(12:18:34) (PC)Trent): had just arrived at the city, got Turbo Tech upgrade, and was looking for possible sidequests. (12:19:11) ((GM)_Prysus): Okay, before we start I'll do some setting description ... (12:26:31) ((GM)_Prysus): This is a large technological city. It's not just high tech, it's not just like a modern Terran city, this is the peak of a Terran city. Technology and design at its best, a thriving metropolis. It has several varying sections. One section of the city is the home of the Engineering Guild. As this is such a high tech city, the engineers can be the heart of the city. Without them it would wither and die as it fell into disrepair. As a result, they are one of the most powerful guilds within the city. While it is not restricted for others to enter into the Engineering Guild's territory, few outside of engineers will find anything of worth here. Additionally, like all Guild Sectors, there are some areas that are off limits to all except for Guild Members. Though when looking for specific parts or enhancements, it can usually be found in the sector of the proper guild. Another prominent guild is the Psychic Guild. ((Still typing ...)) (12:27:21) ((GM)_Prysus): ((For note: My notes might be a little out of order as I'm doing this from memory, so I am typing the notes as I remember them.)) (12:27:33) (PC)Trent): (no problem ) (12:33:46) ((GM)_Prysus): The Great City is a large city that exists off the coast of an ocean. It resides on an upward cliff rising up, while there is the beach on the lower side. The beach is typically off limits as the shores are not always safe, especially not at night. Within the city, along the rocky cliffs that face the water, is a sector known as Marine World. This section is strictly off limits to all but military. This is the training ground for the Aqua Marines. While the Great City does have a standard military, the Aqua Marines are their pride and joy. They are skilled on land and in water, the best of the best. To become an Aqua Marine, one must first join the military, and then try to prove they are good enough to make it into the training program. There is a testing program once joining to gauge one's qualifications, and it is possible to get accepted right away. If failing the qualifications, even if the only reason for joining was to become an Aqua Marine, the individual is still a member of the military (sign up first, test second) (12:34:01) ((GM)_Prysus): ((Still typing ...)) (12:34:58) (PC)Trent): *tries to remember if there is an Aqua Marine or Ex- Aqua marine optional character* (12:38:08) ((GM)_Prysus): Gil Lowtide is a water specialist, but there is no mention of him being an Aqua Marine or Ex-Aqua Marine. Though how he is met can vary depending on the story, so it could be something that was missed in a different storyline. (18:03:41) ((GM)_Prysus): Ready! Okay then...(18:06:09) ((GM)_Prysus): Um ...(18:06:32) ((GM)_Prysus): Starting off pretty much where the group arrived at the Great City, did some initial shopping, then asked around about Nanato?(18:06:56) (PC)_Trent): *nods*(18:07:57) ((GM)_Prysus): Roll a D20.(18:09:07) ChatBot: (PC)_Trent) rolls 1d20 and gets (2)=2.(18:09:17) ChatBot: ((GM)_Prysus) rolls 3d20 and gets (10,10,15)=35.(18:15:55) ((GM)_Prysus): The group has been asking around, however whenever the name of Nanato comes up the citizens of the Great City seem to go quiet and stop answering questions, always coming up with an excuse why they can't talk anymore. For some "it's late and I should be getting home now" and for others its "I think I see another customer who needs assistance, I'll be right back" but then never return, and others just go quiet all together. The group continues through the city discussing the matter. Sky, "This isn't good. We're not getting anywhere like this." Holiday, "The people are scared. The mere mention of his name causes the look of fear in their eyes." Sky, "Yeah, but the question is why?" As the two talk a little kid runs up to Aerial and gives her a hug around the waist, "Can you take me for a ride?(18:16:09) ((GM)_Prysus): ((And pausing there to give Trent time to interact.(18:16:34) (PC)_Trent): "Well... maybe he'll come to us."(18:17:13) (PC)_Trent): "If he hears about us looking for him." *moves instinctively so Sky is between him and the kids.*(18:17:47) ((GM)_Prysus): ((It's only one kid, for note. Not a big deal though. Just setting the scene for clarity.