gragish: Okay, last we left Zach was exploring the tunnels with the one in charge of this entire operation, Lt. Travis Baker. After what happened with Vince, Travis was determined to ensure none of his other men would be in danger if something happened. He's already begun to have suspicions about this cave, and if a dangerous situation does come up he'd rather be the one in the line of fire as opposed to one of his men.

lady_coldstrife: (and i cant find the map i drew.. :-S ) *explores one of the unknown areas, staying 5 feet away from Travis.*

gragish: I can repeat for you ... leaving the power station ... left goes outside ... right and then left goes back to the research sight ... right and then another right leads to another intersection (which I haven't described yet).

gragish: ((*Gives time if you are making another map.*))

lady_coldstrife: right and then right

gragish: And these aren't straight tunnels, but just the general idea. By the time the come to the last intersection, it seems they've backtracked far enough that they may be around the same area as the power station (so went forward and then with all the turns back in that direction, 'U' turn ... not meaning that you're right next to it).

gragish: And so basically the last one was to make all rights, correct?

lady_coldstrife: right. all rights. :D

gragish: Just trying to figure the decision and make sure it was accurate. It's already two rights for the last intersection (the last one I'll mention for the sake of simplicity).

lady_coldstrife: (also known as making a left turn in LA... make 3 right turns. <.< >.> )

gragish: It's not quite that bad actually. Remember, these are not straight tunnels that twist and bend along the way.

gragish: Um ... I worded that poorly, but I think you get the idea.

lady_coldstrife: ( *nods* tunnels curve )

gragish: So, after take the right tunnel three times, the two come to another cavern.

gragish: Again, no power, but the alien tech can be sensed.

lady_coldstrife: *looks to see if there is any way to draw power from the generator/plant in the other room, or any way to activate the tech. Also, tries to figure out what it does.*

gragish: I'll state again (noted it like 3 or more times last game), currently the power plant area is fully charged, but until it is directed to send the power somewhere, it is only charging itself. As of yet, no effort to direct that energy to ANY area has been made.

lady_coldstrife: ( right. the power is just sitting there. Thats why I was looking to see if there is any way TO draw and use that energy. sorry if I phrased that confusingly)

gragish: I said that last game it could be done ... just that it was mainly ignored.

gragish: As for what the room does ... a lot of it has been stripped (though where the tech itself is can't be seen and looks like any other ordinary cave wall right now). From the minor pieces that are still left though, it appears to have been some type of medical facility though.

lady_coldstrife: "This might have been a med bay or infirmary I think."

gragish: There is also a tunnel that stretches out ahead of them as well.

lady_coldstrife: "All the good stuff was taken." *continues on.*

gragish: The tunnel effectively leads to the center of the volcano at an opening. Above can be seen the drab reddish sky of this moon, and below can be seen the heart of the volcano. It doesn't seem like an area that either of them would want to step off of. There does appear to be some type of alien tech here as well. If he had to guess, it would be docking clamps of some type.

lady_coldstrife: "Interesting... maybe there was some sort of subvolcanic vehicle here? Or a spaceship?"

gragish: Whatever craft it may have once been that would dock here is clearly no longer around. Any guess would be just that, a guess.

gragish: Travis, "Any chance of knowing where that vehicle would be now?"

lady_coldstrife: "No clue. Possibly those before us used it to leave when they abandoned this place."

lady_coldstrife: "Maybe it fell into the volcano and is down there, albeit melted."

lady_coldstrife: :( "Sorry, sir, I don't know. I can't like, do an object read on the clamps, I'm only a D class psychic."

gragish: *Lt. Baker crouches down and looks over the edge and down at the volcano's heart.* "And that raises the question then, why did they abandon this place? I get the feeling more and more that this place is holding secrets that just might get us all killed."

gragish: ((And I'll note again, of course, the docking clamps have no power. And until the alien tech areas are powered in some way, they look like ordinary cavern walls.))

