(17:49:49) ((GM)_Prysus): And okay, ready?

(17:50:02) (PC)_Trent): ready

(17:52:00) ((GM)_Prysus): Oh! Wait! I was going to skip ahead to the reunion with Nanato, but I've changed my mind!

(17:52:05) ((GM)_Prysus): Typing ...

(18:01:42) ((GM)_Prysus): After taking the center tower and the Jarn Chief Directorate, they have managed to resolve most matters, at least for the time being. Right now alliances are on shakey ground, and its stability rests upon their success in defeating Beta. Of course, if they prove they aren't up to the challenge then the alliance between the Great City and Dolphin Free States are the least of the world's troubles. Upon Sky's request, they have been escorted by the Jarn to the science lab. Several men and women in lab coats move about. Out of the scientists here, a tanuki (a.k.a. raccoon dog) approaches. This is the place where Beta was created. Since Beta has gone rogue it has dedicated its efforts into finding a way to stop him. It is in this place Sky will be granted the Psi-Smasher Upgrade for her sword. That isn't why they're really here though. The upgrade could have easily been brought up to the office of the Chief Directorate, but Sky wanted to see this place. This is where it all started, and she just had to see it for herself.

(18:03:24) (PC)_Trent): *looks around with interest.* oO(In real life I would sooo be using my powers on this machinery. Wait... Jarn influenced tech. >_< That would be bad.)

(18:08:08) ((GM)_Prysus): As they are escorted around by the tanuki, Head Scientist of the facility, Holiday asks, "The tales of Beta's original body was said to be completely destroyed in the battle. Even so, that was before most of us were born. How did you manage to get a sample for your clone?"

A. F. Lee, the tanuki as read by his name tag (though his name tag actually has his last name Lee first) responds, "Yes, that was quite difficult. That is, until we managed to obtain this ..."

(18:13:04) ((GM)_Prysus): Lee presses a few buttons and a panel opens. In a case that is set up to perfectly preserve the item is a sword. Mere sight of the item lets Trent know exactly what it is. Beta is the clone of one of the more popular villains from a previous Final Enclave game. In that game Beta was defeated by a hero using a sword as well. That is the sword that landed the finishing blow on the original.

(18:14:23) (PC)_Trent): "That's... the Zion Blade! "

(18:14:26) ((GM)_Prysus): Roll a D20.

(18:14:39) ChatBot: (PC)_Trent) rolls 1d20 and gets (7)=7.

(18:15:29) (PC)_Trent): "It stabbed the original Beta... it would have his blood on it!" *stares at the sword in reverence*

(18:15:39) ChatBot: ((GM)_Prysus) rolls 3d20 and gets (1,9,1)=11.

(18:23:06) ((GM)_Prysus): The sword suddenly starts to pulse and an energy. Lee, "What's going on?!" The glass around the case shatters suddenly and the sword goes flying out of its case! It spins in the air right towards the group. Aerial is more ready to move and dodge while Holiday readies his guns ready to fight. Trent however notices there doesn't seem to be any true danger from it. The sword drives itself into the ground right in front of Sky's feet (kind of a 'Sword in the Stone' type of look). The hero who defeated the original was a psychic, and the sword was a massive psi-amplifier. Or, perhaps, the sword was psychic in its own right. It now seems to be responding to Sky.

(18:24:18) (PC)_Trent): L "Sooo... awsome..." *high pitched fan boy voice*

(18:35:34) ((GM)_Prysus): Sky takes it in her hand, and the slowly draws it up from the ground. Trent sees the image of Sky holding the Zion Blade, something many fans have dreamed about and even drawn pictures of. It seems that in one of the newer updates (like Evrym2), such a possibility has been added. Lee shouts out, "You shouldn't be touching that! You have to put that back!" He sounds like a scared lab tech who is watching someone mess with one of his experiments.

Sky gives him a look, "This sword ... it's coming with us."

Lee, "You can't! It's not ..."

Holiday, "Do you intend to try and stop us yourself?"

Lee gulps in a frightened manner, and then the Jarn interrupts. "It is okay. The Zion Blade has made its choice. They are going to correct our mistake."

Lee groans unhappily. It's not about them having the sword, or that they're going to stop Beta, but it's an item in his lab, and something he wished heavily to still learn from.