(18:18:56) (PC)_Trent): (ah, okay)(18:19:26) (PC)_Trent): "He is either revered and they're scared of us... they're scared of him for some reason, or they're scared FOR him maybe?"(18:19:34) ((GM)_Prysus): Aerial, "Maybe a little later.(18:20:20) (PC)_Trent): "Interesting. Even the little kid." *thoughtfully*(18:23:08) ((GM)_Prysus): *Aerial walks over to the group (she had to stop a little as the kid hugged her, not far, just a little). She's holding something in her hand. It's a piece of a paper. She unfolds it and looks at it.* "He gave me this. It says: Get out." *She shows it to the others. It actually reads: GET OUT!!!*(18:23:35) (PC)_Trent): "Scared for us."(18:23:47) ((GM)_Prysus): Roll a D20.(18:23:51) ChatBot: ((GM)_Prysus) rolls 3d20 and gets (18,13,3)=34.(18:23:57) ChatBot: (PC)_Trent) rolls 1d20 and gets (6)=6.(18:30:01) ((GM)_Prysus): Sky is the first to move. She takes positions herself to the other side of the group. A few moments later Trent notices why. There are four robots flying down towards them. The robots are gum drop shaped, with two arms on the side. At the end of each arm is not a hand, but a barrel to a weapon with what looks like targeting systems and cameras attached. It's only then that Trent realizes Holiday already has a hand on his weapons, ready for battle if it comes down to it. He's clearly already aware of their guests. The robots have their weapons pointed at the group and a voice sounds out, "Halt! Put down your weapons You are ordered to come with us for questioning." Though it's a man's voice, it's not a transmitter. The robot is simply programmed with a male voice to sound more humanoid, even if its appearance is nothing of the kind.(18:32:54) (PC)_Trent): *has weapon out.* oO(I've never been in this story line. But... if we have to surrender, we won't have a choice in the matter. Fight until there is no other option.)(18:33:07) (PC)_Trent): "Going where?"(18:37:46) ((GM)_Prysus): Aerial, "Maybe we should just listen." Holiday, "If we hand over our weapons we'll be at their mercy. I don't like it." Robots (to Trent): "You will be taken to the Chief Directorate. Force is authorized if you do not comply immediately."(18:38:32) (PC)_Trent): "How about a compromise? We'll go along as long as we don't give up our weapons."(18:43:12) ((GM)_Prysus): Robots, "There will be no compromise." *The weapons charge, it's getting ready to fire. Sky readies her weapon. As these are ranged weapons combat suggestions are for Trent, Holiday, and Aerial to attack, while she'll have a group defense position. Ranged attacks can be harder to avoid, but she is the fastest of the group and her large sword makes her the best choice to actually defend the group against them. However that will mean she can't attack. Of course, Aerial isn't a very good physical fighter, with most of her strength lying in her herbs. As an offense though, they only work against living beings, and robots have no circulatory system and thereby immune. If things get bad, it's likely she'll be shifted to heal mode, but for now it seems the player would prefer to conserve the heals so they don't run out later.(18:43:17) ((GM)_Prysus): Initiative.(18:44:34) ChatBot: (PC)_Trent) rolls 1d20 and gets (14)=14.(18:44:38) ((GM)_Prysus): Robots, Sky (pointless for the moment as she's defense), Holiday, then Aerial ...(18:44:43) ChatBot: ((GM)_Prysus) rolls 4d20 and gets (4,10,3,20)=37.(18:46:06) ((GM)_Prysus): Aerial, Robot (defense), then it will be Trent's move ...(18:46:09) ChatBot: ((GM)_Prysus) rolls 2d20 and gets (14,9)=23.(18:46:24) ((GM)_Prysus): She hits ... for a very weak attack.(18:47:43) (PC)_Trent): *attacks with an electric blast*(18:47:54) ChatBot: (PC)_Trent) rolls 1d20 and gets (16)+5=21.(18:48:04) ((GM)_Prysus): Robot (defense), Holiday, Robot (defense), Robots (attack), Sky (defense) ...(18:48:10) ChatBot: ((GM)_Prysus) rolls 5d20 and gets (18,17,5,9,2)=51.(18:49:45) ((GM)_Prysus): Roll %.(18:49:56) ChatBot: (PC)_Trent) rolls 1d100 and gets (6)=6.(18:50:41) ((GM)_Prysus): ((Very nice.))(18:50:43) ((GM)_Prysus): Typing ...