Space Mercenaries: Game 4

(17:53:11) ChatBot: lady_coldstrife is now known as (PC)Shepard).

(17:53:33) (PC)Shepard): i know, Pry prolly won't start until 6:30, I'm just claiming this territory :P

(17:57:04) ChatBot: tristen enters the channel.

(17:57:32) ChatBot: tristen leaves the channel.

(17:59:54) ChatBot: JustMe enters the channel.

(18:00:02) ChatBot: JustMe is now known as (PC)Deadeye).

(18:06:44) (PC)Deadeye): im working on a new asp project so I'm only half here

(18:07:02) (PC)Shepard): ah

(18:30:25) ChatBot: Prysus enters the channel.

(18:30:36) Prysus: Still doing a bit of typing.

(18:30:41) (PC)Shepard): *Hugs!* and okay :)

(18:30:41) Prysus: Will be ready soon-ish.

(18:31:16) (PC)Deadeye): no worries I just got my css driven menu functioning sorta

(18:43:39) ChatBot: Prysus is now known as (GM)(Prysus).

(18:48:32) (PC)Shepard): (and ready when you are :))

(18:49:19) (GM)(Prysus): And okay, I'm ready I think.

(18:49:23) (GM)(Prysus): Deadeye?

(18:50:44) (PC)Deadeye): yup tup

(18:51:01) (PC)Deadeye): sorry, I'll start paying attention to this window

(18:51:03) (GM)(Prysus): Okay, cut and paste coming ...

(18:51:19) (GM)(Prysus): There's a planet with a bleak, dark red sky hangs over two domes separated by a path of fire. Moving between the domes are small little figures outside. One person drops. Sweat dripping off his face. Another stops and goes back. Trying to help the first up by the arm the second says, "Come on, we need to keep moving." Behind them something moves. A shadowy inhuman figure of death raises one of its arms with a tube attached, and fires. The blue-white flash covers everything.

System: Tardanis System.
Location: Planet Alur.
Time: 1900 hours.

Mixed groups of civilians and soldiers fill the crowd in front of the VIIvex Mining Facility. Gold Eagle continues to stand with weapons aimed and ready. Maj. Sykes speaks, "Stand down! We are under orders by --"

Before he can finish the Gold Eagle leader cuts him off, "We are under orders from the top, Colonel Radd. Now you and everyone else needs to clear back." Tensions are clearly running high as the kazire forces continue to come closer.

(18:51:30) (GM)(Prysus): A man stands in front of glass windows leading to a balcony. The balcony overlooks a crowd of people huddled up in front of the entrance to the VIIvex Mining Facility. Insignia on his uniform indicate he's a colonel and there is only one colonel on Alur, Colonel Curt Radd.

Military Dome
Office of the Eagle Base Commander

Sitting in a chair behind him a woman drinks a glass of scotch. "You can't just leave them out there," she says.

"To Hell I can't," responds Col. Radd. "You did this, didn't you?" He turns to face her. The woman sitting across from him is Lt. Colonel Emma Weiss. "Well I'm not that soft hearted. What we have down there is Earth's greatest hope. I'm not going to give it up that easy."

Lt. Col. Weiss holds the glass in her hand. The image of Col. Radd is distorted through the brown liquid. "Yes, they are."

(18:51:33) (GM)(Prysus): Col. Radd says, "Them? They're just bottom feeders. I've been entrusted with safeguarding this base, and that's what I'm going to do. With the new disruption barriers we can keep them out of this facility. We will not fall."

"The barriers only stopped them from Manifesting inside the dome," Lt. Col. Weiss responds. "That's only bought us time, but they're too strong. They will breach our defenses and destroy us one by one. You haven't seen them in action, I have, and they will not stop until we are all dead and they have it."

"Ah yes, the legendary survivor, the little girl who survived their assault on Elysium. And you're hoping for another miracle now? You want to be the great hero and lead to safety and survive yet again?"

(18:51:41) (GM)(Prysus): She places her glass on the table and stands. "No, that's not what I want at all. My surviving that day wasn't a miracle, it was intentional. They wanted me to survive to tell the tale of how useless we are. They wanted to break our spirits. They failed. I see hope, but it is not with me. When the kazire come, I will still be here, with you. On Elysium I was too young to fight them. No longer. We will fight, and that will give them the chance to survive, to be our hope."

(18:51:43) (GM)(Prysus): ((Done.))