lady_coldstrife: *flinches* "Maybe the volcano was active. I mean, an active volcano is reason enough, isn't it?" :-S

lady_coldstrife: ( right. Once he sees the rooms he'll go back and try to figure out how to power everything, then explore again. :D )

gragish: Lt. Baker, "Maybe. Let's just hope that's all it was."

lady_coldstrife: *goes back, past the once-medi lab and straight down, towards the unexplored section*

gragish: ((The right, right, left option. Got it.))

gragish: The room is a dead end. Short of sensing some more of the alien tech, there appears to be nothing here. From what Zach can detect, there are several shelves that open, kind of like some type of storage area. There also apears to be a couple small bays that are energy chargers. The items they charged would be small, small than the size of a person's palm.

lady_coldstrife: "Storage... maybe an armory?"

gragish: ((And you keep asking someone who'd only be seeing a cavern. :p))

lady_coldstrife: "These charge things smaller than a palm, maybe tools or..." *hesitates, and quietly says the word* "weapons"

lady_coldstrife: ( Zach has a hard time seeing other ppl's points of view. :p )

gragish: It does appear about the size of an E-clip.

lady_coldstrife: "Let's go back to the powerplant. Now that we saw the rooms, I'm going to try to send some power to them."

gragish: Similar, though not exactly. An E-Clip wouldn't fit properly (whether too large or too small I don't care, I don't know their sizes.))

lady_coldstrife: ( right. incompatable clips, but possibly same idea )

gragish: ((Just clarifying.))

gragish: Travis, "We can do that tomorrow. It's late. It would be best to head back and rest for the night."

lady_coldstrife: "Oh, allright." <.< >.>

lady_coldstrife: "Let me turn the generator off then, just for saftey."

gragish: ((Had mentioned it was only a couple hours before dinner time when they first arrived back at the site ... Travis still had to return with Vince ... and they still did all the exploring. It's late.))

gragish: ((And I did highlights, that doesn't mean that's all the tunnels.))

lady_coldstrife: ( k. :) )

gragish: Travis, "All right, if you think it necessary."

gragish: ((And I did note last game the plant went into a power saver mode after being fully charged ... so as not to draw more power than it can handle.))

gragish: ((I just like giving refreshers in case some areas have been forgotten.))

lady_coldstrife: *flinches* "I don't know if it's necessary, or needed, it will probably be safe, I just want to be cautious... it has instructions so it won't draw too much or melt down, but, I'd just feel safer if it was sleeping while I was sleeping."

lady_coldstrife: ( i remembered that, but thanks for the refreshers. Its not like you could tell what i remembered and what i couldnt. :) )

gragish: Travis, "All right, no reason to take any unnecessary risks. With things the way they are, I'd have to agree being cautious is the way to go."

lady_coldstrife: "Yes, sir," *relieved that he would agree with me.*

lady_coldstrife: *goes and turns off the plant again, and then goes to the site*

gragish: ((Well, Travis does appear rather paranoid of this place. So yeah ... he'd agree.))

lady_coldstrife: ( player knows. Zach is a little insecure :D )

lady_coldstrife: "Goodnight, sir, we'll start again after breakfast, maybe?"

gragish: "After breakfast." *Repeating it like a soldier, but also as if saying yes at the same time.* "The sooner we start figuring this out, the sooner we can get some answers and out of this place."

lady_coldstrife: ( where do they sleep? in tents just outside the volcano? rooms at a different location? sleepingbags on cots inside the site?)

gragish: Inside the volcano ... just outside the research site itself ... cots and sleeping bags (more sleeping bags than cots due to supply restraints and room available).

gragish: Not everyone sleeps at one time though. So that helps.

gragish: There is a night crew, but they are fewer in numbers.