(18:55:42) ((GM)_Prysus): Trent sends an electric blast at one of the robots. Its ability to fly makes is very maneuverable and ready to dodge, but it's no match for a bolt of lightning as it strikes with full fury. The robot starts to shudder, and then its systems shut down from the electrical surge hitting the floor. As it crashes it explodes sending out debris. One of the destroyed robots severed gun arms flies out and strikes another for added damage to the one Aerial already struck. Meanwhile, Holiday fires off a few blasts (visually, not multiple attacks) from his gun at one of the others hitting it with enough force to destroy it. ((That leaves two left, one of which is decently damaged.)) The two remaining bots fire their weapons. Sky moves in the way trying to parry. Though she's fast enough to get in the way of the attack on her teammates (regardless of who) she's not fast enough to actually parry taking the damage herself. However, Aerial is still set in attack mode leaving Sky to simply take the damage for now.(18:56:00) ((GM)_Prysus): Aerial, Robot (defense), then Trent ...(18:56:03) ChatBot: ((GM)_Prysus) rolls 2d20 and gets (8,1)=9.(18:56:45) ((GM)_Prysus): With her two meager hits, and the damage from the debris it took earlier, it's enough to put the bot out of commision. That leaves only one left.(18:58:03) (PC)_Trent): "How does the compromise sound now?(18:58:36) ((GM)_Prysus): ((Is that your action?))(18:58:53) (PC)_Trent): switches to defensive.(18:59:00) (PC)_Trent): just for this action*(19:00:49) ((GM)_Prysus): Holiday, Robot (defense), Robot (attack), Sky (defense) ...(19:00:51) ChatBot: ((GM)_Prysus) rolls 4d20 and gets (16,13,4,8)=41.(19:02:20) ((GM)_Prysus): Holiday is able to connect, but it's not enough damage to be lethal to the robot. Sky moves to defend against its attack, and being down to only one she's in a far better position to defend without taking damage (as opposed to trying to cover the entire field).(19:02:27) ((GM)_Prysus): Aerial, Robot (defense) ...(19:02:30) ChatBot: ((GM)_Prysus) rolls 2d20 and gets (9,7)=16.(19:03:19) ((GM)_Prysus): She connects for absolute minimum damage barely worth even mentioning.(19:03:24) (PC)_Trent): "Pity. >_< " *attacks it with another lightning blast*(19:03:30) ChatBot: (PC)_Trent) rolls 1d20 and gets (3)+5=8.(19:03:41) ChatBot: ((GM)_Prysus) rolls 1d20 and gets (7)=7.(19:03:57) ((GM)_Prysus): %.(19:04:10) ChatBot: (PC)_Trent) rolls 1d100 and gets (91)=91.(19:05:45) ((GM)_Prysus): The robot receives a mere grazing blast from the lightning. Though it's not good enough to short out its systems the accumulated damage from everyone else is finally enough to finish it off (barely!).(19:05:54) ((GM)_Prysus): I'll roll % for everyone involved.(19:06:01) ((GM)_Prysus): Sky, Holiday, Aerial ...(19:06:04) ChatBot: ((GM)_Prysus) rolls 3d100 and gets (66,29,82)=177.(19:06:53) ((GM)_Prysus): And Trent, roll % as well please.(19:07:00) ChatBot: (PC)_Trent) rolls 1d100 and gets (91)=91.(19:07:07) (PC)_Trent): ((19:07:29) ((GM)_Prysus): ((I was checking to see if anyone had a Special Technique. Holiday is the closest. Trent is the furthest away.(19:08:05) ((GM)_Prysus): ((He must've just used one before entering the city or something.(19:08:23) (PC)_Trent): (that boss fight(19:09:00) ((GM)_Prysus): ((I meant building it up so he could use one. It takes time to recharge, effectively.))(19:10:05) ((GM)_Prysus): ((He had used a couple against the hundreds of Sand Raiders, where he got his second Special Technique ability, but there were some mini-battles in between which we fast forwarded through.))(19:10:48) (PC)_Trent): (Good point :-? )(19:11:19) (PC)_Trent): (yeah, must have used it in a random encounter just outside the city(19:13:41) ((GM)_Prysus): As the robot drones are defeated a siren in the city starts to sound. A voice over a city speaker sounds, "All citizens are advised to stay in doors. A group of dangerous criminals have been seen in the streets. I repeat, all citizens are advised to stay in doors for their own safety." The siren continues sounding. Holiday, "Sounds like we've worn out our welcome." Aerial, "Are ... we the criminals? I've never been a criminal before.(19:14:29) (PC)_Trent): "Hehehehehe..."(19:15:04) (PC)_Trent): "I wonder if we could repair the robots to use for nefarious purposes.... er... maybe not(19:16:49) ((GM)_Prysus): Sky, "No time. They'll likely be sending in reinforcements. Let's move!"(19:18:21) (PC)_Trent): "Okay."(19:18:42) (PC)_Trent): *follows Sky as they run through the city*(19:18:57) ((GM)_Prysus): And want to fast forward through most of the smaller battles?(19:19:05) (PC)_Trent): sure.