(18:01:50) ((GM)_Prysus): Okay, I have food, now I think I'm ready.(18:01:52) (PC)_Trent): ((18:01:56) (PC)_Trent): (ready(18:02:15) ((GM)_Prysus): And we last left off ...(18:05:43) ((GM)_Prysus): The group agreed to help the rancher with his problems the group headed towards the mountains. There they found a group of rock creatures called Rockmen. After several battles they encountered a Rockman in particular that was capable of communicating, explaining that it was the ruling of the new Rockmen Supreme that any who came to the mountains were to be attacked. Even though the group knew it would likely lead to them being attacked they asked to see the Rockmen Supreme, and the Rockman agreed to guide them. He brought them to a large cave. Inside they find more Rockmen and, sitting on a large rocky throne, is one very massive Rock Monster. The others are around 8 feet in height, but this one makes them look tiny in comparison and even at full height they don't even surpass his leg. If the Rockmen Supreme were standing on its feet it would likely be at least 20 feet in height.(18:08:22) (PC)_Trent): *lookes up... and up.(18:10:25) ((GM)_Prysus): There is a loud rumbling noise, and it sounds as if there is going to be a rockslide. However, the noise isn't coming from the mountain, but the Rockmen Supreme. After there is more rumbling noise from the Rockman who guided them here, and it seems as if they are communicating in some manner. Their Rockman guide once mentioned that few could speak the language of the group, but it is apparently becoming clear that they are not mindless monsters, merely a foreign race with a different language and culture.(18:13:31) ((GM)_Prysus): Finally the two stop, and the Rockmen Supreme addresses the group, "Your kind is not welcomed here. Tell me why I should not crush you all where you stand?" His voice is fierce and hostile.(18:14:54) (PC)_Trent): "Aren't you even a little curious as to those who would rather talk than fight? Who see that you are someone important enough to talk to? We came to negotiate with you."(18:19:59) ((GM)_Prysus): The Rockmen Supreme laughs. He mutters something in their language, then back to the group. "You wish to talk? That is how I know you are weak. Of course I am someone important. I am Supreme! You, you are nothing."(18:23:38) (PC)_Trent): "Wish?" *laughs, and shifts to a more aggressive stance* "It's not about 'wishing' or 'wanting.' A big part of me wants to take you on just for the experience poi...er, just for the experience of fighting with you. But I value efficiency. The most efficient way to deal with you is to talk to you."(18:39:29) ((GM)_Prysus): Rockmen Supreme, "The most efficient method for me is to have you crushed under rock." *He stands up, and the entire room shudders for a moment.*Holiday (to Trent): "We should have you talk more often." Sky, "We've already killed more of your people than I care to count or remember." *She draws her sword and points it towards the Rockman Supreme.* "Pursue this course, and you'll be destroyed." *Something about Sky's attitude right now seems far more aggressive. It's not something usually in her character.* (18:41:03) (PC)_Trent): oO(Like Holiday said... I dream about killing people >_< ) *stands so he's at the side and a little behind Sky, drawing his sword, in a "I'm backing mmy leader up" pose.*(18:44:21) ((GM)_Prysus): Rockmen Supreme, "You dare to threaten me? For that, I will show you what a true Rockman can do!" *The Supreme readies to fight.**Sky gets into a fighting position.* "That's what I thought you'd say." (18:44:37) ((GM)_Prysus): ((And unless you have something more to add, initiative.))(18:45:43) ChatBot: (PC)_Trent) rolls 1d20 and gets (11)+1=12.(18:45:47) ((GM)_Prysus): Supreme, Sky, Holiday, Aerial, Evrym2, Gil (in that order) ...(18:45:50) ChatBot: ((GM)_Prysus) rolls 6d20 and gets (16,9,16,20,5,18)=84.(18:48:47) ((GM)_Prysus): Aerial is set to stay back and heal, because admittedly she's not going to be of much use against the Rockmen Supreme. Gil is ordered to attack low while Holiday fires high (attempting to hit him both at once).(18:48:51) ChatBot: ((GM)_Prysus) rolls 2d20 and gets (9,12)=21.(18:49:00) ChatBot: ((GM)_Prysus) rolls 1d6 and gets (3)=3.(18:50:29) ((GM)_Prysus): Both connect with their hits, but they don't appear to have really done any damage at all, the hits merely bouncing off the Supreme's rocky hide. Trent is actually the one going to be attacked by the Supreme. He comes down with a massive devastating punch right towards him!(18:50:44) ((GM)_Prysus): Attack roll ...(18:50:49) ChatBot: ((GM)_Prysus) rolls 1d20 and gets (10)+3=13.(18:51:20) (PC)_Trent): *dodges out of the way*(18:51:23) ChatBot: (PC)_Trent) rolls 1d20 and gets (6)+8=14.