(18:54:29) (PC)Deadeye): *turns invisible without even thinking about it and backs away from the confrontation waiting and watching how things play out*

(18:55:47) (PC)Shepard): (How many of Gold Eagle are there?)

(18:56:31) (PC)Shepard): *looks to Sykes.* "Are there any ships we can use to escape?"

(19:03:50) (GM)(Prysus): Sykes, "One, and that's why we need to get inside."

As for how many Gold Eagle members are here, there's not as many as there are civilians and other troops. They could probably be overrun by numbers alone, but that doesn't mean it won't be costly. Gold Eagle are the heavy infantry, and that means the most powerful guns and the most powerful armor, not to mention decent hand to hand training. If a rush started Gold Eagle would get overwhelmed with little doubt, but not before it got very messy.

(19:04:54) (PC)Shepard): "It looks like Col. Radd has consigned us all to die. So... if I were to assasinate him... would you become commanding officer? :|" *to Sykes, privately.*

(19:09:41) (GM)(Prysus): Sykes, "No. Command would fall to one of the unit (as in Blue, Gold, Red, Black, etc.) commanding officers, probably the first one to act on the situation."

(19:10:27) (PC)Shepard): "Pity." *sighs.* "Ah, well. I have the ability to go astral and the ability to use telekenesis. Maybe you can think of a better use for it than I can to get us out of this situation. >_< "

(19:12:04) (PC)Deadeye): "well if we just need to steal the ship.."

(19:12:31) (GM)(Prysus): ((For note: I'm not randomly making that up. I have listed all the commanding officers on one of the links I provided. Military ranks would go Colonel, Lt. Colonel, Major, in that descending order. Well, for those present. I'm not counting the higher ranks not on the planet.))

(19:12:41) (PC)Shepard): (no, that's fine. :))

(19:13:01) (PC)Shepard): (it makes sense, and character would probably know it, even if player doesn't so much :P)

(19:13:34) (GM)(Prysus): ((I just didn't want you to feel I'm trying to block your idea. It was a very interesting idea. :)))

(19:13:45) (GM)(Prysus): Everyone, 2D6.

(19:13:46) (PC)Shepard): (Clever but futile :P)

(19:13:48) ChatBot: (PC)Shepard) rolls 2d6 and gets (4,1)=5.

(19:14:01) (PC)Shepard): "I can't fly a whole ship with just TK..."

(19:14:04) ChatBot: (PC)Deadeye) rolls 2d6 and gets (1,3)=4.

(19:15:16) (PC)Deadeye): "well I can get on board easily enough I'm sure I could handle the controls"

(19:18:52) ChatBot: (GM)(Prysus) rolls 2d6 and gets (3,6)=9.

(19:24:13) (GM)(Prysus): The balcony doors in the tower overlooking the mine entrance open. Stepping out onto the balcony is Col. Radd, his hands folded behind his back as he overlooks the situation. He stands there silent for a moment. With the conflict going on at the entrance and the impending doom following not far behind not many notice, but both Shepard and Deadeye see him as soon as he steps out. With his position, pulled back to wait and see how the situation unfolds, Deadeye has a very unique view of the human he doesn't recognize. Somewhere behind the colonel there is a gun being pointed at him, but even from Deadeye's better angle he can't see much more than that. Note: Both players would noticed the colonel, but only Deadeye the gun behind him. ((Even if his plan couldn't have worked as was, I decided to use Shepard's plan more or less.))

(19:24:57) (PC)Shepard): *watches, surprised.* oO(Change of heart?)

(19:26:59) (PC)Deadeye): "oh hes about to die..." .oO(I wonder if I should do anything... but no need to be seen as an armed and dangerous hostile bug among humans)

(19:27:25) (GM)(Prysus): ((For those who don't know, Lt. Col. Weiss seen at the start of this game, in the scene, was mentioned last game and listed on the site. She's the leader of Black Eagle. Major Sykes, though not previously mentioned, is her second and, this has been mentioned, following her orders.))

(19:28:23) ChatBot: tristen enters the channel.

(19:28:54) (PC)Deadeye): *decides it's probably not wise to get involved and will just watch it play out*

(19:29:23) (PC)Shepard): (ah, okay )

(19:29:41) ChatBot: (wall.fly) enters the channel.

(19:33:00) (GM)(Prysus): Col. Radd continues to stand silent, as if debating about his next course of action. Finally he announces, "Let them through. Gold Eagle, your orders are to hold position to protect the mines when the kazire arrive. They will be here soon. Civilians and military personnel are to be allowed access."