(19:19:19) (PC)_Trent): will try to build up his special technique(19:25:53) ((GM)_Prysus): They continue to fight through a variety of robot styles. The robots are all controlled via remote (they have built in cameras), with just enough intelligence to follow their orders in a competent manner. Though there have been many battles they have finally made it to the edge of the city making their way for their vehicle. Before they can make it though suddenly a soldier leaps in front of them. He's weilding a sword with an Aqua Marine enhancement. He points his sword towards the group, "Hold it right there. In the name of the Chief Directorate, you will go no further." It's a voice Trent has heard in countless video games before, but that doesn't mean it's still not a good one. The fact it is in so many is a testament to that fact. More soldiers surround them, armed with various melee weapons. Their armor is varied, often fairly sparse across the body, especially the chest, with masks over the face. From the design, Trent would have to say they're designed for handling in water. These are the Aqua Marines.(19:29:44) (PC)_Trent): *looks to Sky in a 'what now?' expression*(19:35:51) ((GM)_Prysus): Sky stands up tall, her lowered towards the ground but still in a ready position.* "Out of our way. We don't know what we've done to warrant this assault, but we'll be happy to leave so you won't have to ever see us again." The head Aqua Marine (referred to as head because he spoke) gets into a defensive stance, "I'm sorry, I cannot allow that. The Chief Directorate has ordered your capture or your demise under suspicion of collusion. You can't take on all of us." Holiday looks around at the situation, and then responds (low for the group to hear but not responding to the others), "He's probably right you know." Despite his words, his entire attitude indicates he doesn't intend to be standing down or surrounding his weapons. Sky shifts her eyes at thet situation, then focuses back on the leader, "I think we can, but even if we can't tell me: How many of your men are you willing to sacrifice to see which one of us is right."(19:37:45) (PC)_Trent): *grins* oO(I like that line)(19:43:26) (PC)_Trent): "Mind if I ask one question?" *voice deferent*(19:43:46) (PC)_Trent): "Is the Chief Directorate in any way connected to Nanato?"(19:44:05) ((GM)_Prysus): Leader, "Put down your weapons and you can have all the questions you want."(19:46:38) (PC)_Trent): *waits to see their reaction to the name, if any*(19:46:44) ((GM)_Prysus): Leader, "No way would our Chief Directorate have connections with someone like Nanato. Now I have no thirst for blood, but we have our orders. Last chance to stand down." Sky answers, "I understand." She then gets into a fighting stance. The leader watches then responds, "I have my answer then. So be it."(19:47:23) ((GM)_Prysus): Initiative!(19:47:33) (PC)_Trent): oO(Well, that goes that theory)(19:47:44) ChatBot: (PC)_Trent) rolls 1d20 and gets (15)+1=16.(19:47:58) ((GM)_Prysus): Sky, Holiday, Aerial, Leader, Aqua Marines ...(19:48:00) ChatBot: ((GM)_Prysus) rolls 5d20 and gets (2,1,17,15,17)=52.(19:49:35) ((GM)_Prysus): And though there are many, I'll keep it more simple (for rolling purposes), Trent will be attacked by an Aqua Marine.(19:49:41) ChatBot: ((GM)_Prysus) rolls 1d20 and gets (19)+5=24.(19:50:21) (PC)_Trent): *attempts to dodge*(19:50:31) ChatBot: (PC)_Trent) rolls 1d20 and gets (4)+8=12.(19:50:49) ((GM)_Prysus): I'll type that scene when I roll for everyone else.(19:51:50) ((GM)_Prysus): Aqua Marines (attack), Holiday (defense), Aerial (defense), Aerial (attack), Holiday (attack), Leader and Sky (just one roll each because that's a bit more of a 1 on 1).(19:51:58) ChatBot: ((GM)_Prysus) rolls 7d20 and gets (6,18,6,14,20,12,20)=96.(19:52:21) ((GM)_Prysus): And I forgot the Aqua Marine defense.(19:52:23) ChatBot: ((GM)_Prysus) rolls 1d20 and gets (14)=14.(19:52:46) ((GM)_Prysus): Typing ...