(18:51:32) (PC)_Trent): (barely(18:52:10) ((GM)_Prysus): Then it will be Trent's move (Notes: The Rockmen Supreme has a low attack roll, but he does a LOT of damage. The type that is hard to hit, but if he hits it's going to hurt very badly. Additional note: The Rockmen Supreme has a Natural A.R. of 20, but no chance to dodge.))(18:53:28) ((GM)_Prysus): And remember, it's height is 20 feet tall, so consider how you'll attack it.(18:55:35) (PC)_Trent): (how far is his special attack?)(18:55:44) (PC)_Trent): (er, is he at his special attack? or no?)(18:56:03) ((GM)_Prysus): The Area Effect one? Or a different one?(18:56:29) (PC)_Trent): (the charge* is he at 100%? or no?)(18:56:50) ((GM)_Prysus): Oh! Okay. Roll a D20 (though you have a decent chance of it being full).(18:58:39) ChatBot: (PC)_Trent) rolls 1d20 and gets (19)=19.(18:58:45) (PC)_Trent): ((18:58:47) ((GM)_Prysus): Yes, it's full.(18:58:53) ((GM)_Prysus): Let me check everyone else's ...(18:59:04) ((GM)_Prysus): Sky, Holiday, Aerial, Evrym2, Gil ...(18:59:07) ChatBot: ((GM)_Prysus) rolls 5d20 and gets (14,10,10,12,18)=64.(19:00:29) ((GM)_Prysus): I'll rule Gil and Sky have them, with Evrym2 being close but not their yet (with luck he may get one during this fight). Holiday and Aerial are about half way there. Depending on the fight they may gain theirs, but that'll mean it'll have to be a long fight (which it may be) or the group is taking a lot of damage (which often corresponds to the first part).(19:00:41) (PC)_Trent): *activates Electric Blade, and goes for the stomach, hoping the increased damage will have some effect against the enemy.*(19:00:55) ((GM)_Prysus): Any plans to get to the stomach?(19:01:17) (PC)_Trent): leap up.(19:01:25) ((GM)_Prysus): There is at least 10 feet of legs.(19:01:27) (PC)_Trent): and possibly use knee as stepping stone(19:01:42) (PC)_Trent): *jump to knee, then jump up to stomach*(19:02:29) ((GM)_Prysus): You'll have to roll to strike the knee (to jump on it). Then after that we'll see if you can get the second part or not.(19:02:38) ChatBot: (PC)_Trent) rolls 1d20 and gets (4)+8=12.(19:03:41) ((GM)_Prysus): You can try for the stomach at a -4 to strike.(19:04:23) ChatBot: (PC)_Trent) rolls 1d20 and gets (12)+4=16.(19:04:39) (PC)_Trent): (not too bad at least. :-? )(19:09:06) ((GM)_Prysus): And not too bad, other than the fact it didn't beat the Supreme's Natural A.R. Though now I have to ask ... did you include your W.P. for jumping? Or are you not including it now?(19:09:48) (PC)_Trent): (I included my WP for jumping. :-? though maybe I shouldn't have. But 8-4 =16. )(19:09:58) (PC)_Trent): (his AR is higher than 16?(19:10:09) ((GM)_Prysus): I flat out mentioned his A.R. above.(19:10:34) (PC)_Trent): (I somehow missed that line, sorry >_< )(19:12:10) ((GM)_Prysus): And since I already said he made the first jump I won't go back on it, but for the future you shouldn't include your ability with a sword with your ability to jump. Typing ...(19:17:08) ((GM)_Prysus): Trent manages to make the first jump onto the knee, and leaps up again to take a swipe at the Supreme's stomach area. As he goes to attack the blade of his sword is surrounded by lightning and it slices into the stomach of the Supreme, the lightning of the blade stretching out and streaking across his stone hide. However, from the damage he dealt, he clearly didn't do as much damage as he would have with that attack (it normally does the equivalent of double damage, though half of that is normal damage). Even worse, due to the awkward jump he isn't able to land properly. He hits the ground and is temporarily dazed (loses his next action). Perhaps even more dangerous is that Trent is now directly by the feet of the Rockmen Supreme and an easy target to be stepped on.(19:28:50) ((GM)_Prysus): Sky goes in for a very basic attack (will roll for her in a moment) as orders/suggestions from the player comes in. First action will be for Evrym2 to move in and get Trent out of there (not retreat, but to get him out of direct harm's way). After that others are to spread out, stay defensive, and to wait for quick follow up attacks. "Quick" attacks are done faster, but tend to lack power and some accuracy. They are typically best when done in a combo. It is the same type of instructions Sky gave when they fought that monster at Endgear's Veil, where they first met Aerial and grandmother. ((Note: Trent has lost his action, so it won't have a huge affect on him anyways.))(19:29:04) ((GM)_Prysus): Sky ...(19:29:05) ChatBot: ((GM)_Prysus) rolls 1d20 and gets (2)=2.(19:29:39) ((GM)_Prysus): Her simple attack does no damage (one of those attacks that were simply carried out while the player was doing the more complicated orders).(19:30:55) ((GM)_Prysus): Meanwhile, everyone else holds their actions leaving the Rockmen Supreme up to move. He'll attack ... ((1 = Sky, 2= Holiday, 3 = Trent, 4 = Aerial, 5 = Evrym2, 6 = Gil))(19:30:58) ChatBot: ((GM)_Prysus) rolls 1d6 and gets (1)=1.