(19:34:15) (PC)Deadeye): "we should probably hurry... something tells me his change of heart won't last extremely long"

(19:35:32) (PC)Shepard): *breathes in relief.* "Unexpected, but a huge releif." *heads in with the group, going for the ship, helping someone wounded.*

(19:36:05) (PC)Deadeye): *will follow the group with Bo*

(19:37:34) (GM)(Prysus): The group is able to head into the mines. Major Sykes leads the way (and that's no offense, but he's the main one who knows where they're headed, also the highest military rank present within the group).

(19:38:44) ChatBot: (wall.fly) leaves the channel.

(19:39:04) (PC)Shepard): (that makes sense, of course. :))

(19:43:26) (PC)Shepard): *follows Sykes, helping with the wounded.*

(19:44:38) (PC)Deadeye): *feeling less impending doom will drop the invisibility* "We are going to get off this rock right?"

(19:45:16) (GM)(Prysus): The group eventually comes to a large open, sprawling underground cavern. Deep down there looks to be a crater, but in this case it seems that it's actually been dug out. Near the bottom of the crater is a strange looking chrome ship. The design is cross between an almond and a shoe horn, with a pointed front and round back while a large flat bottom, slanted sides that lead up to a small flat top. Hovering beneath the main body is a second structure, a horse shoe shaped item that follows the back end and comes to a point at the tips. This strange thing is rather large, and just floating there. There is nothing even close to this in Earth tech.

(19:45:24) (PC)Shepard): *flinches when he notices Deadeye appear.* "You know, that's kind of creepy when you do that." *then something dawns on him.* "Question... were you invisible when I was visiting the general store?"

(19:45:56) (PC)Shepard): *whistles in surprise.*

(19:46:42) (PC)Deadeye): "why would I show my self to anyone if I didn't need to... It hasn't had good results in the past"

(19:47:32) (PC)Shepard): "I will take that as a yes. I thought you were mice and I was hearing things."

(19:47:58) (PC)Deadeye): "well you can thank Bo you never found that mouse"

(19:48:20) (PC)Shepard): *smirks.*

(19:50:47) (GM)(Prysus): Major Sykes, "If we try to leave in any of our normal ships, that kazire ship hanging over our heads will just shoot us down. But in this ... we at least have a chance.

(19:53:15) (PC)Shepard): "Yes, sir, I hope we have someone who knows how to fly it?"

(19:53:31) (GM)(Prysus): The group starts to make their way down the winding path of the crater.

(19:54:02) (PC)Deadeye): .oO(wonders what is waiting at the end of the yellow brick road)

(19:54:11) (PC)Shepard): "I can pilot, though I'm not the best at it, I'm not the worst either. If you don't need me as a pilot sir, I can help in the infirmary with the injured."

(19:57:54) (PC)Deadeye): "I can pilot to.. one of my few abilities, and if it will get me off this rock I would be happy to do it"

(19:59:16) (GM)(Prysus): Sykes, "The controls seem fairly intuitive, but we've never actually flown it out of here. Radd has been trying to keep it secret as we mined it for technology. This morning ..." *He stops near a constructed bridge that connects the ramp to an opening on the ship. It looks like he's stopping to help usher people in and see they don't wander off further down the ramp.* "... one of the technicians activated a control that sent off a signal."

(19:59:53) (PC)Shepard): "And that prompted the attack? @_@ "

(20:00:01) (PC)Shepard): "Are they after the ship?"

(20:01:22) (PC)Deadeye): "well that will make getting out of here a bit awkward" *will wait till all the civilians are on the ship and look for the cockpit*

(20:01:43) (GM)(Prysus): Sykes, "We don't know for sure, but it stands to reason. One way or the other ... they don't intend to let anyone live, and this ship now stands our best way off this world."

(20:02:28) (PC)Shepard): *nods* "Right. I'll help with the controls, sir, unless otherwise instructed or you think I am better elsewhere."

(20:02:54) (GM)(Prysus): Sykes (to Shepard), "Go." *As if giving confirmation.*

(20:03:45) ChatBot: tristen has been logged out (Timeout).

(20:03:54) (PC)Shepard): *heads to the bridge, and gets a feel for the controls*

(20:05:34) (PC)Deadeye): *will be examining the controls looking for shields, cloak, as well as maneuvering controls*

(20:08:55) (GM)(Prysus): And Deadeye, when you say "cockpit" where exactly do you mean?