(19:59:29) ((GM)_Prysus): Trent is the first to be attack. They're fast! One of them gives an upward slash with a voulge (all weapons have the Aqua Marine enhancement). It cuts into Trent, and as he moves back from the impact a second one grabs him and slams him hard into the ground! They showed excellent teamwork together. Meanwhile the Leader moves directly for Sky. Cut off the head of the dragon and the body will fall as well. Sky quickly back flips out of the way of the slashing sword, her back practically kissing the blade as she does. She lands on her feet and pounces forward for the attack. Both blades clash. Aerial uses one of her herbs on an Aqua Marine, one that would put any ordinary foe out of it, but the Aqua Marine is simply able to shrug it off. Holiday meanwhile is able to unleash one of his Special Techniques doing a wide barrage of shots to several of the enemy, taking quite a few down with well placed shots through their armor.(19:59:30) ((GM)_Prysus): Sky dodges another attack, grabbing onto the Leader's hands to help pin them as she quickly moves around and slashes down his back. Another Aqua Marine attacks her in defense of their leader, but she manages to side step and Counter Strike, finishing off the Aqua Marine in one hit. ((Trent's move. Sorry, after I started typing I realized Trent had a high initiative and I forgot to give him his turn.))(19:59:58) ((GM)_Prysus): ((Note: Sky and Holiday both had Natural 20s for their rolls.))(20:01:06) (PC)_Trent): (it's okay.(20:02:24) (PC)_Trent): *scrambles back to his feet as soon as he can, and slashes into the Aquamarine that knocked him down, wary of the others covering.*(20:02:38) ChatBot: (PC)_Trent) rolls 1d20 and gets (6)+8=14.(20:02:43) ((GM)_Prysus): Aqua Marine defense ...(20:02:50) ChatBot: ((GM)_Prysus) rolls 1d20 and gets (11)+5=16.(20:03:59) ((GM)_Prysus): The Aqua Marine is able to lift move his weapon quick enough to parry the attack of Trent. With the parry he swings his weapon around and tries to use the momentum to cut into Trent instead.(20:04:03) ChatBot: ((GM)_Prysus) rolls 1d20 and gets (13)+5=18.(20:04:36) (PC)_Trent): *attempts to parry*(20:04:45) ChatBot: (PC)_Trent) rolls 1d20 and gets (3)+11=14.(20:05:22) ((GM)_Prysus): Trent receives another hit. They're good as individuals, and to make matters worse they have numbers to back them up. Trent's move (then I'll do the others in bulk again).(20:06:16) (PC)_Trent): (enough for special technique? or no?)(20:06:52) ((GM)_Prysus): ((Doubtful. Holiday had the lowest amount to go earlier due to rolls, also he rolled a Natural 20.))(20:07:02) ((GM)_Prysus): Though ...(20:07:08) ((GM)_Prysus): Meh, I'm nice. I'll let you roll %.(20:07:15) ChatBot: (PC)_Trent) rolls 1d100 and gets (80)=80.(20:07:28) ((GM)_Prysus): No Special Technique currently available.(20:07:53) (PC)_Trent): *attacks again*(20:07:59) ChatBot: (PC)_Trent) rolls 1d20 and gets (18)+8=26.(20:08:07) ((GM)_Prysus): Defense ...(20:08:12) ChatBot: ((GM)_Prysus) rolls 1d20 and gets (1)=1.(20:11:10) ((GM)_Prysus): Hmm ... let me do the bulk roll before I type.(20:11:14) ChatBot: ((GM)_Prysus) rolls 7d20 and gets (1,6,19,4,12,1,20)=63.(20:11:26) ChatBot: ((GM)_Prysus) rolls 1d20 and gets (4)=4.(20:12:29) ((GM)_Prysus): Okay, this is going to take lots of typing.(20:25:10) ((GM)_Prysus): Trent moves in for the hit. The Aqua Marine isn't able to recover in time as Trent's cut slices clean into him. In the next instant the Aqua Marine turns into water and splashes down to the ground (remember, bodies don't get left behind and there is always a creative way to handle the body count, this is the Aqua Marine way). Aerial shifts into Healing mode to help Trent regain some of his health. Holiday fires off another few shots from his guns taking out another of the Aqua Marines.(20:25:33) ((GM)_Prysus): Meanwhile the battle between Sky and the Leader is starting to heat up as another Aqua Marine has entered into the fray so now she's fighting two on one. She parries one, then the other, moves with a weave between them and turns to parry both at the same time. With a spin of her blade she knocks both of theirs towards the air (not out of their hands, just so that their blades are up and not able to defend). It's followed up by a quick slash into the leader, then she goes to attack the other. However, the other Aqua Marine is able to defend in time and the leader quickly attacks to try and get her back, but her speed is just too much as she moves out of the way. Trent attacks another, and is able to slash into that one as well. The sword of the Aqua Marine flies out of his hands as Trent cuts into him landing directly into another.