(19:31:15) ((GM)_Prysus): Supreme then Sky ...(19:31:17) ChatBot: ((GM)_Prysus) rolls 2d20 and gets (7,14)=21.(19:31:42) ChatBot: ((GM)_Prysus) rolls 1d20 and gets (7)=7.(19:35:41) ((GM)_Prysus): The Rockmen Supreme comes down with his massive hand trying to slam into Sky who quickly dashes out of the way using her suprerior cat-like speed. As the hand hits the ground Gil uses one of his Special Techniques. He's using the Water Stone. It's a similar freezing method to his other one, but this one is on a larger scale and, more importantly, lasts longer than one attack. His target is the Rockmen Supreme's hand as it slams into the ground! The Ice Shards form around it, then close in and trap the hand to the floor. While this doesn't do any damage, it leaves the hand of the Rockmen Supreme immbolized, both open to attack and unable to attack them at the same time, but that doesn't mean that the Rockmen Supreme is unable to attack in other ways. With the hand frozen to the ground the group goes for its quick strikes!(19:35:58) ((GM)_Prysus): Sky, Holiday, Aerial, Evrym2 ...(19:36:01) ChatBot: ((GM)_Prysus) rolls 4d20 and gets (16,18,8,10)=52.(19:36:47) ((GM)_Prysus): ((And if you had any doubt, that is high enough for both Sky and Holiday to hit.(19:39:32) ((GM)_Prysus): Holiday fires at the arm as its immobilized. His bullets hit, but such small entry holes don't seem to do much damage to such a large and sturdy creature. However, a second later Sky comes in with her sword swiping the same area where Holiday just hit. As her sword slices into the area all those smaller holes spread and make an opening that takes the hand clean off!(19:39:58) ((GM)_Prysus): ((Typing a scene, which happened at 3 hits. Trent had one, now Holiday and Sky had one each as well for 3 total.))(19:50:16) ((GM)_Prysus): The Rockmen Supreme bellows in pain, causing the walls of the cave to shudder at the very sound. He says something to the other Rockmen present, who all then suddenly start to move back. The Supreme talks more in that foreign tongue, but the sound is clear. His tone is furious, shouting.Sky looks at him as she says, "That's the problem with a tyrant. If you rule only through strength, once they see you're weak you have nothing." The topic of a tyrant is something related to Sky's past, something she takes very personal, something she truly can't stand. Her look towards the Rockmen Supreme truly shows her hatred. The Rockmen Supreme shouts, "I don't need them! Insignificant fleshmongers can never hope to stand up to a Rockmen Supreme!" He then stands using his full height, and slams his hands into the ceiling of the cave over and over and over again! Rocks begin to fall from the ceiling down towards the group and everywhere else. Their rate of fall is too fast to hope to attack. (19:50:20) ((GM)_Prysus): For now, the only real choice is to dodge and wait for an opening (there will be three rounds of rock fall, then back to standard fighting).(19:50:46) ((GM)_Prysus): Falling Rocks (turn 1) ...(19:50:55) ChatBot: ((GM)_Prysus) rolls 1d20 and gets (5)+1=6.(19:51:12) (PC)_Trent): *tries to dodge*(19:51:21) ChatBot: (PC)_Trent) rolls 1d20 and gets (20)+8=28.(19:51:25) ((GM)_Prysus): ((It's fairly random, but the cave is filled with them so they can't move around much more than avoidance.))(19:51:31) ChatBot: ((GM)_Prysus) rolls 5d20 and gets (13,5,2,16,4)=40.(19:53:31) ((GM)_Prysus): Everyone is able to avoid the first round, the Aerial does come dangerously close as she tries to fly around and avoid them. The fact she's in the air almost makes her more prone to being hit with less reaction time, but at the same time she's not nearly as good on the ground making it a difficult position for her either way she goes. Meanwhile, Trent not only manages to dodge but he manages to find a place that will shield him from further rocks! However, it's only big enough for one person.(19:54:46) ((GM)_Prysus): ((And unless you're typing something I'll move on to round 2.))(19:55:44) (PC)_Trent): *hunkers down in the spot and gets ready to spring into an attack on the Rockman Supreme once the rocks stop falling*(19:56:01) (PC)_Trent): *or to push someone out of the way of falling rocks if they're about to get hit(19:56:14) ((GM)_Prysus): Round 2 ...(19:56:15) (PC)_Trent): (and sure, round2)(19:56:27) ((GM)_Prysus): Rocks, Sky, Holiday, Aerial, Evrym2, Gil ...(19:56:34) ChatBot: ((GM)_Prysus) rolls 6d20 and gets (9,14,2,17,19,1)=62.(19:57:50) ((GM)_Prysus): From the look of things Holiday and Gil are about to get hit by rocks. Evrym2 will try to get Gil out of the way (proximity). Trent can try for Holiday if he likes, though he'll be vulnerable next round if he does.(19:57:57) ((GM)_Prysus): Evrym2 to help Gil ...