(20:09:31) (PC)Deadeye): (bridge, control center of the ship)

(20:09:53) (GM)(Prysus): Okay, sorry, guess I'm just not used to hearing the term cockpit for larger ships (though I'm sure still fitting).

(20:10:48) (PC)Deadeye): (probably not as fitting I am a tad distracted or was any ways good now :D)

(20:11:55) (GM)(Prysus): And okay ... roll piloting (both).

(20:12:04) ChatBot: (PC)Shepard) rolls 2d6 and gets (3,6)=9.

(20:12:06) (PC)Shepard): ( / 7 )

(20:12:08) (GM)(Prysus): 2D6, Mind stat plus Piloting.

(20:12:17) ChatBot: (PC)Deadeye) rolls 2d6 and gets (6,6)=12.

(20:12:28) (PC)Shepard): "Bigger than the shuttles I"m used to..."

(20:12:29) (PC)Deadeye): (ummm wow)

(20:12:55) (PC)Deadeye): (/6)

(20:13:29) (PC)Shepard): (randomly shoots the ceiling and Col. Radd falls down? :P)

(20:13:42) (PC)Deadeye): (oh that must be the latrine I found)

(20:14:13) (GM)(Prysus): That's your mind stat, plus piloting Shepard?

(20:14:44) (PC)Shepard): ( oh, wait, / 8 )

(20:14:48) (GM)(Prysus): And factoring speciatly?

(20:15:14) (GM)(Prysus): ((And I'd overlook yours Deadeye but ... well, no amount of bonuses will help a 12. :P))

(20:15:16) ChatBot: Erinoth enters the channel.

(20:15:29) (PC)Shepard): (is piloting: spacecraft considered a speciaity? if so than / 9 )

(20:15:33) (PC)Deadeye): (yea I figured)

(20:16:31) ChatBot: Erinoth leaves the channel.

(20:18:14) (GM)(Prysus): Okay. Shepard can figure out the basics of the ship. He'll be far from an expert, but he can at least make it go. Through all of the exertion, running around, carrying Bo, cloaking and uncloaking, lack of sleep, Deadeye collapses from fatigue on his way to the bridge.

(20:20:04) (PC)Shepard): *starts to get it moving, to fly out of there!* "Everyone hold onto something. If there are anyone wounded, strap them in!"

(20:24:00) (GM)(Prysus): The ship moves, responsive to the slightest touch.

(20:24:53) (PC)Shepard): "Wow... okay... she's very responsive.... not like the clunkers I'm used to. So, ship, do you have a name? An artificial intelligence? Or are you just really really easy to handle?"

(20:25:06) (PC)Shepard): *tries to fly it up away from the mining base.*

(20:29:30) (GM)(Prysus): The ship lifts upward. If there is any intelligence here, it's not showing itself. As the ship lifts up, a display appears. This isn't a window, but an actual electronic display to show the outside. They can see the ship hovering over the military dome, and further out in front of them there's the kazire ship still holding position over the civilian dome.

(20:31:50) (PC)Shepard): <_< >_> *rockets away, hoping the Kazire ship will follow.* "Someone figure out how to use the weapons!"

(20:32:40) ChatBot: (GM)(Prysus) rolls 2d6 and gets (2,5)=7.

(20:33:27) (PC)Deadeye): *looks for the weapons controls* .o(maybe I'll be more useful when it comes to shooting)

(20:33:45) (GM)(Prysus): Before Deadeye can do that ...

(20:33:47) (GM)(Prysus): Roll 2D6.

(20:33:56) (PC)Shepard): (me?)

(20:34:00) (GM)(Prysus): Deadeye.

(20:34:02) ChatBot: (PC)Deadeye) rolls 2d6 and gets (3,5)=8.

(20:35:16) (PC)Deadeye): (i dont think dycebot likes me tonight)

(20:36:15) (GM)(Prysus): And since that was an "easy" task he had some bonuses (lucky for him), but Deadeye starts to come to again. One of his arms are around someone as a stranger is helping to carry him somewhere else (one arm over shoulder, the other arm around the waist, kind of supporting weight).

(20:37:36) (PC)Deadeye): "put me down, I'm fine now"

(20:39:53) (GM)(Prysus): ((You rolled a 12, and I told you there would be consequences for that defect. ;)) Though on the plus side, I only did it in a mostly safe situation. :)))

(20:40:45) (PC)Deadeye): "Which way is it to the bridge, they may need more hands?"

(20:42:20) (GM)(Prysus): Deadeye: The person helping him looks like military armor, white highlights. "You just passed out. You shouldn't be running around."