(18:45:01) (PC)_Trent): *grins at Lee.* "Hey, don't worry, after we stop Beta maybe you can dissect his corpse and learn from that. "

(18:45:08) (PC)_Trent): "What's left of it." *thoughtfully*

(18:48:20) ((GM)_Prysus): Holiday, "That sword can come in handy for defeating Beta."

Sky, "Yes, it would."

Holiday, "Would?"

Sky, "We're not keeping it. We're just taking where it wants to go." There is a questioning look. Sky adds, "It wants to go home. It was resting with its master when they found it. Now it's going back."

Evrym2, "I must inform you that is strategically unwise. It would be far more practical to defeat Beta first, and then return it."

Sky, "This isn't about being practical." *She pauses for a moment, and looks directly at Evrym2.* "If you were taken from Trent and Aerial, how would you feel?"

Evrym2, "I believe I understand."

Aerial smiles, happy at the overall decision and feel. Though Holiday is the least happy about the decision, thinking it foolish. As for Trent, though there were no prompts as a character in the game, he can sense that this was a player decision. The player had a choice, and the player decided to do the right thing for the Zion Sword, even if it does make it a little harder on them.

(18:49:40) (PC)_Trent): "I hadn't thought about that. Still... the sword chose you, it must trust your judgment."

(18:50:18) (PC)_Trent): "And you having the sword is still an awsome image."

(18:52:00) ((GM)_Prysus): Holiday, "You're easily pleased, aren't you?"

(18:53:21) (PC)_Trent): *looks at him for a moment, then bursts out laughing at the comment, he can't help himself, he finds it hilarious. After 45 straight seconds of laughing catches his breath and sighs.* "Sorry, I just thought that was really funny. "

(18:53:52) (PC)_Trent): "Before... I joined you... I was considered rather... um... dark and broody."

(18:55:19) ((GM)_Prysus): Aerial, "Well, we like you the way you are. "

(18:57:39) (PC)_Trent):

(18:58:01) (PC)_Trent): oO(They... like me. My heroes like me. )

(18:58:48) (PC)_Trent): "I can't help it. I'm around... heh, if you hadn't guessed by now... Sky is my hero." *blushes* "This is actually awsome. "

(19:00:02) (PC)_Trent): "Stuff I've always dreamed about doing and I'm in the thick of it. "

(19:00:49) ((GM)_Prysus): Holiday, "You dream about killing people?" Aerial, "I think he means seeing the world."

(19:04:05) (PC)_Trent): "Neither, actually.... ... " *hesitates* "Being with people I admire, doing something I believe in, being appreciated for it... and finding out my heroes are still people I respect, those I travel with don't hate me... " *shrugs* "It's a good feeling. "

(19:05:23) (PC)_Trent): oO(But saying it like that... what is the difference between that and real life? >_< I felt unappreciated? Noria tried, at least, though I didn't realize it until I blew up on her... maybe it's the 'those I travel with don't hate me' part. Yes. Must be <_< >_> )

(19:05:54) ((GM)_Prysus): Sky, "I'm glad you're happy." *She's still holding the Zion Blade.*

(19:06:10) (PC)_Trent):

(19:07:41) (PC)_Trent): "So, where to now? "

(19:12:08) ((GM)_Prysus): Sky, "We should head back to Nanato. We still need to get the other Stone. After that, we head back to where this all really began." *Referring to the Zion Blade.* ((And we can skip ahead and fast forward as much as player would like. There probably aren't any big major actions left in this story arc. Though I do have some bigger plans for returning the Zion Blade.))

(19:12:32) (PC)_Trent): will go to the meeting with Nanato.

(19:16:22) ((GM)_Prysus): Upon returning to the home of Nanato they also find Gil Lowtide (dolphin).

(19:17:35) (PC)_Trent): *is grinning like a fan boy still, quite happy.*

(19:18:08) (PC)_Trent): *lets the others make the introductions, and is curious if Gil will join them or if he has to be convinced/persuaded.*

(19:18:36) ((GM)_Prysus): ((Sum up or role-play the entire way?))