(19:57:59) ChatBot: ((GM)_Prysus) rolls 1d20 and gets (19)=19.(19:58:13) ((GM)_Prysus): And making it look so easy.(19:58:25) (PC)_Trent): (he's a great defender.(19:58:39) (PC)_Trent): *tries to get Holiday out of the way!*(19:58:42) ChatBot: (PC)_Trent) rolls 1d20 and gets (7)+8=15.(19:59:07) ((GM)_Prysus): Trent is able to successfully get Holiday out of the way right as the rock falls behind them both.(19:59:11) ((GM)_Prysus): Round 3 ...(19:59:18) ((GM)_Prysus): Same order as last time ...(19:59:21) ChatBot: ((GM)_Prysus) rolls 6d20 and gets (11,16,14,4,6,14)=65.(20:00:08) (PC)_Trent): *attempts to dodge*(20:00:11) ChatBot: (PC)_Trent) rolls 1d20 and gets (15)+8=23.(20:00:26) (PC)_Trent): (and if possible drag Holiday with him to saftey(20:00:41) ((GM)_Prysus): Holiday is fine. It's Aerial that's about to be hit.(20:01:29) ((GM)_Prysus): An attempt can be made to rescue her by Trent or Holiday ... but to do so will put them at a -4 to dodge. If they miss, they'll be hit as well as Aerial. Rock's strike roll is 12 (with bonus).(20:01:48) ((GM)_Prysus): Holiday is going to try and help ...(20:01:52) ChatBot: ((GM)_Prysus) rolls 1d20 and gets (10)=10.(20:02:07) ((GM)_Prysus): Luckily he has more than a +2 to dodge.(20:05:29) (PC)_Trent): *dodges to saftey, and would help Aerial (though it looks like Holiday has her covered)(20:05:58) ((GM)_Prysus): The rocks slow in their fall until the tantrum of the Rockmen Supreme stops. Aerial (to Holiday), "Thanks.Holiday, "Don't thank me." *As he moves to get ready to fight again.* "If it wasn't for Trent I'd have been stuck under a rock right now. So if you want to thank someone go thank him." *Said as if he doesn't like being thanked for doing something nice.* (20:06:39) (PC)_Trent):(20:07:13) ((GM)_Prysus): New initiative.(20:07:22) ChatBot: (PC)_Trent) rolls 1d20 and gets (5)+1=6.(20:07:29) ((GM)_Prysus): Rockmen Supreme, Sky, Holiday, Aerial, Evrym2, Gil ...(20:07:31) ChatBot: ((GM)_Prysus) rolls 6d20 and gets (13,10,14,16,1,7)=61.(20:08:42) ((GM)_Prysus): Aerial is to hold back and heal (because once again, she's not much use in this type of fight). Holiday's orders are to try and aim for things like the eyes.(20:08:46) ChatBot: ((GM)_Prysus) rolls 1d20 and gets (18)=18.(20:08:57) ((GM)_Prysus):(20:09:57) ((GM)_Prysus): Holiday nails one of the eyes, or what is the equivalent of an eye, of the Rockmen Supreme. It grabs the wound with a bellow and then comes slamming its fist down right towards Holiday to squash him good!(20:10:03) ChatBot: ((GM)_Prysus) rolls 2d20 and gets (17,4)=21.(20:10:11) ((GM)_Prysus): Ewww ...(20:12:31) ((GM)_Prysus): The hand of the Rockmen Supreme slams hard into the ground bashing into Holiday who goes flying back from the impact. The impact is so great that it actually sends Holiday clear out of the cave! From a game mechanic's point of view he's been eliminated from the battle, even if not killed. With him no longer engaged in the battle it's hard to tell how badly he's hurt as well.(20:13:27) ((GM)_Prysus): Sky goes to use her Special Technique ...(20:13:30) ChatBot: ((GM)_Prysus) rolls 2d20 and gets (16,9)=25.(20:15:49) ((GM)_Prysus): Sky throws her sword which takes a good chunk out of the side of the Rockmen Supreme. With her amazing speed she moves in behind it to catch it and comes down with a second slash endering in a large fiery explosion. It seems like the second half didn't do nearly as much damage as it normally would have and fire doing little damage, but the first one looks as if it did good damage and the Rockmen Supreme is badly hurt ((GM Note: Next hit that hurts him will end the battle.))(20:16:31) ((GM)_Prysus): Um ... Trent's move I think.(20:17:48) (PC)_Trent): *tries to get around it and attack at the ankle with his blade, trying to get him off balance*(20:17:50) ChatBot: (PC)_Trent) rolls 1d20 and gets (15)+8=23.(20:20:24) ((GM)_Prysus): Trent moves in and slashs at the ankle. His sword cuts in deep causing the giant Rockmen Supreme to wobble and start to lose his balance. The slash from Trent causes a crack to spread out and the Rockmen Supreme falls back. As it hits the ground it crumbles into several pieces.(20:21:12) ((GM)_Prysus): ((And yes, in a game these battles would probably take longer than they do. But it's easier from a RPG aspect to keep them relatively simple and keep the game moving.(20:24:15) (PC)_Trent): *takes a deep breath, then goes and looks for Holiday. Feels a mix of Victory and concern for his comrades.*(20:25:08) ((GM)_Prysus): Entering into the cave is a Rockman, Holiday leaning against it and holding his ribs.(20:27:44) (PC)_Trent): *heads over.* (is it the same one that could speak Terran?)