(20:46:15) (PC)Deadeye): "Yea, well if you want to improve odds of survival, an extra pilot in a strange ship can't hurt. And if you insist then just follow me there if I pass out I won't beable to complain then will I?"

(20:46:31) (GM)(Prysus): Shepard: They're able to start moving away. Though not specifically addressed, I'll grant that there's a safe way to exit the dome without smashing through and destroying the last life support it has left. As the ship starts to move away, the kazire ship does indeed begin to move away as well. The kazire ship isn't very fast, but it doesn't have to be. With Material Manifestation and their formidable weapons it's still almost impossible to outrun them, and they have yet to see a ship that can stand up against one.

(20:47:01) (PC)Shepard): "See if you can't take a few pot shots at it on our tail."

(20:47:53) (GM)(Prysus): Deadeye: There is hesitates. Then says, "All right, if you want to go, go. We have a lot more injured right now. But when this situation is over, head to the infirmary."

(20:49:17) (GM)(Prysus): So far Shepard, the other two present haven't been able to find anything. One is military, the other a civvie. Both look around at the controls trying to figure out some type of pattern or indication what they may do.

(20:49:25) (GM)(Prysus): Now, for Shepard ...

(20:50:03) (GM)(Prysus): This will be a piloting check, but slightly different. DCV plus Piloting (specialty included) to avoid the incoming kazire attack.

(20:50:19) ChatBot: (GM)(Prysus) rolls 2d6 and gets (6,4)=10.

(20:50:23) (PC)Shepard): "We need to find some sort of navigation or hyperdrive controls soon."

(20:50:26) ChatBot: (PC)Shepard) rolls 2d6 and gets (6,6)=12.

(20:50:43) (PC)Shepard): ( / 12 ... )

(20:50:48) (PC)Deadeye): *will attempt once again to head to the bridge*

(20:50:55) (PC)Deadeye): (oh boy you too!)

(20:50:59) (GM)(Prysus): Head on over Deadeye.

(20:51:19) (GM)(Prysus): Now, lucky for you, the 10 wasn't a hit. Still, a 12 is a 12.

(20:51:27) (GM)(Prysus): Typing ...

(20:51:44) (PC)Deadeye): *enters the bridge* "Sorry I got a little delayed in my arrival"

(20:54:13) (GM)(Prysus): The kazire fires a blast at the ship. At the controls Shepard manages to maneuver the ship to evade the blast, but in the heat of the moment Shepard hits the controls hard to the side. With such sensitive controls, the ship moves far farther than Shepard intended. The entire ship actually slams into a mountainous land mass. Parts of mountain crumble and fall below as the ship continues forward. Deadeye fells the whole jarring experience as he stands in the doorway to the control center.

(20:55:18) (PC)Shepard): *curses.* "Sorry..."

(20:55:35) (PC)Deadeye): "Ease up on the controls" *moves to take a seat in a co-pilot chair to help out*

(20:55:51) (GM)(Prysus): ((As said, Shepard is used to clunkers without nearly as nice of controls. When instinct kicks in, you go with what you know. :)))

(20:56:03) (PC)Shepard): "If you can find navigation or weapons I'd appreciate it."

(20:57:03) (PC)Deadeye): *looks over the instrument panel for cloaking device, shields or some sort of warp travel speed control*

(20:57:16) (GM)(Prysus): Roll 2D6 Deadeye.

(20:57:26) (PC)Deadeye): "I don't think were in a position to fight, hiding and running are our best options"

(20:57:28) ChatBot: (PC)Deadeye) rolls 2d6 and gets (3,4)=7.

(20:57:57) (PC)Deadeye): (mind 4, piloting space craft 2 not sure specialty bonus)

(20:58:14) (GM)(Prysus): I'm throwing in the specialty bonus since this is a space craft. :)

(20:58:46) (GM)(Prysus): I could give penalties for this being an alien craft, but the controls were mentioned to be "intuitive" so I'm giving you normal rolls. :)

(20:59:07) (PC)Deadeye): (yeah!!)

(20:59:27) ChatBot: (GM)(Prysus) rolls 1d2 and gets (1)=1.

(20:59:52) (GM)(Prysus): Deadeye finds shields!

(21:00:04) (PC)Shepard): "Okay... hiding doesn't help if they have sensors. And I didn't suggest standing and fighting. Potshots might slow them down."