(20:25:36) ((GM)_Prysus): Sky ducks from another attack, then stabs her sword upward and into the chest of the Aqua Marine. With speed and agility she hefts herself up with the sword and does a double kick into the skewed Aqua Marine and does a flip that ends in a slash to the Leader who is hit and falls back towards the floor. Sky stands over him, "Face it, you're outclassed." The Leader gets up in a rather fanciful spin that lands him on his feet mixed with a twirl of the blade. The Leader tells her, "You're good, I'll give you that, but this fight isn't over yet. The Aqua Marines are more than just soldiers, we're the heart of this city. You cannot defeat an entire city by yourselves."(20:28:03) (PC)_Trent): "Why is a city after us? We were just here to find some information, and then everyone started treating us like criminals."(20:28:49) ((GM)_Prysus): And one will attack Trent (then Trent's move) ...(20:28:52) ChatBot: ((GM)_Prysus) rolls 1d20 and gets (2)+5=7.(20:30:08) (PC)_Trent): *does a rolling strike technique, dodging out of the way and coming up with an upercut slice*(20:30:13) ChatBot: (PC)_Trent) rolls 1d20 and gets (9)+8=17.(20:30:16) ChatBot: (PC)_Trent) rolls 1d20 and gets (18)+11=29.(20:30:40) ((GM)_Prysus): His strike is +11?(20:31:01) (PC)_Trent): (oops!)(20:31:15) (PC)_Trent): (should be +8, was thinking parry for some odd reason >_< )(20:31:15) ((GM)_Prysus): Not a big deal, I was just checking. The roll itself stands.(20:31:55) ((GM)_Prysus): And okay, since Aerial won't be attacking, I'll place her old Strike roll as the new Aqua Marine defense roll.(20:32:29) ((GM)_Prysus): Errr ... let me just retype it. Aqua Marines (attack), Aerial (defense), Holiday (defense), Holiday (attack), Aqua Marine (defense), Leader, Sky ...(20:32:37) ChatBot: ((GM)_Prysus) rolls 7d20 and gets (18,8,12,14,9,13,6)=80.(20:33:41) ((GM)_Prysus): Typing ...(20:39:17) ((GM)_Prysus): One of the Aqua Marines attacks Trent with a downward slash. Trent is able to roll off to the side. As he comes out of the roll his sword swipes upward in one continuous motion cutting right into the Aqua Marine. Aerial goes to fly out of the way of another attack when one of them leaps up and tackles her to the ground with an attack to her wing. It looks like her wing may be damaged. That can make it difficult for her to dodge (her greatest dodge bonuses are due to flight, if she can't fly her dodge decreases considerably). Another attacks Holiday who moves back, right as another slashes at him in the back, flanking him and cutting out his retreat. Holiday takes the hit, but fires off a shot at the one in front of him quickly putting that one down, then moves away from the other trying to get space.(20:39:21) ((GM)_Prysus): Sky goes in for the attack, but the Leader is able to side step it. He comes up with a kick to the jaw of Sky who starts to fall back. She is able to right herself by putting a hand down and flipping to her feet, but by the time she does the Leader is already on her and comes in with a slash to the gut. The Leader comes in for another attack, but Sky is able to put her sword up for this one and parry it, but it's clear she's struggling, "Damn, he's gotten a lot faster and stronger."(20:39:58) ((GM)_Prysus): Attack on Trent ...(20:40:01) ChatBot: ((GM)_Prysus) rolls 1d20 and gets (19)+5=24.(20:40:49) (PC)_Trent): *attempts to parry*(20:40:51) ChatBot: (PC)_Trent) rolls 1d20 and gets (9)=9.(20:42:19) (PC)_Trent): *takes the hit and attempts an electric blast at his opponent, while moving closer to Aerial to attempt to cover her.*(20:42:26) ChatBot: (PC)_Trent) rolls 1d20 and gets (3)+5=8.(20:42:41) ChatBot: ((GM)_Prysus) rolls 1d20 and gets (3)+5=8.(20:43:55) ((GM)_Prysus): Trent tries to parry, but as he tries he receives a piercing pain in his sword shoulder as a different Aqua Marine stabs him in it, then the other connects as well! As Trent moves it is close, but the lightning attacks are hard to dodge. He's fast, but the lightning is faster as the Aqua Marine is struck down by it.(20:43:58) ChatBot: ((GM)_Prysus) rolls 7d20 and gets (11,19,11,7,20,14,12)=94.(20:44:25) ((GM)_Prysus): Typing ...(20:51:21) ((GM)_Prysus): More of the Aqua Marines attempt to swarm on Aerial, but she is quickly able to fly up. Though her wing is injured, it seems she's able to hold through well enough to get some lift off and uses a healing herb on herself. Another tries to attack Holiday, but he's able to narrowly move out of the way. He goes to fire and take out his opponent, but the Aqua Marine quickly moves his sword and parries the barrel of Holiday's gun into the air! The shots fire off harmlessly as the Aqua Marine turns it into a Counter Strike, slashing into the chest of Holiday twice.