(20:28:19) ((GM)_Prysus): Aerial rushes over to him, "Let me take him." She doesn't speak in a way to get him away from the Rockman, but in the way a healer wants to treat a patient. She uses some of her herbs to try and heal Holiday who is well under half of his life. Holiday (to Aerial), "Thanks."Aerial, "Don't thank me. If it wasn't for you I'd be trapped under a rock right now so thank yourself." Holiday laughs at the comment, then winces in pain from the motion. (20:28:43) ((GM)_Prysus): It's hard to tell for sure, but chances are yes.(20:31:07) (PC)_Trent): *smirks at the banter, and walks over to the rockman* "Thank you for helping him. So... now that your... um... leader is gone, what will your people plan on doing next?"(20:32:33) ((GM)_Prysus): Rockman, "Now that Rockmen Supreme is gone, we will split back up into Rockmen Tribes." ((Reminder: Rockmen Tribes were mentioned last game, and the Rockmen Supreme had conquered all of them.))(20:32:42) ((GM)_Prysus): Sky, "And for the people and the pass?"(20:35:27) ((GM)_Prysus): Rockman, "We seek a solitary life. It was only the Rockmen Supreme who sought war. If your people leave our kind alone, we will leave yours alone." ((GM Note: When I say "solitary" I am referring to Rockmen only. Basically they don't like being disturbed, but they will still be living in tribes of their own kind.))(20:38:00) (PC)_Trent): "I suppose that will do. Too bad we can't open trade negotiations... but... better not push it(20:39:55) ((GM)_Prysus): ((Out of curiosity, what would he want to trade with? They don't seem to have any technology? Just their basic strength, durability, and rock melding abilities.))(20:41:12) (PC)_Trent): (set up a trade route between the poor rancher and them(20:41:22) (PC)_Trent): (or the village next to rancher.)(20:41:49) (PC)_Trent): (just Trent's instincts from lots of missions. Establish relations & trade =)) )(20:41:59) ((GM)_Prysus): ((Teehee.))(20:45:00) ((GM)_Prysus): ((And unless there is anything else you feel you need to take care of, don't want to cut you off, we can fast forward back to the rancher.))(20:46:18) (PC)_Trent): (we can go back to the ranch(20:48:58) ((GM)_Prysus): When they return to the ranch Ralph (the dog) barks excitedly, welcoming them back. They are well met by the rancher, and they explain the situation and that the pass will now be open. Rancher, "Ah, that is good news. I am very glad to hear it. Now, I believe you were interested in trying to get some Feather Runners for yourself. Well, I believe I can help you with that. I don't have any in stock, but I can help teach you how to catch them."(20:50:00) (PC)_Trent): "Okay. Can you come with us to catch them?(20:51:13) ((GM)_Prysus): Rancher, "Yes, I can.(20:56:16) (PC)_Trent): oO(Of course. ^_^ ) "Okay. Please show us how to catch the Feather Runners."(21:14:47) ((GM)_Prysus): Rancher, "Well, the first thing you'll need to do is select the type of bait you want to use. Different types of Feathered Runners are attracted to different types of bait. Let me show you ..." *He guides them to a cabinent that he opens showing several different types of pellets.* "Green Pellets are the most basic. You can attract a basic type of Feathered Runner with those. With luck you may attract one of the other breeds, but that is very rare. They have fair speed and endurance as well as fairly manageable even to someone without a lot of experience in riding them. Then there are the other four breeds: Fire, Water, Earth, and Air. You can tell these breeds by the color of their feathers. These types need special pellets to attract them, and even then it can take a great deal of patience to catch one."(21:15:01) ((GM)_Prysus): "The Red Pellets attract the Fire Runners. They're faster, but also quicker to tire. Also, they have fouler tempered and are more difficult to manage. Blue Pellets attract Water Runners. They're not much different than the regular breed, but they are far more agile. They make excellent mounts in combat. Brown Pellets attract the Earth Runners. They're hide is tougher, and they are sure footed able to run over almost any type of terrain without needing to slow down. The White Pellets attract the Air Runners. They're not as fast as the other types, but they have amazing endurance and can run for an entire day without the need to stop. They are by far the easiest breed to manage, and even a novice can ride one of them without a problem. Then there are the Black Pellets. They attract the Void Runners. My father had one once when I was a small boy, but I have never had one myself and they are so exceptionally rare I have not seen one since."(21:15:07) ((GM)_Prysus): "The Void Runners have a similar temper to the standard Feathered Runners, but are faster, have better endurance, excellent mobility for combat, and can run over just about any type of surface. While they are not quite as exceptional in any of those fields as the other types, the fact that they have such a wide array of talents makes them very valuable and highly sought after. So, what type of Pellets are you interested in?"