(21:01:25) (PC)Deadeye): *activates them and hopes that will help* "Okay well we have shields, not that we need to test them. Pot shots didn't do any thing on the ground, I couldn't even alter their shots trajectories, I fail to see how their ships would be any more vulnerable"

(21:01:56) (GM)(Prysus): Second kazire shot ...

(21:01:59) ChatBot: (GM)(Prysus) rolls 2d6 and gets (4,2)=6.

(21:02:10) (GM)(Prysus): As Shepard is at the controls, it's up to him to roll the defense.

(21:02:32) (PC)Shepard): *tries to leave the atmosphere.*

(21:02:34) ChatBot: (PC)Shepard) rolls 2d6 and gets (1,3)=4.

(21:02:34) (GM)(Prysus): Well, Deadeye is there as well, but Shepard already has the piloting controls (as he was the first one there and figured them out early).

(21:02:56) (PC)Deadeye): "Now we need to find the speed controls on this thing and get her moving" (yea I wouldn't take over unless we hit another mountain :P)

(21:03:32) (PC)Deadeye): *searches other control panels in-case the controls are not all grouped together*

(21:04:44) (GM)(Prysus): Taking deep breaths to avoid pressing the controls too hard, Shepard maneuvers the ship with far more control and skill this time, easily evading the kazire shot as they start to ascend into the atmosphere. Even though this ship is as large as some Earth Battleships, this alien craft maneuvers with more finese than a small fighter craft.

(21:05:02) (GM)(Prysus): And okay, everyone on the bridge can roll 2D6 (that means both players).

(21:05:04) ChatBot: (GM)(Prysus) rolls 2d6 and gets (3,3)=6.

(21:05:16) ChatBot: (PC)Deadeye) rolls 2d6 and gets (2,1)=3.

(21:05:36) ChatBot: (PC)Shepard) rolls 2d6 and gets (2,5)=7.

(21:06:00) (GM)(Prysus): While all 3 were successful rolls, Deadeye rolled the best.

(21:06:10) (GM)(Prysus): Typing ...

(21:13:25) (GM)(Prysus): Shepard moves the alien ship out of the atmosphere. The ship is faster than the slow moving kazire vessel which is being left behind. As they continue to move they see the kazire ship starting to Material Manifest ahead of them. Being faster does little good as long as the kazire can keep them within range of their sensors to know where they're headed, they can simply use their Material Manifestation to pursue them relenetlessly. Deadeye continues to look over the other controls, hoping to find something else. This control room is clearly set up to be run by a crew, not just one or two individuals. In his search, Deadeye finds the controls for what he thinks is another type of engine drive. Though he's not sure of the specifics, he's fairly sure this is the type that is designed for long galactic journeys.

(21:15:53) (PC)Deadeye): "buckle up were going for a ride" *activates the controls* .o(I I hope we don't plow into a star or stray planet)

(21:17:04) (PC)Shepard): "Wait... without activating navigation first, we don't know where we'll end up, we could wind up in a star or something!"

(21:17:35) (PC)Shepard): "Major Sykes... where do we need to head?"

(21:18:14) (PC)Deadeye): "or we could run into their ship, just hope for the best"

(21:18:17) (GM)(Prysus): Well, at this point I'll ask, did Deadeye activate it anyways?

(21:18:51) (PC)Deadeye): (i so wanna say yes, but I'll wait a moment for shepard)

(21:19:39) (PC)Shepard): (i'd say no :P)

(21:21:38) (PC)Shepard): "Take over piloting for a second. She's really responsive." (has space navigation, and tries to get a heading to where Sykes suggests.)

(21:23:25) (GM)(Prysus): *Sykes enters into the control anywhere.* "If they're after this ship, then no matter where we go they'll be coming after us. We can't stay here, or in Earth. We know almost nothing about the rest of this universe." *There's a pause, then just an odd smile.* "So I guess surprise me."

(21:23:48) (GM)(Prysus): *or in Earth territory.

(21:24:00) (PC)Shepard): "Veriton territory it is."

(21:24:19) (PC)Deadeye): "I'll find somewhere, you stay flying" *will punch in coordinates though not sure where earth is*

(21:24:22) (GM)(Prysus): Except last I checked you don't know Veriton territory.

(21:24:45) (PC)Shepard): ( Darn. Was worth a shot. :P)

(21:24:59) (PC)Deadeye): .o(This will take me away from where I came from and away from this rock, and buy us some more time)

(21:25:02) (PC)Shepard): *just makes sure that they don't navigate into a star / blackhole/etc.*

(21:25:06) ChatBot: (PC)Shepard) rolls 2d6 and gets (6,4)=10.