lady_coldstrife: *sleeps in a corner, curled up next to some random piece of non-weaponry tech.* (possibly holding a radio like a teddybear.* >:D<

lady_coldstrife: ( and the hug was in character :D )

gragish: ((*Nods.* Figured. That's why I didn't seize the opportunity.))

lady_coldstrife: ( :p

gragish: And that works fine. I'm not worried if he wants a cot or not (not a big deal).

lady_coldstrife: *wakes up (:| , tries to make self presentable, eats breakfast, drinks coffee, and waits for Travis. Or lets him wait for me*

gragish: Travis is an up at dawn kind of guy.

gragish: ((Soooo not like me. :p))

gragish: ((Me: (:| Dawn? Oh ... must be bedtime?))

lady_coldstrife: oO(Morning person...) :|

lady_coldstrife: "Thanks for waiting." *has a small red imprint from radio on his cheek.*

gragish: Travis, "A soldier is true to his word. Besides, can't do it without. Right now you appear to be the only one that is able to work these alien devices in anyway."

lady_coldstrife: *chuckles weakly*

lady_coldstrife: "okay... let's go."

gragish: Travis still goes well armed. There has been no signs of hostiles ... or anything else at all in the volcano since they arrived. But he doesn't appear the type that is willing to let his guard down regardless of the situation.

lady_coldstrife: *walks to the powerplant and turns it on, and tries to see if I can't direct the power to other areas.*

lady_coldstrife: ( one thing you two have in common. ;) )

gragish: ((:p))

gragish: The plant has enough juice left in it that it doesn't need the generator again, but it does need time to charge back up again.

gragish: While it charges, Zach is free to try and figure out the plant though.

lady_coldstrife: *tries to figure out what controls would direct the power*

lady_coldstrife: ( LOL stst)

gragish: Hmm ... with the telemechanics, would he be able to figure out other languages (to some extent, not saying he could speak it, but comprehend from the machine in an alien language)? Or would it be a mystery to him as a result.

gragish: Yes, he can communicate with it, but could he comprehend what it's saying? :p

gragish: He'll get info regarldess, I'm just wondering how extensive.

lady_coldstrife: ( technology all has one language, math. Think of your computer. On the surface, it has multiple languages hard-coded in, english, french, and spanish, but underneath it all its based on math. So, I would argue yes, he could communicate with any machine that used math as its basis. Unless it uses biological components (ie trent with the crystal tech) he should be able to understand.)

gragish: ((And in the end, you can make a good argument ... not one I can fully understand :p ... but a good argument none the less. Just teasing, I understand the basis. I couldn't say if you're lying through your teeth as I would never know ... and no I'm not saying you are, just that I'm that out of my league I wouldn't have a clue ... but I'll have to bow to experience on that one. It was just a curiosity that occured to me as ... well, as I was getting ready to respond.))

gragish: I'll still leave a few open gaps though as a result (nothing too complex, just a few missing pieces of info that Zach basically already knows.

gragish: Things like ... instead of saying Medical ... it is Room 1 (for example).

gragish: Okay ... and typing the response to things now ...

lady_coldstrife: ( that makes sense. In the math it would be room 1, and the alien language would be labeled onto that.)

gragish: The plant (once fully charged) will expend so much energy to keep itself going. From there, it can feed energy into the generator so that it is recharged (not much energy required, but does not to be assigned. Though it's only purpose would appear to giving energy to the plant to start it up when it's drained). Then there are the various room numbers (not that I care which room has which number). One is the research site, one is the medical facility, the docking clamps, and the other the storage/armory (as best guessed so far). The plant itself requires minimum energy. From there, it is possible to give each of the other rooms so much power, but NONE of them will be at full. Most operations should function, but for optimum performance power needs to be cut from at least ...

gragish: one of the other rooms. In some cases, more than one is necessary. One of the rooms that appears to require the most energy is the research site. The docking bay is the second most (but only when it's actually in use instead of just on standby as it would be now).