(19:19:07) (PC)_Trent): :-? We can sum up. Though Trent will ask questions if it's not touched on in sum up, and those can be RPed

(19:25:16) ((GM)_Prysus): Well, Gil Lowtide has the Water Stone (I think I let that slip earlier on accident, though earlier it was never specified which one). He is granting it to Sky, as per the deal (for their help with the Great City). The Water Stone has been a great tool for his people throughout the years, but if it can save his people from further destruction then it is of greater use to Sky and group. To help ensure his home remains safe (from further pollution as well as eventual destruction) he will be joining along as well. Sky lets him keep the stone, and after they defeat Beta she will gladly let Gil keep the Water Stone and return it to his people. ((Quickie sum up. Nothing very flavoral, just the basics.))

(19:26:56) (PC)_Trent): *to Nanato* "Your... assistant, the woman's voice with computer access... helped us out back there."

(19:40:53) ((GM)_Prysus): Nanato, "Ah Delphi ..." *She sounds as if thinking back on it fondly (not the same as with grandmother, which was more of a relationship, but as with thinking back on your old adventuring party with memories of all the things they've been through together). * "It has been a long time."

Gil, "I asked her to help you as much as she could."

Nanato, "I knew Delphi when we were both much younger. She is a member of the Dolphin Free States. Every 10 years they send one of their people to travel the world and see what has changed so they may stay informed even below the waters. That is how I first met her. We had quite the adventures. Our last was here in the Great City."

(19:45:03) (PC)_Trent): "She did help us. I recognized her from...um... your description "

(19:45:11) (PC)_Trent): oO(Can't say voice >_< )

(19:45:39) (PC)_Trent): oO(I dislike hiding from them... but... it's not something the game would really be equipped to deal with.)

(19:49:16) (PC)_Trent): (though I can't think of any other questions, was just going to ask about her and make sure Gil joined them. )

(19:49:52) ((GM)_Prysus): ((That's fine. You should have fun too. So I'm happy to give as much time as you'd like. ))

(19:50:36) (PC)_Trent): (that's fine. I think I'm done.

(19:50:44) (PC)_Trent): (We can move onto the next )

(20:02:45) ((GM)_Prysus): The group travels to the site of the final battle in the previous game. In that game the main villain (Beta's original incarnation) was in the midst of destroying the city when confronted by the group of heroes. Now, they get to see the aftermath. The city is a hollow shell. Buildings still remain, but there is no life. It remains abandoned, a place where few dare ever set foot again. Plants no longer grow, and the trees are nothing more than dead trunks that appear distorted into twisted and disturbing images. Those that look closely can almost swear they see the faces of people in the patterns of the bark. Dark clouds still loom overhead, as if forever marking this land from that fateful day. Since leaving the city Sky has perfected a Dual Sword fighting style. This is not the same as a Special Technique, which is limited, but actually an addition to her fighting style. She has used her sword with the Zion Blade in conjunction.

(20:05:56) (PC)_Trent): *looks around him, remembering it clearly in some ways, and seeing it for the first time in so many other ways.*

(20:06:18) ((GM)_Prysus): Cut scene!

(20:20:46) ((GM)_Prysus): The footage is colored, but faded making it look almost black and white at a quick glance. It's similar to the feel of the flashback when Nanato told his story with being able to see what's going on and yet not being there, but this one is definitely different in its feel as well. People are running, scared. They are running for their lives. Flames rip through the streets consuming people as they run. A woman holding a small baby is running as the flames are rapidlyg gaining on her. She clutches the child closer to her chest as if to somehow protect the baby, though logic would suggest both will be engulfed in the flames. As they flames reach the pair her scream can be hearde echoing loudly!

(20:21:04) ((GM)_Prysus): The scene shows her kneeling on the floor, the infant still clutched in her arms, but she is unburned by the flames. Standing behind her is the hero from the previous game, protecting her and the child using his sword as a shield. The flames eventually die down. From the way he looks around and reacts, he clearly has taken a view of all those he couldn't save in time. His anguish is clear as a result. It was this street, the street they are walking down right now, this very spot. This is where it happened. The scene shifts back to the present. Trent is clutching his head. This wasn't a random cut scene. He actually saw it all, or perhaps more accurately Lester Remington did. Lester is a psychic, and it seems that this place has some echo for him.

