Scene 1: Cavern of Survival; Determined Souls

Scene Set: After losing to a sparring match against Angel, Bacard has set off to train for a rematch set in three months. Valice, having watched the match, knows he'll be no match either and goes off to train with his sword brother and to watch his back. Before leaving, Valice invites Brianne along, who accepts. Note: This is a cut and paste scene.

Scene 2: Prison Raid; The Mysterious Sword

Scene Set: This has had little connection to the game as of yet. The prisoner in his cell makes an appearance later in the game (though I don't have the logs to that) and it is information he possesses which helps to start the search for the Sword of Dragons (a.k.a. Twilight Blade; a.k.a. The Dragon Tamer). The sword shown in the scene has not been seen again (not that the other players have any clue of it to begin with). Note: This is a cut and paste scene.

Scene 3: The Rejected Soul; Sins of the Family

Scene Set: A very small scene between Angel and Elegon where they talk about family connections and the sword. Prior to this Elegon had discovered the sword they were carrying was a fake, a clever fake, but still a fake. When the real Sword of Dragons was found by Angel, the first time Elegon touched it the sword tried to hurt him. After he sulks for a bit, Angel goes to talk to him to see if s/he can help make him feel better. Note: This is an IM game only.

Game Date: November 18, 2006 (11/16/06)

Scene 4: Confrontation; Grudges and Forgiveness

Scene Set: This happened during their travels across the Old Kingdom. It relates to an incident that happened while they were still on Lopan. When Bacard and Valice returned from their training (see Scene 1), Bacard managed to defeat Angel in their next match. Afterwards, Bacard earned the right to be Angel's bodyguard. During the match, Brianne had run off to start her journey on her own, even though Valice and Bacard both agreed to help her on it. Once the match was over, Bacard quickly rejected Angel's offer to serve as a bodyguard and ran off to catch Brianne. This is a fact Angel pouted about at first, but Valice helped to explain and smooth the situation over to some extent. Note: This is an IM game only.

Game Date: December 17, 2006 (12/17/06)

Scene 5: Ancient Past; The Story of Cardak

Scene Set: Elegon and Angel are talking about things. Angel decides to tell Elegon a story about his/her past and reveal a bit about the Cardak, the Dragon Palladin, the one who created the Sword of Dragons in the first place. It also reveals how there are half-dragons in this world along with why they appear as humans (which in itself is a major plot point). This story was done by the player, and involves the explanation for how such a character exists (for those that are curious). Note: This is a cut and paste scene.

Scene 6: Flames of Passion; Burning Love, Burning Hate

Scene Set: After being weak from blood loss (don't ask) and continuing to try and practice with the different options for the Sword of Dragons, Angel faints and has a vision. This vision is mainly a look into his past, giving brief insights into some things and raising questions about other things. It also gives a very brief flash of something to come. Note: This is a cut and paste scene.

Scene 7: Confessions; The Banished Son

Scene Set: Set not long after Angel had her/his vision, the group is staying in a small town just outside of the Western Empire. Since Elegon was banished from the House of Vunte, the group's destination after a brief stop here, it is decided that they need to talk. It is this point that Elegon finally admits why he has been banished. Note: This is an IM game only.

Game Date: January 13, 2007 (01/13/07)

Scene 8: Someone to Protect; A Reason to Fight

Scene Set: This is just a fun scene involving a couple NPC the characters met when they were still on Lopan. As the characters were going to be heading back there soon, I thought it would be nice to see how those characters were doing. It has no bearing on anything, just plain good fun (see the character descriptions for more details on the characters). Note: This is a cut and paste scene.

Scene 9: The House of Vunte; Father vs. Son, The Inferno Awaits

Scene Set: After the banished son, Elegon, returns home he learns that his father is repeating the actions which originally had the Sword of Dragons stripped from his family. In the name of his honor, and vengeance for his sister, Elegon challenges his father for Head of the House. As stakes for his father to accept the challenge of the banished son, Elegon put his "claim" on the Sword of Dragons on the line. The challenge was set for the next day at sunrise. Note: This is a full game log.

Game Date: January 18, 2007 (01/18/07)

Scene 10: Powers Collide; A City in Chaos

Scene Set: This is mostly picking up from the previous scene (though there was game in between, nothing major happened that will be noticed). The elf Brianne can sense is the father to Bacice, and the same one she's been seeking vengeance upon. As for the Blood Mage (type of demon I created, with Blood Goblins as lower demons), he was encountered once before in a previous game. He took control of Elegon and forced him to fight against the rest of the group. In a one on one fight, he actually started to defeat Angel (he kept rolling Nat. 19s and 20s on Angel's face) until Elegon managed to lure him away (long story) giving them all time to escape, only after they found the Clairvoyant Crystal key he once possessed. This is a 12 hour game, and about 7 hours of it is all combat (but lots of fun!). For the combat, I tried to favor cinematic fun over game mechanics. Note: This is a full game log.

Game Date: January 27, 2007 (01/27/07)

– Cut and Paste Scenes: If you don't want to read all of the scene and just want to read the cut and paste scenes I had prepared for the various NPC (located in different areas from the player characters as not to clash with them), here they are. They are included in the game log as well.