lady_coldstrife: "Allright... it looks like we can power some of the rooms. Which do you want to check out powered first, the storage room, the docking bay, or the medical lab? Maybe we should just power two at a time for now."

gragish: ((As long as no ship is docked with the clamps, power should be able to be provided to all three without problem. The main purpose for so much power to the docking clamps would be to deal with a craft docked there ... being empty its main purpose isn't necessary and can run on secondary power.))

gragish: And the amount of power is directly related to the features allowed. For example, absolute mimimum power (in other words lowest necessary to activate SOMETHING and not cut off total power) would just allow the lights to work. Using the medical again, then they'd move on to basic scanning healing equipment. Then moved up for some of the bigger machines used more rarely, and so forth.

lady_coldstrife: ( right. Zach (and almost typed trent. :p ) wants to be able to use some of the higher functions, or at least see what they are, so just 2 at a time. )

gragish: ((Just trying to give you a better idea is all.))

lady_coldstrife: ( but thanks for the clarification :D )

lady_coldstrife: (( what's kinda funny... when I was first playing Trent... I almost typed Zach. :-S ))

gragish: And okay, I have no personal reasons. I like the player making the choices. Yes, Lt. Baker is the commander of this operation, but I think it's better for the player to be able to decide how to proceed.))

lady_coldstrife: "So, which two first, sir? The medbay and the docking ring? or storage?"

lady_coldstrife: *checks to see if I can power something in the main site from here.*

gragish: ((*Thwacks!* I just mentioned letting the player decide. :p))

gragish: And the main site?

gragish: As in where the others are stationed?

lady_coldstrife: ( yeah, the research site, where the cave in is. )

gragish: ((Just making sure.))

gragish: And yes, that is one of the rooms. It is also the one that requires the most power. To get full power, the medbay and storage rooms are the easiest. The docking clamps require the shut down of one other room. The research site requires the shut down of two other rooms. And though I'm saying shut down, I am meaning absolute minimum power (lights only).

lady_coldstrife: "Um... lets go to the medbay, docking bay, then storage room, then turn off the other two and try to power the main site."

lady_coldstrife: "Unless you object, sir." :-S (player knows he wont, but Zach has to ask )

gragish: Yeah, no objection.

lady_coldstrife: *goes to the newly powered medbay first, since thats on the way to the docking anyways.*

gragish: The symbols on the wall are glowing much brighter than Zach can remember seeing from the other site. At this power level, they give off different degrees of lighting. There are various features which can be activated. Tables that can be raised from the ground. There is also some basic scanning equipment, but there isn't any type of actual healing devices left. All the advance stuff has been stripped down leaving just the stuff that appears to be basically built-in.

gragish: Roll a D30.

lady_coldstrife: 29

gragish: Okay.

gragish: Moving on ...

lady_coldstrife: ( lol)

gragish: ANything else you want to check there?

gragish: I can type some basic stuff, but it's up to you to get inventive and/or clue seeking.

lady_coldstrife: "I'm basically human, I wonder what it will do if I ask it to scan me. Does it know what a human is?"

lady_coldstrife: *tries to raise a scanning table and asks the thing to scan me*

gragish: *Travis looks as if he gets ready for combat just in case.* "Foster, are you sure you want to try that? There's no telling what those machines might do."

lady_coldstrife: O.o "Its a machine. Why would it want to hurt me?"

gragish: Though the scanning table is raised and the scanner is available.

lady_coldstrife: *activates scanner*

lady_coldstrife: ( poor delusional zach... :p )

gragish: *Travis looks very ready to blow away the scanner if Zach starts showing ill signs as a result.*

lady_coldstrife: oO(people are strange.)

gragish: ((*Zach's face turns into a gas mask and starts asking if Travis is his mommy!*))

lady_coldstrife: ( LMAO )

lady_coldstrife: ( :x you watched Dr. Who. :D )

lady_coldstrife: ( omg.. captain Jack is SOOOO AWSOME! )

gragish: ((It was just on last week. But alas, I don't see anymore listings for more.))