(21:25:31) (GM)(Prysus): Shepard's able to enter some coordinates he thinks are good. :D

(21:25:32) (PC)Shepard): ( / 8 :()

(21:25:55) (PC)Shepard): "Okay, activate them, and let's go."

(21:26:11) (PC)Shepard): oO(I saw this in a video game once :?)

(21:26:14) (PC)Deadeye): *will watch as he never moved to the to pilots chair to take over flying*

(21:26:23) ChatBot: (PC)Deadeye) rolls 2d6 and gets (6,4)=10.

(21:26:37) (PC)Deadeye): (hey those do look good!)

(21:27:03) (GM)(Prysus): ((They fly into a star and the game is over. Free! I'm free! :P))

(21:27:14) (GM)(Prysus): No, not seriously. :P

(21:27:28) (PC)Deadeye): *will activate it as sticking around much longer isn't an option* (hopefully the ship will auto correct :P)

(21:28:03) (GM)(Prysus): We'll just have to find out ... next game. :D

(21:28:10) (GM)(Prysus): Though, we can continue today if the group would like.

(21:28:19) (PC)Deadeye): (I still got time :P)

(21:28:24) (GM)(Prysus): The display monitors go off as the ship enters into the galactic drive.

(21:28:52) (GM)(Prysus): No more fast forwarding though. The group can try to settle from the aftermath of everything that just happened.

(21:29:34) (GM)(Prysus): ((Basically you can go ahead and role-play, try to figure out the situation or what to do, etc.))

(21:29:47) (GM)(Prysus): ((But at this point I'll just be a response GM.))

(21:30:02) (PC)Deadeye): *leans back in the chair he is in* "one catastrophe after another" *said more to himself*

(21:30:11) (PC)Shepard): "Okay... we're in hyperdrive..." *takes a relieved breath.* "Alright... this thing has got to have a manual somewhere."

(21:30:28) (PC)Shepard): *tries to bring up a manual on the ship's computer* (Help file? F1 ! F1 ! )

(21:30:52) (GM)(Prysus): The real trick will be reading the language. %_%

(21:30:59) (PC)Shepard): *and tries to find the autopilot first and foremost. :P*

(21:31:17) (GM)(Prysus): * ^_^

(21:31:35) (GM)(Prysus): ((I can't even type a symboled face properly. :P))

(21:31:37) (PC)Shepard): "Okay... um... this isn't Veriton and it's not human... anyone speak this language?"

(21:32:16) (GM)(Prysus): Shepard, roll 2D6.

(21:32:33) ChatBot: Error: Unknown command: /2d6

(21:32:36) ChatBot: (PC)Shepard) rolls 2d6 and gets (5,6)=11.

(21:33:01) (PC)Deadeye): *tries to read the language* (could be his people that built it for all he knows :P)

(21:33:11) (GM)(Prysus): ((The peace whimper who goes?))

(21:33:22) (PC)Shepard): "Yeah... um... @_@ I've never seen this language before in my life."

(21:35:29) (GM)(Prysus): The language is a mystery. But, on the plus side, with some coordinates entered in the ship is operating fine on its own. :)

(21:35:56) (PC)Deadeye): "So you all are soldiers right?"

(21:37:18) (PC)Shepard): "There are civillians on this ship, but I'm a soldier. Sort of. Technically I served my tour and was just waiting for the honerable discharge."

(21:38:04) (GM)(Prysus): The civilian in the control room has light brown/dark blonde hair, cut short. He's probably somewhere in his twenties, but still relatively young. "No, not everyone."

(21:38:10) (PC)Deadeye): "I was just curious if this made everyone who ran away deserters"

(21:38:40) (PC)Shepard): "Technically not... we're leading the Kazire away from the planet."

(21:38:49) (PC)Shepard): "Well, maybe it does. >_< "

(21:40:09) (GM)(Prysus): Sykes, "For us to be deserters the kazire would have to admit not only they attacked the planet, but that we got away as well. I doubt that will happen. We're far more likely as listed as dead."

(21:40:37) (PC)Shepard): *nods* "That makes sense."

(21:40:59) (PC)Shepard): "That means everyone left is dead? They'd kill everyone before following us?"

(21:41:02) (PC)Deadeye): "Well, well will you stay dead then or will you attempt to find a different ship to head back to your own territory?"