(20:51:22) ((GM)_Prysus): Sky and the Leader continue to fight. Their swords clash. The Leader swipes for her head which she quickly dodges. She tries to retaliate and slash across his chest, but he gets his sword in the way and the two clash. Their blades unlock and both go in for another attack. Both hit! The swords cut into their opponent at the same moment. The force of the attacks cause both to start to fall back. As the Leader falls back he manages to get a kick in on Sky before she is quite out of range. The Leader lands on his feet, while for the first time Sky lands in a crouched position. She wips off a trail of blood from her mouth. Both quickly dash in for another attack as their blades lock up again. Sky spins and goes for another attack. The Leader is able to parry as their blades clash together yet again.(20:54:47) ((GM)_Prysus): And okay, we can wrap it up. Typing ...(20:59:48) ((GM)_Prysus): The fight among the group continues. Holiday looks around, "More are coming. This can be bad." Aerial, "Maybe it's not too late to turn ourselves in." Holiday, "Not going to happen. They're the ones who started this, I'm not about to trust them now." Aerial, "If they wanted to kill us they can. There is still a chance to end this before more are hurt." Sky moves back to their sides, "They're tough, not unbeatable. We're not done yet." She still sounnds confident. However, their situation is growing more dire. The Aqua Marines are encircling the position cutting off retreat, closing them into a cornered in circle at the center surrounded by enemies. Suddenly a large wall of fire streaks down the path and surrounds the group!(21:02:25) ((GM)_Prysus): The circle of fire starts to expand and opens up a path towards the city exit. As the path opens it would push back anyone who wishes not to get burned leaving them a clear exit. At the end is a figure that they cannot make out from the distant. The figure calls out, "Hurry! If you wish to live, run now!"(21:03:21) ((GM)_Prysus): ((Image: Streak of fire then circle ------O. Then it opened up into a path more like: ==========O allowing a narrow path for them to move.))(21:03:25) (PC)_Trent): *bolts for the exit*(21:06:52) ((GM)_Prysus): The others start to go as well. As they do the Leader of the Aqua Marines bursts through the flames. "You're not getting away that easy!" Sky stops and guards their retreat. She tells the Leader, "You're good, but right now you're all alone. You're no match for all of us." Leader hesitates as he thinks about it, "This isn't over." His giving in isn't a matter of fear, but due to knowledge of his situation and knowing that Sky is right. Sky looks at him, "No, I imagine that it isn't." She then turns and runs to catch up to the group.(21:09:22) ((GM)_Prysus): At the end of the path of fire they find a very old fox with a scar over his left eye forcing it closed from the old wound. The fox has white fur, but there are a few fading red streaks in it. Perhaps even more fascinating is the fact he has two tails.(21:11:09) (PC)_Trent): *finds that rather ominous*(21:13:19) ((GM)_Prysus): And I'll suggest rolling a D20.(21:13:26) ((GM)_Prysus): Sky, Holiday, Aerial ...(21:13:29) ChatBot: ((GM)_Prysus) rolls 3d20 and gets (17,19,12)=48.(21:15:24) ChatBot: (PC)_Trent) rolls 1d20 and gets (5)=5.(21:17:53) ((GM)_Prysus): Holiday mutters, "His 'red hair has gone all white by now.'" Sky, "Nanato?" Fox, "I heard you were looking for me. Let's hurry and get out of here. I won't be able to keep that up for long now that I've lost the Fire Stone."(21:18:46) (PC)_Trent): *follows* "We can talk as soon as we get to... um... wherever it is we're going."(21:19:11) ((GM)_Prysus): Nanato, "I know a place, follow me."(21:23:52) ((GM)_Prysus): They follow Nanato and soon end up in a junkyard.(21:24:03) (PC)_Trent): =p~(21:24:17) (PC)_Trent): "Spare parts...(21:25:06) ((GM)_Prysus): There are various pieces of debris spread about, none of it very useful. Some of it may be able to be used for their vehicle, if they can clean off the rust from the junk (spare) parts.(21:26:06) ((GM)_Prysus): Nanato, "After I left the Great City I've managed to make this place my home. They have yet to find me here. We should be safe."