lady_coldstrife: ( anywho. )

gragish: The scanner does little more than give a reading. From the report Zach is getting, it appears to be comparing him to ... whatever the normal alien specifications are. In some areas Trent is in extraordinary shape. Then in others ... he should be dead! An alarm starts going off (think of it as a Code Blue? in a hospital).

lady_coldstrife: *gets off the table* "It says my third heart isn't beating, if I heard it right..."

gragish: ((Luckily, most of the other tech has been stripped ... otherwise Trent might have had some surgery done. :p))

lady_coldstrife: ( twice you said it. O:-) )

gragish: ((Um ... :-S ... yeah, habit.))

lady_coldstrife: ( >:D< )

gragish: ( >:D< )

lady_coldstrife: ( tomorrow: "Zach and kori find themselves.. #-o " )

gragish: ((I don't think that one would be a problem now ... for me at least.))

lady_coldstrife: ( ;) ) "It only has the scanners, but it has a database somewhere. Its never seen a human before, I think I confused it. But I bet we could pull up the database and see what the normal aliens look like"

gragish: Travis, "Well maybe we should see it if has something to get that third heart beating again."

lady_coldstrife: "I think all the healing tech's been stripped, otherwise I might not have risked a scan."

gragish: And Zach can find the database, but it will only provide biology type notes. Short of him knowing medicine, it won't do him much good.

lady_coldstrife: "Okay... I'm not a medic, but I bet a medic could make sense of this."

gragish: "Think you can download it so we can send it somewhere to have it examined more thoroughly?"

lady_coldstrife: "Um... I was thinking that, but I don't know what kind of storage media would be compatable."

lady_coldstrife: "Even if we could put it on *their* version of a disk, no telling anything we have could read that disk. But I'll try, sir."

lady_coldstrife: *tries to find some way to download onto a storage media (think flash drive) *

gragish: ((With some jury-rigging, he might be able to work something out. However, the database is rather extensive and would require more than one computer hard drive.))

lady_coldstrife: "This is going to require a lot of memory, more than I've got on my person. Defintately a come back later and look project."

gragish: "All right then. It's nice to know our options though."

lady_coldstrife: *nods, then continues onto the docking bay*

gragish: *Goes along of course as security.*

lady_coldstrife: "I could probably rig something up, it would take awhile. A large external harddrive, maybe I could rig a translation for wireless download.." *continues on, techiebabble thinking about it until he arrives at Next Shiney :D *

lady_coldstrife: "Allright, docking bay... now that you have power... what kind of vehicle are you designed for?"

gragish: He can check the dock logs. Mainly, it appears to be designed for space type crafts. This appears to have been a spacefaring race. The last log shows them taking off hundreds and hundreds of years ago, before any record of civilization in this area as they know it. The reason of course, is not explained in the docking logs. In addition (to just get it out of the way now), an additional feature of the docking area would help to offer various defense for the docked ship (nothing major, but help it survive long enough so it could take off if necessary) and link with the ship's computer.

lady_coldstrife: *whistles in appreciation* "We can get a date for when the aliens left. Amazing that their tech lasted this long! Our tech has a shelf life of what, 20 years?"

gragish: There are also various devices that help with loading/unloading.

gragish: And roll a D30.

lady_coldstrife: 10

gragish: Trent is beginning to realize there is some type of pattern to all the alien symbols around.

lady_coldstrife: *hesitates, then focuses on the paterns, concentrating.* :-?

gragish: Zach!!!

gragish: And this is something I'll allow only due to his telemechanics, but he is able to figure out that the degree of brightness appears to give some type of indication to priority and power level required. Upon reflection, he can remember it was similar in the medbay, though most of the high-tech stuff that required a lot of power was stripped, but based off of the basic stuff that was there and their lighting patterns compared to others.