(21:17:32) (PC)_Trent): oO(It took me an ungodly amount of hours to get a Void Runner... ah... that was a good game.)(21:19:34) ((GM)_Prysus): Gil, "I think I like the Water Runners." Holiday, "Why doesn't that surprise me? Though I think I have to agree." Aerial, "I think I like the Air Runners." *Said with a light laugh/giggle.*(21:20:37) (PC)_Trent): "Water is decent too. Can ride them into combat.(21:21:24) ((GM)_Prysus): Sky, "We'll take some of each type of pellet and we can deal with whatever comes. How does that sound?"Rancher, Sky, "I'm sure that would cost a lot of money. I know you're thankful, but we don't want to break you, especially not while you're still trying to get back on your feet. We can pay for it." (21:22:52) (PC)_Trent):(21:23:02) (PC)_Trent): "All of them. I like that choice.(21:23:03) ((GM)_Prysus): ((And I take it player has no objection?))(21:23:09) ((GM)_Prysus): ((LOL!))(21:25:55) ((GM)_Prysus): And unless there are objections, I'll get to setting out the bait and waiting to see what shows up?(21:28:52) (PC)_Trent): no objections. Will set out the bait, and use any tricks he knew about locations/places etc (the right spot at the right time of day while facing the right direction and standing on one leg etc(21:30:33) ((GM)_Prysus): With the Rancher's help they set the bait and lie in wait to see what type of Feathered Runners show up. 01-30: Feathered Runner (Standard). 31-45: Fire Runner. 46-60: Water Runner. 61-75: Earth Runner. 75-90: Air Runner. 91-98: Nothing. 99-00: Void Runner. ((Note: All breeds are Feathered Runners even though the other types are called differently. That is for ease. But they are all breed from the same type, kind of like how there are several different types of dogs or horses breed from the same type that end up being considered different breeds.))(21:31:32) ((GM)_Prysus): Each character, plus the Rancher, gets to roll once, plus I'll give one bonus roll.(21:31:58) ChatBot: (PC)_Trent) rolls 1d100 and gets (42)=42.(21:32:06) ((GM)_Prysus): Sky, Holiday, Aerial, Evrym2, Gil, Rancher, Bonus roll ...(21:32:10) ChatBot: ((GM)_Prysus) rolls 7d100 and gets (11,24,28,97,19,96,13)=288.(21:32:25) (PC)_Trent): (hey, I got one!(21:32:33) (PC)_Trent): (and soooo close for void runner. =)) )(21:33:02) ((GM)_Prysus): And hold on ... two got nothing! There aren't enough Feathered Runners for everyone.(21:36:54) ((GM)_Prysus): The Feathered Runners looks predominately like a horse, with some subtle features of a large cat mixed in. The Fire Runner looks to have the cat influence of a cheetah. Their sinews have feathers all along them, with its mane resembling more of a Native American's head dress (not sure if that's the right term?). The Fire Runner's feathers are a mix of white red.(21:37:06) ((GM)_Prysus): Now, they're going to actually have to try and catch it!(21:37:56) ((GM)_Prysus): ((Note: IF Trent doesn't want the Fire Runner he doesn't have to go for it and can let someone else try.))(21:38:17) (PC)_Trent): *will try the fire runner.*(21:38:48) (PC)_Trent): "Hey there." *approaches it slowly, bringing food.* "Want to come with us, big guy?(21:39:21) ((GM)_Prysus): Step 1: Roll to strike to grab on (it can roll to dodge, but since there are Red Pellets involved it won't be at full bonuses).Step 2: Roll to hold on. A Fire Runner's skill is 60% untrained. (21:40:21) ((GM)_Prysus): Fire Runner's dodge (straight roll, no bonuses at all) ...(21:40:35) ChatBot: ((GM)_Prysus) rolls 1d20 and gets (12)=12.(21:41:47) ChatBot: (PC)_Trent) rolls 1d20 and gets (6)+5=11.(21:42:07) ChatBot: (PC)_Trent) rolls 1d100 and gets (14)=14.(21:42:16) ((GM)_Prysus): For riding notes ...Feathered Runner: 80% Fire Runner: 60% Water Runner: 80% Earth Runner: 80% Air Runner: 95% Void Runner: 70% (21:42:48) ((GM)_Prysus): Well, that is a very good piloting roll Trent. Unfortunately he didn't grab it on his first try.(21:43:36) ((GM)_Prysus): However, because it was so close, I will give him a second try. It dodged by narrowly moving out of the way/side stepping. It didn't have a chance to bolt yet. It gets a +2 bonus this time though (it's standard bonus, last time it was distracted).(21:43:44) ((GM)_Prysus): ((And yes, I view this as a mini-game.(21:44:35) ChatBot: (PC)_Trent) rolls 1d20 and gets (11)+5=16.(21:44:35) ((GM)_Prysus): Trent can make a second strike roll (and if he grabs it I'll let you keep that horsemanship roll).(21:44:40) ChatBot: ((GM)_Prysus) rolls 1d20 and gets (15)+2=17.(21:44:47) (PC)_Trent): ( Sooo... close...)(21:45:40) (PC)_Trent): "You're just playing with me now, aren't you? Dodging juuust out of reach." *chuckles, but doesn't seem too angry or frustrated.