(20:23:07) (PC)_Trent): (was the woman human? out of curiosity?)

(20:23:41) ((GM)_Prysus): ((Yes, though humans are a common sight in this game. But yes. ))

(20:25:01) (PC)_Trent): "Ressonance... " *shakes his head to clear it.* "Clairvoyance." *describes what he saw*

(20:25:38) (PC)_Trent): *looks at the sword.* "I wonder.. if the Zion Blade remembers it as well."

(20:27:33) ((GM)_Prysus): Sky, "I believe so. I don't see any images but ... I can feel its pain. There are a lot of bad memories in this place for it."

(20:30:25) (PC)_Trent): *nods* "I can see them... the memories. Some of them. It's like... I know this place."

(20:32:05) ((GM)_Prysus): Aerial looks sullen being in this place. A place where such evil happened, it hurts for her to just be in such a place.

(20:34:00) ((GM)_Prysus): Sky, "There is a good reason this place has remained abandoned. This is something I have to do, all of you don't have to come with me if you don't want. It may be better for you to wait outside the city for me."

(20:35:18) (PC)_Trent): "I wouldn't miss it for the world. My universe.... ... maybe, but that's about it."

(20:37:35) ((GM)_Prysus): *Aerial shakes her head no.* "We don't just leave our friends, no matter where they may walk in this life."

(20:39:13) (PC)_Trent):

(20:39:30) (PC)_Trent): *looks rather teary eyed at that.*

(20:41:08) ((GM)_Prysus): They continue forward until they reach a part of the street that's been blocked off with debris. Their direction is chosen by the sword, because none knows better where to go than it. Sky looks around the area, "We may be able to find a way through this building."

(20:42:45) (PC)_Trent): *looks around for a way in.*

(20:43:00) (PC)_Trent): "This place... ... actually reminds me of home >_< "

(20:54:59) ((GM)_Prysus): Sky turns off to the side and through a still open door. After all these years it creaks as she opens it. There is dust and bits of debris on the floor from cracked and partially collapsed ceiling, a beam from above dug into the ground and smashed against the wall. They move to the side some cob webs and head through what looks like it was once a living room and passed a flight of stairs going up. The narrow hallway seems to lead to a back porch, and to the right is a kitchen. From the set up it looks like whatever happened the people who once lived here were having a meal. There is a baby's chair knocked to the ground. Suddenly in front of them appears a semi-transparent ghost-like image. It's a male, "I had hoped you'd have a more peaceful life. I'm sorry I couldn't be there for you more." The image disappears.

(20:55:01) ((GM)_Prysus): It switches into a cut scene with similar coloring to last time. The man they just saw is holding the small baby from the previous scene. He hands the infant over to the woman and kisses her good-bye. She pleads with him to go with her. With pain in his voice, "I can't. My powers can help slow the destruction. I don't know how long I can hold it, but ... if I don't none of us will ever make it out of here. Take him. Keep our son safe."

She kisses him, and rests her head against his chest for a moment. "I love you."

He holds her in his arms for a moment. "Go now, while there is still time." There are tears in both of their eyes.

(20:57:47) (PC)_Trent): "It's... ... It is home! "

(20:58:37) (PC)_Trent): oO(My father... he... used his powers to save my mother and try to save the world. So did Lester's father. We have that connection.)

(20:58:53) (PC)_Trent): *tells what he saw, his voice full of awe.*

(20:59:52) (PC)_Trent): *starts going around the house, kneeling by the old baby chair and setting it upright (if the game allows)*

(21:03:57) ((GM)_Prysus): He can set the chair up. As he does he can hear the sounds of his mother, "Here comes the little race car. Vroom! Vroom!" It is followed by the sounds of a young child laughing/gurgling in joy. ((Scene of mother feeding a baby.))

(21:07:10) ((GM)_Prysus): *Aerial gives Trent a hug.* "Are you okay?" *She sounds worried about him.*

(21:08:00) (PC)_Trent): *returns the hug* "Just... memories."

(21:08:35) ((GM)_Prysus): Aerial, "Just remember your friends are here with you."

(21:09:05) (PC)_Trent): "Things I lost... things I never had... " *smiles at her.* "Thank you. That does mean a lot, to not be alone."