gragish: But in a sense, they are keys to activating the various tech.

gragish: So the various symbols are basically like controls, with the degree of brightness (the brighter the more important) being an indication for how important it is.

lady_coldstrife: "Lt. Baker... I think I've figured out what some of these symbols mean..." *quietly*

gragish: "And what would that be?" *Said curiously (and he heard as a majority of his attention is on Zach anyways).*

gragish: ((It's not like he can do much else right now anyways. :p))

lady_coldstrife: ( lol. )

lady_coldstrife: "Well... um, see how this one is brighter over here? I think it means it's more important, and takes up more power. And this one, that's sort of dim? It's less important. This might be for the loading cranes, I think, not sure. But that bright one over there is for weapons and defences."

lady_coldstrife: *points*

gragish: *Looks around at them.* "Well what clever little aliens we had."

lady_coldstrife: "I think... its like a sequence. Not just on-off switch, but power away from this machine or process and power up the important ones. I think that when the important ones are activated, it will override and draw power, taking away from the lower priority like cargo loading."

lady_coldstrife: "Or maybe its just bright and pretty." <.< >.>

gragish: *He lets out a slight laugh. If he wasn't staying so professional, he would have probably found it even funnier.* "Well then, do you think this could help figure out some things in the other areas as well?"

lady_coldstrife: "Maybe. We found the date the aliens left. The geology people can tell if they left because of volcanic activity that time, rough guestimate of course."

lady_coldstrife: "Let's take energy away from these two, then power the storage and the main site."

gragish: "All right, let's move out then."

lady_coldstrife: *goes back to the powerplant.* (is alarm still going off in medbay, or did that shut off as soon as zach got down from the table?)

gragish: Stopped when the scan stopped.

lady_coldstrife: *on the way there calls the techs in the main site and tells them the findings, as well as the plan to turn the power on over there, so be prepared for a light show.*

lady_coldstrife: "Um, I'll stay at the generator for 5 minutes, ready to shut down power if anything happens." (trent would ask to evacuate area first, but zach wouldn't think of it. :p )

gragish: And both the main research site and the supply room (the room requiring the least power) can be fully powered at the same time with mimimum power to the other two (if Zach desires).

lady_coldstrife: *no power to docking bay, minimum power to medbay (in case they want to try database) and power to storage room.*

gragish: And nothing of great importance happens. Though it is important to note that the power to the main room does provide more power than their generators could amp out. With the power of the generators, they could only see the alien symbols, but not to the same varying degree Zach learned about (which is now visible over there even though Zach can't see himself).

lady_coldstrife: "Okay, after checking out the storage area I'll go back up and see if I can't find anything the techs might miss. Even being a D class psychic has its advantages." :D

lady_coldstrife: *goes to the storage area.*

gragish: The storage area doesn't appear to need much power. The energy chargers appear to require the most energy when in use, but nothing currently. There are various alien symbols on the walls. Almost all of them appear to be the same brightness though.

gragish: There are also four different size compartments from what Zach can tell.

lady_coldstrife: *looks to see if there are any safe or locked away items*

gragish: Nothing appears locked and Zach can't sense any tech other than the drawers (for lack of a better term) themselves. Does he want to open all of them?

lady_coldstrife: :D sure!

gragish: Roll a D20. :D

lady_coldstrife: 8 :-S

gragish: Roll another one for me.

lady_coldstrife: 17

gragish: Lucky. :p

gragish: Typing ...

gragish: Zach opens the first compartment. The shelf slides out. It has several racks to look as if it something would fit on them. After fully extending, the racks start to come down to make it easier for someone to grab whatever is inside (about mid-chest height, while standing that is where the bottom lies and the top higher). Zach sees it coming down on him and about to hit him on the head hard when Lt. Baker pulls him quickly out of the way. Though the hit probably wouldn't have been lethal, it would have hurt! ((And possibly broken glasses if he has any.))