(21:26:42) ((GM)_Prysus): He continues walking, guiding them, likely to some place they can sit down and talk away from outside view. As they walk, something catches Trent's eye.(21:26:55) (PC)_Trent): oO(At least until he finishes his story, then odds are we'll be attacked once he's done talking)(21:27:03) (PC)_Trent): "For now." *relaxes*(21:27:11) ((GM)_Prysus): It looks like a face. Someone is hiding in one of the junk piles!(21:27:14) (PC)_Trent): *looks*(21:27:37) (PC)_Trent): "Huh?(21:32:41) ((GM)_Prysus): When he gets closer he sees the face is cracked. He starts to clear away some of the debris and it shatters completely falling away. It was just a mask. Beneath the mask though is something else, the head of a robot! It's not some spy, but an old broken down robot that has been deactivated and discarded. As he clears away more of the debris it looks like it may still be intact, at least enough to be repaired. The frame suggests it may have once donned a Terran type of outer skin that has since broken away. All that is left is the robotic frame. Its head looks plain without any specific features, but the place for a nose and eyes can still be recognized (imagine a person wearing a tight piece of cloth on their face so you can see the shape, but not the features).(21:34:14) (PC)_Trent): "Awww... poor little android left out here and discarded."(21:34:26) (PC)_Trent): "Don't worry. I can fix you.(21:37:15) (PC)_Trent): *digs it out carefully and looks for fallen/dislodged pieces in the debris.*(21:37:28) (PC)_Trent): *and makes sure it doesnt fall on him*(21:38:12) ((GM)_Prysus): Sky, "All right, if you want to fix it I'll help you carry it, but we need to keep moving for now. We don't know if they'll have any patrols looking for us."(21:38:40) (PC)_Trent):(21:39:09) (PC)_Trent): oO(Not only indulging me with what most would count as my folly, but actually helping out too!) *looks genuinely warmed by the gesture.*(21:40:45) ((GM)_Prysus): ((Game Options: 1) Slap Trent upside the head and drag him off. 2) Offer to help him carry it. 3) Ditch Trent. 4) Destroy the robot and end the debate once and for all.(21:41:09) (PC)_Trent): ( teehee. Admit, most would do 1) =)) )(21:41:31) (PC)_Trent): (or else 5) ignore him and let him struggle with it on his own(21:41:46) ((GM)_Prysus): ((LOL! Yes. And I'm mostly joking, but I thought they were cute suggestions.))(21:41:58) (PC)_Trent): (*nods* they were. I'm amused(21:42:21) ((GM)_Prysus): ((I think 5 falls into 3.(21:42:32) (PC)_Trent): ( LOL )(21:44:18) ((GM)_Prysus): They eventually get shown to a shack that is hidden underneath a pile of debris that hangs over the entrance (when I say "hangs over" it is more like a canopy than blocking the doorway. It would be harder to spot from the air, and we do know there are flying robots).(21:45:06) (PC)_Trent): *brings the android inside.*(21:53:55) ((GM)_Prysus): The inside of the shack is a bit cluttered. Nanato clears a space for them to place the broken robot. There are pieces of junk everywhere inside. Around the place are several hobbled together devices. They are primitive in design, but show signs of a talented amateur, and under the conditions impressive. It has power and plumbing for convenience. The place is not very big, clearly set for one. One would guess he has not had company for a very long time. There is a bed with a quilt sewn together from several different pieces.(21:56:16) (PC)_Trent): oO(Down neat freak. Suppress the urge to *twitch* clean. You have a shiney shiney new toy to destract you. Yeeees... concentrate on repairing the poor android.)(21:56:40) (PC)_Trent): (and good place to call it?(21:57:48) ((GM)_Prysus): For note: When I said "junk" I meant more miscellaneous pieces (kind of like at a workshop of some type). But they are scattered all over the palce all the same.(21:57:57) (PC)_Trent): (right)(21:58:43) ((GM)_Prysus): Just wanted to be sure. I didn't want you thinking Bachelor pad who has pizza boxes a month old and clothes everywhere type of junk.(21:59:10) ((GM)_Prysus): And sure, good place to call it.(21:59:42) (PC)_Trent): thanks for running! *hugs*(21:59:48) (PC)_Trent): (though yes, I thought of that too(21:59:50) ((GM)_Prysus): Thanks for playing. *Hugs.*(22:00:22) ((GM)_Prysus): Yeah, his "junk" would be more like pieces of a former project or pieces for something that may one day become a project. |