(21:09:41) (PC)_Trent): *swallows a lump in his throat at the memory/sound/scene, and slowly goes throughout the house. Goes upstairs and pauses inside his/lester's room, looking around., feeling reassured that he has his friends with him.*

(21:16:36) ((GM)_Prysus): Lester's Room: It is a room with a crib in it, a crib mobile hanging over it. There are various toys in the room. There is a scene that shows the mother and father looking down at the baby in the crib. The mobile turns and plays a gentle melody as the baby is playing with a toy wrench. Father, "Look, I think he's going to be a mechanic one day." Mother, "Heh, you just want him to take up after you." Father, "No, just look at him. He's always playing with some type of tools." Mother, "I have looked at him, and I just see a beautiful angel. He's going to be such a heart breaker." Father, "That's because he takes after his mother."

(21:19:08) (PC)_Trent): *describes the scene to Aerial.* "I know... wherever they are, they're proud... still... seeing these scenes is hitting a place in my heart that I don't think gets much use."

(21:21:02) ((GM)_Prysus): ((For note: His mother was still alive in the first game. ))

(21:21:36) (PC)_Trent): (He was actually meaning Trent's parents. )

(21:22:02) ((GM)_Prysus): ((Teehee. I was just making sure. But yeah, I didn't quite realize. That's cool. ))

(21:22:30) (PC)_Trent): ( no problem. He did leave it as ambigious )

(21:23:21) ((GM)_Prysus): Aerial, "I'm sure they are too. There's a lot to be proud of. "

(21:27:07) (PC)_Trent): "You're a good friend, Aerial. Thank you for being so supportive."

(21:30:20) ((GM)_Prysus): Aerial, "We're about to go through some very hard times. If we weren't there for each other I don't think any of us would make it."

(21:31:01) (PC)_Trent): "I'm glad I have good friends to watch my back I'll try my best not to let you guys down either." *heads into his parents room*

(21:41:33) ((GM)_Prysus): There is a scene of baby Lester on the bed with his father behind him. The father has his hands wrapped around Lester's hands as the baby plays with a toy steering wheel. The father makes car noises, with wheel screeches includes for hard turns. Young Lester's hands pound against the wheel in a playful manner of a baby without much control. His hands hit against the toy horn. The mother comes into the room, "There my two men are. " Father, "We were just waiting for you here, mommy." ((No, not his mommy, but one of those things that are sometimes said when the baby is there.))

(21:41:36) ((GM)_Prysus): Young Lester holds out his hands out for the mother. Mom, "Up? You want to go up?" She picks him up in her arms and lifts him up over her head for a moment. Then she lowers him and gives him a kiss, carrying him letting his weight rest against her chest. The father suddenly honks the toy horn and pretends like he's driving passed. Father, "Hey there beautiful. Need a lift?" Mother, "Oh I'm sorry, but I'm married." Father, "Oh, well he must be quite the lucky man." Mother, "Not as lucky as I am." *She kisses him. Young Lester tries to get in on the action and puts a slobbering, drooling kiss on the dad's lower jaw. The two parents laugh and sit on the bed playing with him.

(21:42:54) (PC)_Trent): (Awwwww. )

(21:44:17) (PC)_Trent): *tenses, and swallows hard* oO(Lesters memories. But... ... those scenes could have happened, if it wasn't for Black Shell. >_< I not only lost, I never got those memories in the first place.)

(21:45:47) (PC)_Trent): oO(Though...I was happy, when I was a child. I have to hold onto that. And my family is together now. That's the important thing. The past can't be changed... but maybe the present?) *is clearly lost in his own thoughts as he appears to stare into space, even after the memory/image fades*

(21:51:24) ((GM)_Prysus): And Aerial stays close-by for comfort. Sky is there is well (main character, so tends to be there for that reason), though Evrym2 and Holiday went to try and find a clear path in the meantime.