* "You're faster than I am..." *tries to offer it more pellets*(21:45:46) ((GM)_Prysus): The Fire Runner moves just barely away again and shakes its head with a neigh, almost sounding like it's laughing at Trent. >_<(21:47:19) ((GM)_Prysus): And let's see if the Fire Runner falls for it (though it's not likely because they're more foul tempered).(21:47:30) ChatBot: ((GM)_Prysus) rolls 1d20 and gets (19)+4=23.(21:48:11) ((GM)_Prysus): Yeah, it's not going for it. But ... it will try to knock Trent over by running right through/over him!(21:48:16) ((GM)_Prysus): It's strike roll!(21:48:24) ChatBot: ((GM)_Prysus) rolls 1d20 and gets (10)+2=12.(21:48:54) (PC)_Trent): *simultaneous strike grab him. Knows he's going to get hurt by the impact, but will try to hang on, grab, and attempt to get on it's back*(21:48:58) ChatBot: (PC)_Trent) rolls 1d20 and gets (15)+5=20.(21:49:08) ChatBot: (PC)_Trent) rolls 1d100 and gets (38)=38.(21:49:16) (PC)_Trent): ((21:49:22) ((GM)_Prysus): ((I was going to suggest a possibly Rolling Strike. But I guess Simultaneous works too.(21:51:57) ((GM)_Prysus): Though it does hit Trent as he almost falls and gets trampled under its hooves he is able to grab onto its feathered mane and pull himself up and onto its back. It tries to throw him off furiously for a while, but eventually it stops and gives in. The Rancher would have warned him by now (if he didn't already) that the Fire Runners are by far the most likely to run off the moment you give them a chance. Trent will always have to teether it to something solid everytime he dismounts or it will take off on him.(21:53:33) ((GM)_Prysus): ((Air Runners are fairly trustworthy. Most others will be trustworthy after a short time. Void Runners can be broken but takes longer. They're not as foul tempered as a Fire Runner, but not as calm as the other types either.))(21:55:02) (PC)_Trent): *tethers it while waiting for the others to catch theirs.*(21:55:34) ((GM)_Prysus): Okay: Sky, Feathered Runner, Holiday, Feathered Runner, Aerial, Feathered Runner, Gil, Feathered Runner, Rancher, Feathered Runner ...(21:55:53) ChatBot: ((GM)_Prysus) rolls 10d20 and gets (12,5,4,16,19,20,4,4,3,4)=91.(21:56:30) ((GM)_Prysus): Sky easily catches hers with her cheetah speed.(21:56:32) ChatBot: ((GM)_Prysus) rolls 1d100 and gets (18)=18.(21:56:49) ((GM)_Prysus): And controls it without problem, almost as if she's a natural.(21:57:14) ((GM)_Prysus): Aerial narrowly misses as hers bolts off! Since she can fly she can have another shot at it though.(21:57:18) ChatBot: ((GM)_Prysus) rolls 2d20 and gets (5,12)=17.(21:57:25) ((GM)_Prysus): Though nope!(21:57:32) ((GM)_Prysus): Rancher ...(21:57:34) ChatBot: ((GM)_Prysus) rolls 1d100 and gets (64)=64.(21:58:11) ((GM)_Prysus): Gil ...(21:58:14) ChatBot: ((GM)_Prysus) rolls 1d100 and gets (57)=57.(21:58:44) ((GM)_Prysus): Trent, Sky, Gil and the Rancher are the only ones to catch their Runners. Holiday, Aerial, and Evrym2 still need to try and catch another one though.(21:59:07) ((GM)_Prysus): I'm going to give everyone another roll.(21:59:20) ChatBot: (PC)_Trent) rolls 1d100 and gets (21)=21.(21:59:20) ((GM)_Prysus): Sky, Holiday, Aerial, Evrym2, Gil, and the Rancher ...(21:59:25) ChatBot: ((GM)_Prysus) rolls 6d100 and gets (38,28,26,81,9,76)=258.(22:00:46) ((GM)_Prysus): Okay, Sky gets a chance at a Fire Runner. Holiday another shot a Feathered Runner. Aerial a Feathered Runner. Evrym2 an Air Runner. Gil a Feathered Runner. Rancher an Air Runner. Trent a Feathered Runner.(22:01:47) ((GM)_Prysus): Sky, Fire Runner, Holiday, Feathered Runner, Aerial, Feathered Runner, Evrym2, Air Runner, Gil, Feathered Runner, Rancher, Air Runner (in that order) ...(22:02:00) ChatBot: ((GM)_Prysus) rolls 12d20 and gets (18,19,20,1,19,15,4,7,3,8,12,20)=146.(22:02:05) (PC)_Trent): (wait... i thought Sky already caught one?)(22:02:16) (PC)_Trent): (or is she catching for someone else?)(22:02:19) ((GM)_Prysus): She did. They teethered them and are trying for more.(22:02:27) (PC)_Trent): (ah, okay(22:02:37) (PC)_Trent): *attempts to get the air runner*(22:02:42) ChatBot: (PC)_Trent) rolls 1d20 and gets (2)+5=7.(22:03:04) ((GM)_Prysus): The worst that can happen is they catch extras and give them to the Rancher. Best results they get the types they want for everyone.(22:03:11) ((GM)_Prysus): And Trent roll a Feathered Runner.(22:03:23) ((GM)_Prysus): Don't worry, the Air Runners are really easy to catch.(22:03:52) ((GM)_Prysus): ((I wasn't paying attention otherwise I wouldn't have even rolled a dodge for them.(22:04:11) (PC)_Trent): (oops, sorry, for some reason I thought that said air runner.(22:05:34) ((GM)_Prysus): Sky barely catches hers. Holiday easily catches his. Aerial easily catches hers. Evrym2 catches his. Gil misses his! And the Rancher catches his (because it's an Air Runner otherwise that thing would be so gone!).(22:05:59) ((GM)_Prysus): The dodge for Trent ...