(21:41:38) (PC)Shepard): *shakes head* "At the moment we need to survive."

(21:42:39) (PC)Shepard): "Then we need to find out... who is on board. Names, basic skill set, civillian or military, and most importantly whether they want off at the nearest stop or if they want to stay onboard and help be the crew. Or at least... that would be my recommendation, sir."

(21:42:44) (GM)(Prysus): Sykes, "If anyone here ever heads back, as soon as the kazire find out they would return and the kazire aren't known for attacking individuals. When they arrive, the wipe out planets."

(21:42:51) (PC)Deadeye): "well surviving is a plan, but just surviving isn't very promising for a plan"

(21:43:44) (PC)Shepard): "I see." >_<

(21:44:31) (PC)Shepard): "And no, just surviving isn't a longterm plan. But if anyone has better ideas..." *shrugs*

(21:45:18) (PC)Deadeye): "Then everyone on this ship is probably an exile then" *chirps happily as if keeping some thoughts to himself*.oO(maybe they will track me to that destruction and write me off as dead)

(21:45:22) (GM)(Prysus): Sykes, "For now, whether they like it or not, everyone onboard is in this together."

(21:46:08) (PC)Shepard): "Yes, sir. We also need an inventory of supplies, food, water, see if there is any clothing on board, medical, etc. The manual may be in some other language... hopefully someone on this crew can read it... but with any luck the manifest is in Human."

(21:46:14) (PC)Shepard): *tries to find a manifest*

(21:47:14) (PC)Deadeye): "then I think our next objective is to find somewhere to lay low for a while and figure out what we have, what we need, and the best way to get it"

(21:47:50) (GM)(Prysus): Sykes, "Shepard, I'll leave you in charge of getting a crew manifest. I'll get someone to take supply inventory."

(21:48:01) (PC)Shepard): *nods* "Yes, sir."

(21:49:31) (PC)Shepard): *calls up Sam on their radio coms.* "Sam, we've got a job to do. Find a clipboard, I'm going to need your help. We're going to need to find out who we have on board, names, ranks, civillian or military, and basic skill sets. More to find skills than anything else. Also languages. We need a headcount."

(21:51:03) (PC)Deadeye): "Well I will go check on Bo... see if he is awake yet. Hopefully he won't be mad about being removed from the planet" *heads off to the infirmary*

(21:51:28) (GM)(Prysus): And okay. I think I'm going to call it here for now.

(21:51:33) (PC)Shepard): *finds some sort of clipboard.* "I'll start on the bridge and then work my way down to the infirmary. Major... do you have a map of this place? If we're here longterm, sir, we'll need to figure out who sleeps where..."

(21:51:36) (PC)Shepard): (okay. :))

(21:51:48) (PC)Shepard): thanks for running! *hugs*

(21:51:50) (PC)Deadeye): (sounds good :Dfun game)

(21:51:53) (PC)Shepard): (Logistics! :D)

(21:51:56) (PC)Deadeye): thanks indeed

(21:52:00) (GM)(Prysus): Thanks for playing. *Big group hugs.*

(21:52:39) (GM)(Prysus): You said you wanted a space mercenary game, and I figured this set up would let you have far more control over the situation while still having NPC present to take action.

(21:53:13) (PC)Deadeye): yep, just need to find a full bridge crew that dont fail at everything they try to do :D

(21:53:24) (PC)Shepard): LOL! yes. :)

(21:53:33) (PC)Shepard): well, hopefully someone on the ship will be able to assist with that :P

(21:53:44) (PC)Shepard): which is why headcount/skill count is so important. :)

(21:53:56) (PC)Shepard): *goes up to random NPC* "Name and OCC please?"

(21:54:00) (GM)(Prysus): And yes, we'll get a more proper crew as things go on. But this was just a good start off from the chaos.

(21:54:02) (PC)Deadeye): lol

(21:54:21) (GM)(Prysus): This is BESM, we don't have OCC. If we'd played Palladium like I wanted ... :P

(21:54:23) (PC)Deadeye): We should of grabed a few of the big guns to come with us

(21:54:26) (GM)(Prysus): I tease. :P

(21:54:26) (PC)Shepard): LOL!

(21:54:38) (PC)Shepard): sorry, old habits die hard ;)

(21:55:47) (PC)Deadeye): aight well, I got an exam tomorrow and a final on friday so I'm gonna head out to study a lil bit before bed

(21:56:06) (PC)Deadeye): catch you all next week and happy 4th of july incase I don't see ya before then