(21:52:24) ((GM)_Prysus): ((And I don't have any plans for more scenes, though if you have another room in mind I can try to think of one. ))

(21:53:27) (PC)_Trent): *tries out the kitchen*

(22:12:32) ((GM)_Prysus): Some of the cabinent doors are hanging off the hinges. There is a spill of sugar on the counter that is concealed by the years of dust. It's been a long time since anyone has ever been in this place. Lester was but an infant when it was last used, and he is one of the oldest characters of the entire group. Cut scene (same coloring as all of Lester's flashbacks): His mother is cooking. Baby Lester is strapped into a chair (because it's dangerous to let a kid run free with fire and knives and other kitchen hazards around). He's crying. She stops cooking and goes over to him. Rocking him soothingly in her arms she speaks softly, "There, there. It's okay. Mommy is here. There's nothing to cry about." Lester continues crying. Mother, "I know, you're upset because your daddy is gone. Don't worry, he's just at work. He'll be home soon. He would never leave us."

(22:12:34) ((GM)_Prysus): She starts to sing him a song. It's not a perfect singing voice. She doesn't have the voice of an angel. Her voice is that of a mother, and that may make it all the more beautiful. Lester calms down and drifts off to sleep in her arms.

(22:13:34) (PC)_Trent): oO(He didn't come back... did he?)

(22:13:47) (PC)_Trent): oO(Not really.)

(22:14:17) (PC)_Trent): *turns to the group* "I think I've seen what I came to see. <_< >_> Remembered... what I was supposed to remember."

(22:14:43) (PC)_Trent): oO(No... he didn't come back. But... in a way, he never really left, either.)

(22:18:06) ((GM)_Prysus): ((Continue on then?))

(22:18:36) (PC)_Trent): actually...

(22:18:40) (PC)_Trent): good place to call it

(22:19:05) ((GM)_Prysus): Okay, I was only going to have them put the sword to rest, but we don't really need to do that.

(22:19:44) (PC)_Trent): ah, okay.

(22:19:51) (PC)_Trent): we can finish off that scene if you want

(22:20:40) ChatBot: (NADA) enters the channel.

(22:20:52) ChatBot: (NADA) leaves the channel.

(22:28:01) ((GM)_Prysus): They make it through the city without any real trouble. There are no monsters, no pests, no other people. it is just empty of all living things. The group finally comes upon a very grand building. Stepping inside there is a small garden, the only sign of anything living in this city. In the center of the garden is a coffin. Approaching it they can see through the glass viewer. It is the hero from the previous game. Light comes down through stained glass on the roof. This seems to be the only ray of light in the entire city, as the rest is covered in dark grey and gloomy clouds.

(22:29:45) ((GM)_Prysus): This is one of the man who finally defeated Beta's original incarnation, but he did so at the price of his own life. He was a hero who was forced to make the ulimate sacrifice for the fate of all else.

(22:32:00) (PC)_Trent): *looks down at the face, remembering several hours put into the game, a real emotional attachment... and remembers those in real life that he had lost from various reasons, who had given up their lives or been seperated because of what they believed in*

(22:37:28) ((GM)_Prysus): Sky touches the center piece of the coffin. The lid of the coffin opens up with the sound of a seal being broken. Despite so much time having passed the body is perfectly preserved. When the coffin opens the Zion Blade pulses once again. It slowly lifts up. Sky doesn't resist and lets it go. The sword floats through the air and lowers into the coffin, resting on his chest with the blade pointed towards the feet, its handle near his clasped hands. Without anything else having to be touched the coffin begins to close again. Even though the main character from that game died, his friends and allies lived. The ending of the story focused on them, because they are the ones he gave his life for. Some players felt let down that after all that time he died. But for the character the ultimate testament to his life was his friends, making the conclusion focusing on them a very fitting ending.

(22:39:58) (PC)_Trent): *sniffs*

(22:41:23) (PC)_Trent): "He died protecting his loved ones. He rests now, never forgotten, always remembered for what he did, and why he did it." *softly*

(22:43:51) ((GM)_Prysus): Sky, "Well said. Now it's our job to make sure that his work doesn't go undone. I think I have the answer I need. I know where Beta is now."

(22:44:08) (PC)_Trent): "You do?"

(22:46:18) ((GM)_Prysus): Sky, "It was something Beta said when we I encountered him. I didn't understand it at the time. But being here where it all happened for the first time I think I understand now."

(22:48:18) (PC)_Trent): (good place to call it then? )