(22:06:01) ChatBot: ((GM)_Prysus) rolls 1d20 and gets (1)=1.(22:06:09) ((GM)_Prysus): Trent easily catches his.(22:06:31) ((GM)_Prysus): Sky, Holiday, Aerial, Evrym2, Rancher (for piloting/horsemanship) ...(22:06:37) ChatBot: ((GM)_Prysus) rolls 5d100 and gets (2,74,76,19,98)=269.(22:06:51) ((GM)_Prysus):(22:07:17) (PC)_Trent): "Sky... have you done this before?"(22:07:22) ((GM)_Prysus): Sky is awesome!(22:07:33) ((GM)_Prysus): However, the Rancher is thrown from an Air Runner!(22:07:42) (PC)_Trent): oO(She's my hero.(22:07:55) ((GM)_Prysus): Trent, roll a D100 to see if he can ride/capture his.(22:08:07) ChatBot: (PC)_Trent) rolls 1d100 and gets (86)=86.(22:08:20) ((GM)_Prysus): Oh! Trent is thrown from the Feathered Runner!(22:08:34) ((GM)_Prysus): Both Trent and the Rancher will have a second chance. But you have to repeat the process.(22:08:39) ((GM)_Prysus): So go to strike again.(22:08:46) (PC)_Trent): *rolls with the impact from the fall, gets to his feet, and tries again.*(22:08:50) ChatBot: (PC)_Trent) rolls 1d20 and gets (13)+5=18.(22:09:10) ((GM)_Prysus): Rancher, and this time I will roll for a dodge from the highly spirited Air Runner.(22:09:14) ChatBot: ((GM)_Prysus) rolls 2d20 and gets (7,13)=20.(22:09:26) (PC)_Trent): "Sorry there, I got a little... distracted."(22:09:35) (PC)_Trent): "Now you've got my full attention, beasty."(22:09:37) ChatBot: (PC)_Trent) rolls 1d100 and gets (3)=3.(22:09:43) ((GM)_Prysus): That Air Runner is too good.(22:09:46) ChatBot: ((GM)_Prysus) rolls 1d20 and gets (8)=8.(22:09:58) ((GM)_Prysus): And yes, Trent definitely does catch it and reign it in this time.(22:10:29) ((GM)_Prysus): However, that spirited Air Runner won't be coming back (at least not this time around).(22:11:38) (PC)_Trent): *tethers it and pats it*(22:12:36) ((GM)_Prysus): And okay, time to figure out the caught mounts. Sky: Feathered Runner and Fire Runner. Holiday: Feathered Runner. Aerial: Feathered Runner. Evrym2: Air Runner. Gil: Feathered Runner. Rancher: Feathered Runner. Trent: Fire Runner and Feathered Runner.(22:12:41) ((GM)_Prysus): And you know what I just realized?(22:12:47) ((GM)_Prysus): Trent never rolled the bonus die.(22:12:50) ((GM)_Prysus): Roll %.(22:13:01) ChatBot: (PC)_Trent) rolls 1d100 and gets (20)=20.(22:13:23) ((GM)_Prysus): Okay, never mind then. It's just a regular Feathered Runner and since everyone had one it doesn't really matter.(22:14:14) (PC)_Trent): ( teehee. No void runner :-? )(22:14:34) ((GM)_Prysus): Sky is taking a Fire Runner, but going to give her spare Feathered Runner to the Rancher. Evrym2 will trade is Air Runner to Aerial for her Feathered Runner.(22:15:50) ((GM)_Prysus): ((And you know what's the most shocking about this? There was only a 30% chance for a Feathered Runner ... and we had a LOT of them! If only I could roll that well every night.(22:17:23) (PC)_Trent): (LOL!)(22:17:23) ((GM)_Prysus): Trent can decide what he wants to do with his Runners.(22:18:33) (PC)_Trent): *looks at the two, patting them.* "So... which of you wants to come with me?(22:21:46) ((GM)_Prysus): Well, the Fire Runner is definitely the most likely to run off the first chance it gets.(22:22:32) (PC)_Trent): (1 is fire, 2 is feathered.)(22:22:34) ChatBot: (PC)_Trent) rolls 1d2 and gets (1)=1.(22:22:48) (PC)_Trent): *gives the Feathered Runner to the rancher.*(22:25:04) ((GM)_Prysus): So the group now all has mounts, and the rancher has 3 Feathered Runners to help get his ranch started again.(22:26:07) (PC)_Trent): *to the Rancher* "Um, I could never tell... is this one male or female?"(22:26:42) ((GM)_Prysus): 1 is male, 2 is female.(22:26:44) ChatBot: ((GM)_Prysus) rolls 1d2 and gets (2)=2.(22:26:55) ((GM)_Prysus): Trent is riding a female.(22:28:22) ((GM)_Prysus): Out of curiosity, let's see the Rancher's luck ...(22:28:25) ChatBot: ((GM)_Prysus) rolls 3d2 and gets (2,1,1)=4.(22:28:39) ((GM)_Prysus): Two males and one female.(22:29:01) ((GM)_Prysus): Sky, Holiday, Aerial, Evrym2, and Gil ...(22:29:04) ChatBot: ((GM)_Prysus) rolls 5d2 and gets (2,2,1,2,1)=8.(22:29:28) ((GM)_Prysus): And the Spirited Air Runner that got away ...(22:29:29) ChatBot: ((GM)_Prysus) rolls 1d2 and gets (1)=1.(22:29:41) (PC)_Trent): "Okay, girl... <_<; ;>_> " oO(If I named her Kaylin or Kili, Noria would probably kill me when she found out. Zolmin? Amusing but no. I'll name her... "Ruby. How does that work?(22:29:41) ((GM)_Prysus): ((What? YOu mean me curious.(22:29:51) (PC)_Trent): ( teehee)(22:30:06) ((GM)_Prysus): *You made me (stupid typo)(22:30:11) (PC)_Trent): ( i expected spirited one to be female for some reason... but maybe it was like Gray. =)) )(22:31:21) ((GM)_Prysus): And want to call it here?(22:32:13) (PC)_Trent): good place to call it.(22:32:33) (PC)_Trent): thanks for running. *hugs*(22:32:42) ((GM)_Prysus): *Hugs.* Thanks for playing. |
