smooth surface.
Darsh Belmont: Finished.
Douglas Rector 2 has left the room.
m1N1j4Y: heh cool
Darsh Belmont
: There, now when you join, I won't have to paste it again.
m1N1j4Y: heh k
m1N1j4Y
: ^_^
m1N1j4Y
: hopefully ill be able to come in either sometime during next week or the week after
Darsh Belmont
: Well, look forward to seeing your character then. However, seeing as everyone else is heading off, I suppose it would be best to do the same. If you wish to continue talking, find me under the screen name of Zhalos.