lady_coldstrife: ( no glasses. ) "Thanks.. that could have been a nasty bump."

gragish: ((With techs ... it's a natural thought is all.)

lady_coldstrife: ( babysitting. :p )

gragish: ((And just to give you a good description, I'll admit this was indeed an armory. This type of drawer would have been the type to carry rifles and/or machine guns from the size. The coming down part would put the trigger/handle there for easy grabbing. It looks like it could carry about 10 weapons of this type.))

lady_coldstrife: *shivers slightly at the thought of all the weapons that were at one time in those racks.*

gragish: Still open the rest?

lady_coldstrife: *a little more cautiously, and ready to jump back, opens the rest :D *

gragish: And knowing how the drawers open, Zach can avoid any further risks.

gragish: There are a few for this type of weaponry, some for smaller weapons such as a sidearm, others for what might be armor. And the final ones are far smaller. One of actually still contains the weapons! They are knives in sheathes.

lady_coldstrife: "I can't actually pick any of those up, but they look like they're just normal knives."

gragish: Travis takes one and looks at it. When he draws it out of its sheath the blade starts to vibrate (I'd call it a vibro-blade for fun, but it's not.))

lady_coldstrife: "Wait..." *concentrates*

gragish: No tech. It appears to be the material itself. The sheath is designed to contain this though.

lady_coldstrife: "Its not tech, or at least, it took a lot of tech to make it but there's no moving parts. Maybe sonic resonation or magnet?"

lady_coldstrife: "I wonder what it would do inside a glass of water.."

gragish: *After pocketing one, he takes another in his hands.* "Let's talk one back for examination. If there is an interest, they can come back for the others."

lady_coldstrife: "Allright." *locks the cabinets back the way they were*

lady_coldstrife: "Let's go back then. Unless you want to see how that med scanner would react to a cyborg..." *is curious but doubt he'll go for it.*

gragish: ((*Wonder what Zach thinks about him pocketing one.*))

gragish: Um ... we don't have any cyborgs in the group. :p

lady_coldstrife: ( he's a cyborg... he has micromachines.)

lady_coldstrife: ( thats a cyborg. :p )

gragish: ((I don't know if I'd call that a cyborg really. It's not cybernetic limbs and/or organs. Nothing is replaced.))

lady_coldstrife: "So taking two back to study?"

lady_coldstrife: ( in that case, zach's a cyborg, prosthetic voicebox. :p )

gragish: "One."

lady_coldstrife: O.o "But you took two..." :-/

gragish: ((Hehe, good point.))

gragish: "The other is for security. Don't forget we still have a mission here. This is their place and their tech, if something comes up we might need some of their weaponary."

lady_coldstrife: "okay... what kind of paperwork would you have to fill out for that?"

lady_coldstrife: ( the motto of Zach's homeplanet: "there are only 3 certainties in life, death, taxes, and paperwork." )

lady_coldstrife: ( may or may not be the homeplanet where this guy is from, probably not, LOTS of planets in the CCW )

gragish: "Lieutenant's prerogative, Foster. Lieutentant's prerogative. It falls under command decision to help ensure the success of this mission."

lady_coldstrife: "Oh."

gragish: ((In other words ... legal loophole. :p))

lady_coldstrife: ( that works. Its part of zach's character, he does lots of paperwork. )

lady_coldstrife: ( or is used to it, at least, it annoyed the PCs to no end. :D )

gragish: ((Heheh. Though if Zach continued to push the issue, he would have told Zach to stop asking so many questions.))

lady_coldstrife: ( PC tears up paperwork! X-( "That's okay, I have it in triplicate!" :D )

gragish: ((LOL!))

lady_coldstrife: *goes back to the main site, quietly.*

gragish: Yeah, it's fine.

lady_coldstrife: ( i could go on.. but would rather you go to sleep and be fresh for tomorrow night. ;) )

gragish: Heheh.
